I hope we’ve got an improved contract in front of big Theo already. By all accounts he’s on absolute buttons at the minute so maybe a decent bump in wages in exchange for an additional year and the usual ‘won’t stand in your way’ agreement in Jan or next summer might be enough.
This is the first time in his career he’s had a consistent run of games and by his own admission he’s pretty inexperienced in terms of actual minutes on the pitch despite being 24. Hopefully he sees another season of playing every week being more beneficial in the long run and hangs around for another 6-12 months before making us a wedge and ragdolling Messi and co at the 2025 Gold Cup.

bring back those weird dribble penalties they trialled in the 90s.
I’m all for this, they look great fun.

Good statement from the Dandies. Mental that they’ve overruled an onfield decision with a guess.
Is that now Motherwell and Aberdeen that have released statements saying it’s essentially not fit for purpose. Am I forgetting any others?

Well done the Warriors! Hope everyone had a smashing day yesterday, long awaited and well deserved!

Aye I’d be fine with top of the bottom 6. Last season with KVV doing bits was enjoyable, and the bottom 6 games against Dundee and Partick in the season with Turnbull, Campbell, Hastie, Gboly and Gorrin etc were great fun.
I want Theo to hit 15+ as well.

This has been very funny.

It’s like putting on an old jumper.

Doubt we'll win, but we might f**k your bet up and draw, same as we did the last game at home against them. Think it's prob worth the risk sticking something on an Aberdeen win though, as well as being shite, and Martindale playing players out of position and not playing Anderson for more than a couple of minutes a game, we're struggling with injuries.
Which all points to a freak result with Livi winning 1-0.
Bet on. Congrats in advance on your 4th win of the season.

It was a bit disconcerting that Dundee appeared to have got things together this season, were operating fairly normally and having a good season on the park/tattie field. Quite pleased to see the Dundee we all know and love haven’t quite deserted us yet.
Just saw Scott Burns tweets. Fucking hell didn’t realise it was that bad. Someone’s breaking an ankle today - probably Lennon Miller based on how our season has gone.

Aberdeen are quite tempting odds for this given Livi have won 3 games all season. Thought the Dons were just ok during the 0-1 win at Fir Park but how have you been generally under Leven? Good enough for me to stick some money on an away win?

Does anyone have the slightest idea how much this guy is worth?
Working for a North American company, every man and their dug is a Vice President of something over there. Hopefully being a VP at Netflix holds a bit more weight than being VP at Goldman Sachs for example …..

Would Taylor and Travis be considered a family yet? Welcome to Motherwell the Swift/Kelce family.

How we only conceded one goal when we were being carved open any time the ball was played forward, f**k knows.
Fair play to O'Donnell for having a good game in two positions and setting up the goal, and Vale was generally tidy, everyone else was just chilling.
I was only watching the stream rather than at the game but it’s funny how people can see games differently. I thought, assist aside, O’Donnell was dogshit. The number of misplaced passes, long nothing balls straight to Hemming and numerous throw in’s he lobbed straight out for St Mirren goal kicks was infuriating.
Thought Gent was our best player but everyone else was pretty poor. We were so sloppy in possession, especially first half but it’s another point further ahead of County and St Johnstone. Another 4 points probably sees us safe so let’s get them asap and get big Moses on for a runabout.

A point a piece definitely a fair result. Not a game that’ll live long in the memory. Gent was good. That’s about it.

Quite enjoying Hemming flying out at every corner, clattering into his own men and then claiming for fouls.

Not much in that first half at all. We’ve been really sloppy in possession and conceded an absolutely comical goal (shock!) but had a few good chances that we should have taken. Gent looks like our best hope of creating something, he’s had the better of Strain so far. Olusanya is causing issues though, he looked like a competition winner last season.

Fairly even first half for me, we've possibly just edged it but not much in it at all. Need to see the handball by Bair again, it looked like he punched it like a keeper, I could be totally wrong though as I've not seen a clear replay.
I was absolutely amazed it wasn’t given as a pen after some of the handball calls we’ve seen this season.

That was a very Motherwell 23/24 way to concede a goal.

I know nothing about the guy but glad to see someone finally in the role and hopefully some much needed direction going forward.
Interested to find out how this impacts the external investment chat. Was it not mentioned that one of the parties (the Aussies?) wanted to put their own man in?

Fair play to Spittal, he’s more than done his bit for us so no ill will at all.
He’s definitely done his time after jobbing about at Partick, County etc and this will be his last (and first?) chance to get a decent chunk of money. Young family you don’t have to uproot and double your money - a no brainer for him.1 -

Tbh this is a welcome post. Someone who wants McGregor playing but is rational.
Why do you think he never left Scotland? Just out of interest?
Lack of options and just didn't want to?
Either way he would have been a better player for it. Could easily have seen him playing in a better league.
I'd be very surprised if McGregor hasn't ever received any offers to leave Scotland for a higher level, but who knows. I'm sure there was some chat about Rodgers looking to take him to Leicester when he left Celtic for them.
I guess when you are captaining the club you've played for your whole career, lifting a treble just about every season while taking home ~£25k a week (guesstimate) and don't need to move away from family or friends then I can see why he's quite happy to hang around at Celtic.

There’s McGregor on the 4-man shortlist for the SFWA player of the year.
FWIW, I think McGregor is a fantastic midfielder and is one of the first names on the team sheet.
He does a job that not many of our other midfielders can do and gives us the balance to allow McT and McGinn to support the striker. Always been a bit disappointed he never tested himself outside of Scotland but no doubt he was/is capable of playing at a higher level than Celtic.

I’ve had a soft spot for Tromso ever since watching them pump Chelsea in the UEFA Cup in mental snow in the late 90s. Class we’ve signed one of their former players.
Also became a huge fan of Mr Zola that day who became my username for this when I couldn’t think of one.
Weirdly, this game is one of my earliest football memories. I would have been 6 or 7 and remember watching it and being absolutely fascinated with the blizzard, orange ball and Vialli’s big baldy head.

Easton is class. Would definitely take a punt on him if he’s available. Presumably there are reasons for it, but no idea why he’s spent the bulk of his career jobbing about at the likes of Forfar and Kelty, he seems miles above that level.
