When I saw that him and Danny Wilson had both left the US, I wondered if we’d take a look at either of them. No idea what he’s like nowadays, don’t think I’ve seen him play since he was at Hearts about 10 years ago!
Bit out of the blue that one but good to get another experienced body in I guess.0 -

You wonder how the dressing room would react to the lazy moany c**t up front earning 4 times more than all them when theyre losing regularly but theyre still being asked to do the hard yards so he can just stand up front and poach.
I’m sure they’d be okay with it when the other option is their wages being halved when we’re punted to the Championship.

Aye, the short term deal gives us a bit of protection from a Danzaki situation in case he turns out to be awful. Also allows us to cut ties should the bad thing happen and we’re operating a much reduced budget next season.

Bair has been absolutely fine for us, and definitely better than I expected he’d be.
He’s probably played more than both we and him expected, but for a guy who was brought in as 3rd/4th choice striker (and likely on buttons wage-wise) to have 5 goals and 2 assists by the winter break is good going.3 -

Young Logan Dunachie has looked very comfortable at right back tonight against Aberdeen.
Yeah, by all accounts he’s been one of the bright spots in a shit season for Clyde. Been talked up quite a few times by CGT on The Terrace lower league pods as someone who could take a step up.

I can see him getting a loan deal with a Scottish club but probably not us. My money would be Aberdeen, particularly if someone comes in with money for Miovski in the last week of January and they go for the lazy option. I can see Aberdeen being precisely the sort of place he could go in the huff.
I think Aberdeen if they lose Miovski or Hearts if they lose Shankland are the only two options really, and I can't see either of those happening in January.
He's not going to go to either of the Old Firm and a handful of other clubs like Hibs, Killie and Dundee have already brought in strikers. It doesn't leave many landing spots for him in Scotland. Probably us, St Mirren and St Johnstone who we could surely compete with on wage contributions and we'd have the emotional pull. It'd likely be very late in the window once Groningen have flushed out any other interest.
......Can you tell I'm trying to convince myself there's a chance.

Brutal message to wake up to on a Friday morning. Saying that, I’m out for dinner tonight and tomorrow then lunch on Sunday so harsh but fair.
Edit: Top now sold.

2 weeks on the Pilsner and Bratwurst and I’ll be wishing I still had the XL

Christ, we're really going to need to nail this window if we want to have a chance of staying up.
Losing 3 starters in Biereth, Spencer and Slattery and a decent squad option in Wilkinson is less than ideal when we already had a thin squad anyway. We're probably going to need 5(?) signings that can all contribute pretty much straight away. A big couple of weeks ahead!

Didn’t want to start a new thread, so this one seems the most appropriate.
Would anyone be interested in buying one of the 150 year anniversary tops in an XL ahead of the Euros? Tags still on and never worn.
My mate picked it up for me during the first release but it’s miles too big and has been sitting in my wardrobe since. They’re currently going for £90 at JD, but I’d take £70 if anyone is interested. Can PM over pictures etc if anyone wants a look.

Sorted my Euro ticket trains this morning for a couple of our journeys (Nuremberg to Cologne and Nuremberg to Stuttgart). All pretty straight forward and definitely saved a few quid compared to the prices that were showing the other day.
A few of the post match trains were already showing as unavailable though (presumably sold out), so our return train from Stuttgart isn't until 6am! I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine if we win and have just qualified, but if we've just been knocked out and I need to kill 7 hours after the match it might be a bit grim!

What a time though...he's 19 here.
Campbell and Ally Gorrin sitting behind Gboly, Turnbull and Hastie, with Main throwing folk about up top. What a time to be alive.
A very fun 6 months…probably the last time it was fun watching us tbh.4 -
How the mighty have fallen.
Being honest, fair play to the guy, he’s turned the most purple of purple patches into a 5 year deal at Rangers and (providing he’s not been silly) will likely be set for life off the back of half a dozen performances.

Halliday was a player that had crossed my mind that we might be interested in. He’s been decent for Hearts when called upon and can cover LWB in an emergency.
Assuming he’s still motivated and not too distracted by his Open Goal stuff it seems like a fairly low risk, sensible signing on a 6 month loan.

I'll bet that we're going to get;
LWB, CM, Anywhere-Across-The-Front-Three out of that list.
We'll soldier on with SODs at RWB, Miller will return and we'll play a back three of Mugabi, Butcher and McGinn, and either Montgomery/Gent at LWB.An Anywhere-Across-The-Front-Three on the right, Gent/Montgomery on the left means we could also change our formation to having a front three, either side of Bair/Biereth
Yeah, you're probably right.
Obviously the likes of Mahon and Campbell won't have been on much money but with the other senior departures hopefully we can reinvest in some better quality if we're looking at 4 or 5 out and potentially only 3 in. Suppose we're back to picking up the tab for Maguire and Toby now though.

That’s a shitter for both the team and the player. We’ll be sliding down those fouls won/comitted tables that P&B posts on Twitter.
Between injuries, departures and other simply not being good enough, I reckon we need; LWB, RWB, CB, CM (x2?) and a forward. Could be a busy couple of weeks!

It seems our video has made its way into the realms of Taylor Swift twitter with some fan account with about 250k followers all talking about it Most of the comments aren’t particularly positive, but some followers seems to refer to her as ‘Mother’ and appear delighted that forms part of our name.
Didn’t have a MFC X Taylor crossover on my 2024 bingo card, that’s for sure.

As brutal as it is, you can't really argue with 1.5m views in about 18 hours. Whether anything tangible actually comes from it is another matter but it's certainly having the desired reach.
Big Theo POTM. Good for him. I'm calling it now - he's hitting double figures this season.

Had a Motherwell top looked out for fives later on. That’s been swiftly fired back in the drawer.

There’s not a fucking chance Adam Le Fondre is on 18k a week at Hibs one of the FM researcher guys for Scotland had to come out and say the £15k a week stated in the game was an error because folk were complaining about how unrealistic it was. The game’s been updated to suggest he’s on £5k a week.

I’ll give Ketts a pass on the mental formation / line up for today. That squad was thin! Watching some of our subs warming up, I’m convinced some of them still believe in Santa. A bunch of weans.

Hibs were absolutely murdering us down their left that first half to absolutely no one’s surprise. It looked like they moved Tavares infield a bit after we equalised which is nuts.
We need to sort this mental shape out or we’ll take nothing though. Slattery’s not got a clue what he’s meant to be doing and Spittal is being left totally isolated but is doing his best.
Daylight robbery for the goal but f**k it, big Theo eh? Some boy.
edit: expected the Var check for the penalty to be given. Looked like a McGinn handball from behind the goals here.

Hopefully Butcher or Blaney are fit enough to start so we don’t have to bring Mugabi back in. Expect we’ll bring in an additional midfielder in place of Oli Shaw for this one and go back to a more typical 3-5-2 rather than the weird 5-2-3 we saw against Livi.
Not sure what to make of Hibs this season. They’ve arguably got one of the best forward lines in the league but don’t seem great in other areas? Guessing they’ll have a few regulars missing due to Asian Cup & AFCON call ups too.
Another positive result, even a draw, would put a better spin on things going into the break with 1 defeat in 5 (Rangers).

I also heard last night he was off to Clyde. He’s never a premiership level player but he should be more than good enough for League 2.
