  1. It’s absolutely not an investment. You have to be a complete lunatic to think putting money in a football club would see you end up with a profit.

I don’t think it is particularly fair to say they don’t care either. They clearly do care and are willing to lose hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to keep the club going. The main issue is that they don’t have a clue how to run a football club so decided to bring some one in to deal with it, which is actually very sensible, the problem being the man they employed to do that is Scot Gardiner.

2-0 up then 3-2 up & we fucking bottle it with poor defending from crosses & stupid mistakes. Reckless challenge from Shaw for the penalty that cost us dearly. Can't help but feel that's gonna bite us in the ass come the end of the season.

At least the game was actually entertaining & I suppose a draw is better then nothing against one of the top 3 teams. Most ICT fans would've happily taken a point but to throw that away is just frustrating. It's got all the signs of relegation. We can't hold onto a lead, we can't hold onto a draw & as soon as we go a goal down the heads drop & we struggle to get back into the game.

Next 2 games are crucial anything less then 4 points and we're in big trouble...

I absolutely get where you are coming from as I do have those thoughts as well but we did play well today, defending aside, which is what we have been looking for at home. Partick are a good team and as you say you’d have taken a point beforehand so while there are real worries there are also some positives to take.

If we can go forward like that today at home against worse teams in the league you’d like to think we would pick up enough points plus keeping up the away form to see us safe reasonably comfortably.

Then again maybe it was because Partick came up here and did try to play attacking football whereas other teams have sat in, quite rightly, as we can’t break them down.

There is definitely something in the team/playing style that has more than enough to stay in the division, we just don’t seem to see it often enough.

Big Duncs record for us is actually pretty solid for the championship. By no means spectacular but I think if you used his wins/losses/draws over the course of a season it would be fighting for the playoffs at the right end of the table. The utter disaster of a start has just made every negative result we have now look so much worse.

Right.  This was a bit like the Iraq and Africa episodes, with a touch of Vietnam, but nowhere near as good. And they know it.

I suppose that is the problem after you have done so many, there are only so many different things/climates you can do. It is going to start repeating itself.

You could probably get away with it if they were still doing the weekly episodes with car reviews etc as it wouldn’t be as noticeable but then they wouldn’t make as much cash out of it.

  4. I’m absolutely fuming we’ve chucked that away. All 3 goals conceded came from shite defending of crosses.

Partick dominated from us going 2-0 up so I suppose they will feel they deserved a point from the game but we have to see that game out and take all 3 points.

Next two games are fucking massive. Need to be taking 6 points from them and I don’t see that happening.

I really fucking hope not. There's a conversation that would break your heart....

Well you will have met someone and be happier than ever so it’s swings and roundabouts really…

In all seriousness though it’s all about the kids and making sure they are happy. Though at the same time, and I may well be an arsehole for saying it, that would be with you both staying together.

Signed my marriage away today. Pretty fucking surreal tbh. Still not even sure why we did it but have certainly reached the point of acceptance. Fingers crossed now only 3 or 4 weeks till we're in seperate houses, but thats the scary bit in my mind.... What does life look like after that. I've so much in the past few weeks to try an dmake sure it all happens so she can get the house she wants that I havent permitted myself to let all that out.... I dont want to be skint or lonely.... I suppose I can work on the second one myself. Time will tell for the first!

I’ve got so much sympathy for you, which is kinda weird since you are a complete stranger, but from what I gather we have 2 kids of similar ages with little help for childcare etc. The fact is you really don’t get much time to spend together just as a couple and while I don’t like it I just accept it is what it is and deal with it which I think is exactly what you are doing as well. Whereas I don’t think the other side deal with it as well.
Going by what you have said on here I see a few similarities with my mrs. For her anyway she has a few friends with kids split from their partners and sees them going out quite a lot (plus the benefits they get from being a single mother etc) and start to think the grass is greener on the other side.

The thought of being a single dad of two in my mid thirties absolutely terrifies me tbh, mainly from a dating point of view as the whole tinder or whatever app it is seems like a total nightmare.

Hope it all works out well for you both and while none of this is particularly useful and could well be a load of shite I wouldn’t be surprised if your ex realises she has made a big mistake in a few years.

    This.

Scottish football goes so far trying to be a poor imitation of England

It’s the wild, inconsistent shite that makes the SPFL so entertaining.

Loads of people slate Scottish football, some of which may be justified, but for me it’s one of the only leagues about where it is still what I would call “proper football”.

None of this touristy shite that has taken over the Barclays for example.

Name a club or fans that dont have higher ambition if additional cash generation opportunities arise?

    That’s not his point though.

It’s not the councils fault we have been making massive losses every year, which the directors have been covering. If you want the club to have a future the first thing to do is to only spend the money we actually bring in and whatever level that leaves the club you have to deal with it. Then any extra income that can be brought in can be spent to help improve the club.

You can’t go threatening the council about stopping extra income coming into the club threatening the future of the club when it has been run like an utter shit show for years.

Do they mention the corporates by name? Can't say I've ever remembered if they have so pretty crap advertising.

It was Innocent smoothies that were on the last task. Mentioned by name a couple of times, I'm sure.

They did well with their margins but the product was awful. I often wonder if the corporate clients are told beforehand that in order to feature in the show they must always make a deal with this lot regardless of price.

Essentially free advertising for them isn’t it. They won’t mind dishing out £500 or so, if it’s even their money they use, to get a nice wee promotion on a BBC program.

Aye, I find the post game presentation at Super Bowls to be awful, you don't see the whole team together lifting the trophy etc.

    Americans being Americans I suppose.
