  1. Janko is a pacy right back, had an absolute shitemare in the second leg of champions league qualifying so Brendan shipped him off to Barnsley on loan. He's frequently injured but has some skill
  2. Middle of row 2 should be safe, although he be a bit worried about having Sato next to him. IMS is really sensitive to wind and a lot of drivers were getting caught on the exit of turn 2, a couple of guys brushed the wall. In the end the cream rises to the top and the best driver in Indycar, Scott Dixon, put together as perfect a 4 lap qualifying run as you will ever see. He was smooth and consistent, especially through the troublesome turn 2
  3. Haha, probably not. I'm just trying to be helpful. We have a bunch of players who need a new home and Aberdeen would be a great place for these lads. Plus I want to see Aberdeen stay strong so that Sevco doesn't finish second next year...
  4. GMS needs a fresh start and Aberdeen could be a good option. While you are at it, would you like Scott Allan and Nadir Cifcti also?
  5. That is quite true, although qualifying higher up helps reduce the risk of getting involved in someone else's accident in the early laps, the 3 wide start means that it can get very congested in the first laps. In 2012 Dario started 16th, it was a weird year because it was the first of the new turbo engine formula and the Chevrolet's were faster but the Honda's were more fuel efficient meaning that by the end it was the Honda cars up front. I was sitting closer to the start/finish straight that year (in what's called B stand) and it was a pretty epic battle at the finish. I was pulling for Takuma Sato to win but he ended up doing a Sato on the last lap and crashing while going for the lead.
  6. Apparantly the goalie for Buchbach in the 4th tier pulled a Jimmy Glass and kept them up by scoring a 96th minute winner!
  7. I'm glad that Bourdais wasn't more seriously injured but I'm gutted for him being out for a while. He's had such a good season so far driving for one of the smallest budget teams. It was a really hard hit, thankfully he hit the SAFER barrier or else it could have been much worse.
  8. Looks like final "Fast Friday" practice is done and dusted. Sebastien Bourdais was fastest of the day at over 233 MPH although Ryan Hunter-Reay had the fastest "no-tow" speed with a 231.2. Most teams were doing qualifying sim runs, Alonso's fastest lap was a 231.8, with fastest "no-tow" speed being a 230.9. IMS is extremely weather sensitive so if it's cool and not windy in qualifying on the weekend then there could be some pretty good speeds. The 4 lap average qualifying runs require a lot of concentration so any wind gusts can cause problems. A couple of young drivers, Spencer Pigot and Zach Veach both crashed but were unhurt today. Edit: forgot to add that Alonso's best overall speed was 4th fastest and best no-tow speed was 5th fastest
  9. Nearly succeeded in my goal of winning the champions league with a (mostly) Scottish Celtic team. Got to the final in 2024 only to be pumped 5-2 by Man United. Starting XI contained 9 Scots and 2 Italians. Bench had 4 Scots, 1 Italian, 1 Portuguese, and 1 Dane.
  10. I'm a Celtic fan and I'm perplexed by the claim of an all Old Firm media outlet being completely different. I watched their video and am also confused by their claim of not doing match reports and only writing about stuff that people really want to read about. Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned but as a football fan I quite like reading reports of football matches.
  11. Indy 500 practice started today, the man all eyes are on, Fernando Alonso, put in a fastest lap above 223 MPH with his teammate Marco Andretti logging the fastest of the day at over 226 MPH but that was with a pretty strong tow. 2013 Indy 500 winner Tony Kanaan had the fastest "no tow" speed at a hair over 223.5 MPH. Only incident of the day was British rookie Jack Harvey who had a steering problem on his out lap slapping the wall in turn 2. Indy, being different from all other races, has a full week of practice before 2 days of qualifying, followed by yet another practice day, then a week of media work followed by 1 hour on the Friday before the race and then race day. My mate and I are leaving Ottawa bright and early next Wednesday morning to drive down to Indy, it's a mere 13-14 hours and 900 miles to drive! It's a long day but not too bad with 2 drivers, plus the beer tastes extra nice once we get to Indianapolis. I'll post some pictures from my adventures down there!
  12. This If the Young Boys rumours are true then it could be a very good move for him. The Swiss league is decently strong but not so strong that a guy at his level wouldn't get a game in. Plus it would give him the opportunity to play European Football
  13. I forgot about Rherras, Hearts seem to have gone down the "quantity over quality" route with signings that so many Scottish clubs seem to do (Celtic included, hence why we had Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim-Richards) so a clear out of the mediocre guys is probably in order.
  14. That will probably mean he'll end up in the English Championship, hopefully he will end up playing more regularly
  15. Berra would be a good addition for Hearts, a CB pairing of him and John Souttar (who was Hearts best CB before getting hurt IMHO) would be a solid partnership. Certainly better than the revolving door of below average guys that have played in the second half of the season.
  16. It's such a shame that his career appears to have burnt itself out at such a young age. Thus are the potential pitfalls of building a kid up at such a young age, let's hope Billy Gilmour's career progression doesn't suffer a similar fate at Chelsea
  17. I don't follow French football too closely but I have a bit of a soft spot for Marseille. Partially because I really loved the food in Marseille when I visited! I sometimes cheer for football teams with my stomach!
  18. What's the situation with Callum Paterson? I know he's going to be out until sometime next autumn but it seems silly that Hearts wouldn't offer him a new deal regardless? When fit he's a solid RB so would be silly to let him go for nothing IMHO.
  19. Sky have developed this idea that incompetence can be charming. It's why Chris Kamara missing a red card because he wasn't paying attention is such a famous clip.
  20. Is that code for: I can't be bothered to train properly because I would rather watch movies
  21. Don't worry, Dave King with write Aberdeen a cheque for infinity billion pounds and all will be good.
