  1. It’s very funny indeed that JC was brought up on this weeks Terrace podcast, with both Fraser and Shaughan laughing about how much of a loser he is whilst saying even they’ve muted him. It’s much nicer here when he’s ignored and we can just laugh at how much of a diddy he is.
  2. Aye, I understand - apologies. I just meant there seems to be a sense amongst certain factions of the Clyde support that moving to the East End will result in us getting hundreds more through the gates every week, when youre right - being nomadic has killed that. The damage has already been done in that sense.
  3. All ties in with the teams performance on the park. Bigger games in higher divisions attract more fans. If we end up in the Lowland League we could be in Glasgow right on some fans doorsteps and they still wouldn't bother their arses to come. Absolutely crazy to think at this point that a G45 postcode will automatically unlock more fans.
  4. With the signing of Brian Kinnear today I’d imagine we’re going to line up something like: - Kinnear - - Cuddihy - Howie - Hamilton - McGinn - - Grant - Scullion - - King - - Leitch - - Kabia - - Allan -
  5. He actually never moved on to Ayr, but he played in both legs of the cup tie against them. He also played one league game then disappeared from football. A quick look at our news archive on the website says that Jim Chapman offered him a deal that summer, but he left the club for opportunities elsewhere.
  6. Now that Craig Howie is back, I'm assuming that about 40% of the people visiting Pie and Bovril have started working beside him again to resume normal service.
  7. I seem to remember him really struggling at first and then randomly scoring four goals in one game against Berwick. He was also superb in the cup run we had which culminated in him scoring in both legs of the Ayr United tie (the Connor Quinn Experience). *Edit* Having checked - he scored 8 league goals in his first season, 4 of which were indeed in one game. A real 90 minute purple patch!
  8. I feel like he must have managed at least 50% of the teams below the Lowland League at this point
  9. It's got to be Scott Fox doesn't it? Surely for such an important position, McCall will be going for a known quantity. Aside from him, I can't think of who else it would be. Jamie MacDonald and David Mitchell are under contract/injured/both.
  10. I totally agree with you. The squad now is a completely different proposition than it was two months ago and (again, on paper) perfectly capable of winning the required number of games. We shall see however. Games a bogey if we don't get a big result this coming weekend.
  11. We have 8 points to make up - so we need to win at the very least 3 more games than Stranraer do in the final 14 games of the season to finish 9th. I think that's fairly doable with the squad we currently have. We absolutely have to beat Stranraer on Saturday though. If not, it's curtains. If we *do* win on Saturday, it's down to 5 points to make up in 13 games which to me is more than doable imho. Providing we get the win on Saturday, I won't be counting us out. The current squad is (on paper, technically) the most talented group of players we've had at the club in years.
  12. He's still speaking if you ignore him. He can still say whatever stupid shit he wants, it's just that we have the benefit of not having to pay attention to him.
  13. - Parry - - Dunachie - Howie - Hamilton - McGinn - - Ballantyne - Grant - - King - - Leitch - - Kabia - - Allan - Imagine a team like this at the start of the season. Instead for instance against Peterhead in August we got: - Leighfield - - McCulloch - Sula - Dunachie - Craig - - Cuddihy - Carswell - - Mulvanny - Cameron - C. Scullion - - Malcolm - I know there are extenuating circumstances re: finances or players wanting to play for McCall/Scally but holy shit, the above really does shine a light on how bad the summer recruitment was when you see it laid out like that. The board, Duffy have combined to absolutely kill us here. I still live in hope that we survive.
  14. As far as I know he was doing some goalie coaching with Queen's Park, so provided he's not working Saturdays he'd be a very handy signing indeed
  15. We were actually training at Airdrie for at least one night under McLean and Millar
  16. I think that's because most people just have JC on mute now.
  17. Could have saved yourself some time and stopped typing here. Cheers for the input though, Captain Obvious.
  18. To be honest, if we can build up a bit of momentum, I actually can see this squad beating EK in a play off. They’re a rabble, managed by a charlatan. Our squad and coaches now look decent enough for League 2, albeit about 8 months too late. I’d really rather scrape 9th of course. The timing of last weeks games was unfortunate. Having to go to Elgin on a Tuesday and then play one of the better teams in the league on Saturday when we really needed the points was less than ideal. Looking at Saturday’s result in isolation, it’s not a disaster. We should have won. However the first half of the season has meant that conceding that penalty could doom us. Regarding bringing on Rennie, I don’t think it’s McCall’s fault entirely. Rennie is our top scorer and has been taking chances. It’s not McCall’s fault he’s a shitebag. In hindsight, you’d probably have been better off keeping Allan on or bringing on Connor Young. Regardless, gutted.
  19. Cheers, but I meant the drop off between where Clyde were fairly recently and potentially will be next season. It’s obvious that the difference isn’t too great between the bottom of L2 and the top of the LL.
  20. My brother, you literally said “only a step up from the amateurs” - which is both literally and figuratively incorrect
  21. Having played in both, I can tell you that the difference is huge. You can tell that even just by watching. The fact you're comparing the two means you don't understand. No one is talking up the Lowland League. It's a big drop off, and embarrassing - but we deserve it if we go down. Unfortunately I've been a Clyde fan all my life and this has been coming for us since the pyramid opened up. Since I chucked playing on Saturdays there aren't many games I've missed by choice, but I agree that I wouldn't be going to the B team games. I'd rather buy my tickets individually and put money into the club via another route.
  22. God this attitude is so, so weird and uninformed isn't it
  23. ... and by gum it put them on the map!
