  1. Frustrating night. When it started it looked like we’d be blown away. At 2-0 down I thought it was over. But that goal gives us hope. They are the better team but if we play football then we cause them problems. Absolutely nothing to lose on Sunday. Go up there and take the game to them. If we go a goal down then just go full Murrayball and enjoy it. It’s been a great ride.

On the food thing, don’t know the figures but hard to stress just how much the catering has improved under the new board. Before it was absolutely garbage with cheap nasty pies and even cheaper burgers. Most never went near it. Now it’s Stuart’s pies, Bridies, hot dogs, popcorn for kids and the joy that is the Rover’s Empire biscuit. The queues are ridiculous. Think we also get to keep the takings now rather than the provider taking the lions share.. 500% sounds low tbh.

  2. Christ there’s going to be some meltdown amongst the plastic pitch bedwetters if we go up. Was an artificial pitch sceptic at first, but it’s been brilliant for Rovers. Plays brilliantly, games never in danger of being off and Stark’s Park now gets used by the whole community which has brought the town closer to the football club. Not one opposition player or manager has criticised it, even though we’ve a good home record this season. Says it all.

  3. f**k me. What a night. Thought we were second best most of the game but hung in.  Scott Brown was heroic.
Almost couldn’t watch during those penalties and Vaughan to send us through. Fucking brilliant. Fair play to Thistle. Gave us a fright and their support was terrific. Helped create a great atmosphere.

No problems with the pitch invasion. Mixture of relief and joy. As far as I saw no one acted the c**t when on. Unlike the morons who threw flares onto our artificial pitch. Dumb as f**k.

No idea what the final will bring but after our season think we deserved to be the ones with a shot at it. Hope it’s St Johnstone so that Turner can play.

  4. Only me that thinks that there may be a risk that we’re all just taking tomorrow night for granted a wee bit. Just watched the pre-match interviews and there was a little bit of a haven’t we done well vibe going on. Premiership is still miles away at the moment and if Thistle score first tomorrow then it’s going to be a proper shitfest of a game. Team and crowd need to be ready for that.

Brian Graham is clearly Thistle’s best threat but he only scored once against us during the season and even than was only a penalty. If we can stop him it should make things a bit easier.

This is going to be important. Hopefully his legs are running on empty after two hard games.

Main worry is that our defence hasn’t  been settled all season and has can easily chuck in a couple of stupid goals in a short spell. Thistle home, Ayr home, Arbroath home and away, Airdrie home. As we know from play offs in the past, if you throw in two goals in 5/10 minutes then these ties can be dead in the water. The good thing is that the Thistle defence can be also be got at.

Ach enjoy your title win. We’ve no challenged at this level for almost 15 years, so let us have a bit of fun with it.

Think our social media missed a trick not congratulating United on the title. Class thing to do, reminds them it’s all banter making all the United yahoos getting upset in the replies look even more stupid,

I would offer Dick a new deal as he can play LB or CB and has played almost every game. Signing another LB to provide competition should be a priority though, ideally one that can get forward.

Would be happy with him as a back up for LB/CB. Think if we’re going to compete for the title again then the first choice left/right backs need to be much better than Dick/Millen/Brown.

Raith Rovers hanging on in there for as long as they did kept it interesting, but I can't help thinking they really let us off the hook. We were there for the taking several times this season and they never took advantage of that.

This pretty much sums it up. Needed to put you under real pressure by going clear or top at key moments late in the season but we could never manage it. Just a step too far for us.

    Well done United. Deserved Champions.

  9. The way we sit off teams in midfield and let them advance with very little pressure isn’t good for the heart, especially when we’re trying to hold onto a lead.

main take from last night is that we’re far more threatening with Vaughan and Easton in there. Dylan can be infuriating wasteful but when he twists and turns he scares the shit out of opposition teams. The Play offs will be very tight and could come down to a moment of quality. We’re far more likely to get that with Easton and Vaughan on the pitch.
