Great finish by Shankland. Really impressed with his general play when he gets involved in the build up too.
Oda making the young Rangers full back fall on his arse a couple of times has been quite funny. Although to be fair he had the better of that battle for the first 15-20 mins.

Really not sure how this one will play out. The fact only 3 points will do for the Saintees makes it interesting as Levein might need to move away from his usual cautious approach, especially if big Theo fancies getting it right up St J and puts us in front. That being said, 3 clean sheets in 37 games and no wins against St J this year suggests you’ll get at least 1 goal.
I think a lot will come down to how arsed we are. We showed we can turn it on in virtual dead rubbers for us when the opposition had something to play for (Livi, RC) but the performance against Hibs was as end of season/on the beach as you will find.
By all accounts all our players already know if they’ll be offered terms or not for next season so some might not be arsed if they’re leaving or may want to go out with a win and a wee end of season thank you lap.2-1 Motherwell. A late Theo Bair winner on the breakaway as St J push for a winner themselves.

Scott Brown is a great player.

Steven Maclean causing a lot of seethe early on…ideal for the neutral.

Looking forward to this tonight! I reckon both teams would take care of St Johnstone in the final if they end up 11th so a huge opportunity.
I’ve got a wee soft spot for the Rovers as my first ever live match was against them (5-0 win in 1997) so I’d prefer them to get through, but Maryhill and Kirkcaldy are both cracking away days, so may the best team win and replace a shite away trip in Perth.0 -
A ‘home’ game for me tonight and been offered a free ticket in the home end by a Hibee at work. I should blend in fairly easily as I expect the home fans will be booing Hibs more than I would be.
Less confident that I was of a win if boring Monty was still in charge but I expect we’ll get on the scoresheet, as will Hibs as we don’t do clean sheets.
2-2 Bair and Nicholson for us.

No hasty managerial decisions now Hibees.

Laidlaw having an absolute stinker this afternoon which is just as well because County were well on top in the 10 mins before that goal.

That was very very funny.

One thing I am taking from that video… I wouldn’t be looking to India for any goalkeepers…
Remember a few years ago we had that young Indian goalkeeper on trial and the socials went nuts with Indian guys.

With Bain are you not just swapping one middling highly paid keeper for another?
Is Bain even better than Kelly. he was a bit of a diddy before his move to Celtic which was out of the blue.
The only reason Bain is at Celtic is because we wouldn’t let them have Carson.

I said on here before the winter break that Theo would hit double figures this season. I’d like to revise that and say he’s going for 15. Some boy.
They said it couldn’t be done!

Listening to Doncaster being asked about VAR on Sportsound right now. He has said that accuracy of decision making is up to nearly 100%. So does that mean that the people who want rid of it, on the grounds of feeling cheated by it, are paranoid?
For me, I would always want to err on the side of accuracy. Let’s get better at using it, and it would then mean people would no longer go through this hypochondriac “it’s ruining my enjoyment of the game” whining.
I don’t know anyone who wants rid of it because they ‘feel cheated.’
They want rid of it cos it’s fucking shite and has ruined the match going experience and ability to ability to properly celebrate goals.1 -
It hit his hand but it’s not a penalty for me - or shouldn’t be a penalty. Not surprised it was given with the current handball laws and VAR.

Callan McKenna is another one to keep an eye on. Looked very capable playing regularly for Queens Park at 16 years old earlier in the season before moving to Bournemouth. Not sure how he’s been doing down there or what age group he’s playing at but one for the future. Still a long way away at only 17 years old though.

And either Kettlewell wrote his bit himself or the comms guy really hit the right tone of how he sounds.
thought exactly the same myself. The opening paragraph is pure Ketts.

I see that none of our esteemed whistlers have been selected for Euro 2024 duty after their involvement in continental and international competition was cited as one of the reasons we had to bring VAR in.

Absolutely delighted for the big man! Get the feeling he’ll be proper appreciative of it too.
Some, eh, questionable selections in the rest of the team imo. Frankie Kent and Danny Armstrong must be arseholes on the park for other players not to have voted for them.

Say what you like about us this season, but we’ve scored some absolute belters.
For me it’s a toss up between Bair vs Livi for the chop, dink and shock factor, or Spittal’s second vs County because who doesn’t love a 25 yard ping.

Cheers. Had guessed it would have been something along those lines but didn’t want to be presumptuous. As @Handsome_Devil say’s, this will likely be his last chance to have a crack at the top flight (assuming Raith don’t get promoted) but it seems like he’s screwed the nut in the last couple of years.
