Kings Park station isn't much further away either, and in the back of my mind is the thought that it's possible to run trains up that line (i.e. away from Mount Florida station) which can go straight to Edinburgh via Cambuslang & Bellshill. Can any trainspotters erm railway enthusiasts confirm whether that's feasible, as if so is then why don't Scotrai's run football specials from there straight through to the East?

Yes you could, from King's Park through Newton and on via the Bellshill/Shotts line. I'll take my anorak off now.

I kinda agree, I really don’t think it should go to a no voting city, if Edinburgh is to host international football it should only be considered for a team GB (which the rugby types would get right behind).

We should decide where to play Scotland games based on the votes in the independence referendum? Given that this discussion has produced plenty of bonkers ideas that one is right up there with them.

Just found out that quite a folk at my work print out emails so that, in their words, ‘they know they’ve dealt with it’.

What a fucking huge waste of paper. They could create folder in their email account or use the flagging system. Genuinely this should be something that should see them get a talking to from management. Tree killing morons.

I used to work with a guy who would send you an e-mail, print it off and bring the printed copy over to you and read it to you!

Absolute zoomer, he was a dead ringer for Ned Flanders as well, god fearing with glasses and a moustache.

SFA powwow is tomorrow according to today's paper, which strikes a sombre note about Hampden's prospects, although apparently concern about lost revenues streams has raised its head.

Presumably timed to coincide they've released a survey from the Supporters Association claiming only 15% of fans want to stay at Hampden, which depending on the wording astonished me.

The day of the League Cup final Brendan Rodgers is in the paper slating Hampden, the day before the SFA were meant to decide on their future involvement at Hampden Fergus McCann appears from nowhere to slag off the stadium.

If I was paranoid I would think there was an agenda connecting these two events.

Presumably if the lease is run out then as well as leasing stadia for games they will also need to source office space for all the staff. That won't be cheap either.

    This.

    Follow the money.

For 250k a year the SFA have a 50,000 seater stadium to use for four or five internaionals a year, two cup semis and a final. they can alzo rent it out for concerts where their takings must be into six figures each night. They also get Thousands of square feet of office space with unlimited parking and thousands more square feet of space for their museum. No doubt theyalso get a few quid off the SPFL for their office space and the league cup semis/finals.

What would that cost in the real world?
