I'm actually in Plovdiv (not related to the NI game) and saw a lot of NI shirts around all day. The only crime I saw was NI fans singing Sweet Caroline.

The older part of the town is the jewel, up a hill from memory where the spectacular Roman amphitheatre is.
Even the main part of the city is great with lots of Roman remains. Good place for wandering and great cafe culture and decent restaurants.
We are staying at a place in the old town, really looking forward to it

Eh, not really. It's a public holiday today so only having one person walking by was a decent result. I'm consoling myself with a beer at Vitamin B craft beer bar

Decided to get the train to Plovdiv tomorrow, may be a bit slower but at 44 Leva (19GBP) for two people round trip it's a pretty good price. Got in to Sofia yesterday but didn't do much due to jetlag but feeling good today. Took a few photos of Alexander Nevski cathedral this morning (they don't allow photos inside).

I'm in Paris but at CDG airport and T1 is significantly less annoying that T2. Maybe the problem lies more with Air France
