  1. I was always a Craigen lover. Lol. Knew he had potential even when he was getting a slating because I could see Houston was playing him in a position he wasn't comfortable with. He has terrific technique! That's what baffles me about Houston at times, playing players out of position and expecting them to adapt quickly and wondering why they don't and players are getting stick from us fans.
If we have started the recruitment already in the shape of Stanton then Houston is obviously here to stay and is identifying his targets early doors. As for Kerr, not fussed if he stays or goes as long as he isn't first choice. It's clearly obvious he manages 55 mins at best, then is gone. An old head to come on in the second half to see the youngsters through to full time and be a calming influence but never a starter please!!

  2. I thought Stanton was more attacking than Kerr and would be a replacement for Sibbald maybe? By all accounts he was Dumbarton's POTY so I'm willing to give him a shot at least. Smacks of a lack of imagination yet again though.

Agree, worryingly I think he may be a straight swap for Sibbald which unfortunately may mean the wee man is away very soon and a bid has come in. We can't keep hold of Sibbs forever. Only guessing though.

  3. Proved his worth in the last 2 games but he needs to continue it.

In the last two fixtures he has been encouraged to come inside and interchange with McKee. They have a good understanding so I'd be inclined to keep both as our central midfield partnership next season. Craigen isn't a right mid/winger and is wasted out there. We need to find a decent RB and RM during the summer and asap before every other club snaps them while Houston is still fannying about!
  4. Very interesting times ahead. 100% sure Houston will be there in the dug out next season. He won't walk and board won't sack him and part of me says he deserves one more crack at it but sometimes wish we would be far more adventurous even if we win 4-3 rather than shutting up shop after 50 mins when we are 1-0 up and holding out for the rest of the game. Or continually starting off slowly and chasing the game as happened many times this season. Gets a bit tiresome watching his safety first tactics. I expect announcements in the next week regarding Sibbald and Leahy leaving and others bring relieved of their duties for example Baird and Mchugh please!!

  5. Ticket sorted for next friday finally. Pleasing. Special mention to the lassie with the red hair in the shop who was most helpful in helping me negotiate the obstacle course that is our ticketing arrangements

Yes very pretty. Went in the other week for a flag for my son. Thinking of another excuse, I'm sure he needs a Falkirk pencil and rubber for school. [emoji16]
  6. Get the feeling we missed the boat with James Keatings signing a pre contract with Dundee United.

Did score a screamer against us a few weeks ago in injury time but think he is quite inconsistent, that's Hearts and Hibs released him in recent seasons. Then again could have probably been a better option than Baird etc and definitely younger at 25!
  7. Just dreaming that we make it to the SPL, what would our budget be in the close season roughly? Not sure who we have in the current squad who would cut it at the higher level. Houston would have some real wheeling and dealing to do in the summer if we get promoted rather than if we lost the play offs and were playing Championship football again! In my opinion I think Thomson, Grant, Muirhead, Hippo, Austin and Sibbald could make the step up. Possibly is Leahy, Taiwo, Luca, Watson. Definitely no would be Baird and McHugh. Can't say about Shepherd or O'Hara, haven't seen enough of them recently but they are young and quick!

  8. Hippo and Fash are unpredictable and put teams on the back foot and I love watching defences shitting themselves and their pace is a great strength, I hope both have great play offs. They are something different to the rest of our team but I just don't think Houston has 100% confidence in Hippo at the moment!

  9. Will Houston go for it in the play offs or just keep it cagey and play a more defensive lineup. If everyone is fit will he revert back to a centre mid partnership of Kerr/Taiwo. Kerr at least provided the assist on Saturday but he seems undroppable in Houstons eyes. Very interesting to see his first team selection a week on Tuesday against Morton/DU when it matters.

  10. I know it sounds really obvious but after two narrow defeats, Saturday will tell us if we have been affected by that or we are up for the fight for 2nd. No poor performances between now and the end of the season or we will be playing an extra game in the play offs! That has to be the incentive for the players!
