    Junior Teams Fans Travelling Arrangements

    I hire a bus

    ( 1920 St Rochs Supporters Club ) which is independent of the football club and we have members who pay there dues every week to ensure we can afford to pay for the buses throughout the season .

    The club have also helped us out with costs and the players also donated to pay for one of the away games last season and when that happens i hire a bigger bus and non members travel for free

     

    We also have a lot of fans who drive down and or use public transport

    On Wednesday night a good few came by train

     

    I'm interested to know most junior teams fans travelling arrangements. I was at the Dalry v S Rochs game and St Rochs had a good support with them. Beith game at Newlandsfield v Pollok had a good support.

    I know Pollok are looking to arrange a fans coach for their long distance Scottish cup tie.

    The game yesterday Maryhill at home to Shettleston, most Shettleston supporters I suppose would make their own way as its not far.

    Who arranges transport. Do fans make their own way or do any junior teams put a bus on for Fans. ?

    It's not the start we wanted but hopefully we can turn it around and if we don't it won't be for the lack of trying .
    Nice talking to the Arthurlie lads before and during the game good junior people who enjoy there football .

    Another important win for Arthurlie today and another brace for Doc. A very difficult venue to pick up points and surely the Candy will start winning soon.  To be fair they will need to, 1 point from 6 games is relegation form. Hope they turn it round soon , its a great place for a game of football.

    Dalry away on Wednesday

     

    And as much as I'm loathe to moan about fixtures as Kennie does such a great job it's a c**t of a place to send us midweek with a 6.45 kick off. .

     

    Surely midweek league games if possible should be more local as fans will struggle to attend that match due to time restraints like work

     

    We have a bus going which has already been downsized due to members working and with us not being able to leave with time to spare it's more than likely due to being stuck in rush hour traffic we will miss the start of the game .

     

    That is not good for either the game or the punters who are the lifeblood of the game

    Same m8 always a pleasure to catch up
    Good game today played in the correct spirit .
    One thing I noticed today was how fit your lads are Mick must be working them like dogs lol
    Hopefully the lad who got carried off is not too badly injured but he left early and his arm or shoulder looked fucked

    Good to speak to you again today Chris, catch you doon the brae later in the season.

    Darvel Juniors 2019/2020

    I don't were this nonsense comes from tbh
    Have you actually met and spoke with DL ?
    Spoke for a bit with him today before kick off and he is certainly under no illusions on how hard it will be for Darvel to get promoted .
    He speaks honestly and passonionatly about his club and certainly is no big time Charlie .
    Even at full time and obviously disappointed he seeked me out to shake hands and wish us well so based on meeting and speaking with him there is some amount of nonsense written about him on here .

    The added pressure from Darvel Legend is not needed. The guys predicting match day squads, Leagues, Cups, Best dressing rooms....The only thing you are doing is putting a big target on Darvels back when things don’t go to plan.

    Sure you’ve got a good team who will are still gelling, A good manager who will be successful, A hard working committee who want to improve the club. But what they have in you DL is a man who clearly gives them added pressure, A negative arrogance that could be prevented.

    Have faith in your team but don’t plant potatoes and wants chips tomorrow.

    You’ll learn the hard way in that league.

    Darvel Juniors 2019/2020

    Thought we done enough to get a point today m8 but it was squeaky bum time at the end lol
    Was good meeting up with you lads again today proper junior people .
    Excellent away support down today Darvel are definitely a club on the up .
    Good luck for the rest of the season and I look forward to seeing ye all again down the brae .

    Deservedly went in 2-1 down at the interval but to give the boys some slack we had 5 out and another 2 injuries first 20 minutes , we are certainly no getting much luck injury wise but second half we were fantastic however  fair play to st rochs who hung on grimly , I knew it wouldn’t be  easy up there and it wasn’t , best of luck to st rochs rest of the season

    Darvel Juniors 2019/2020

    We have been awful so far in the league but I really am expecting a reaction from the team on Saturday but the harsh reality is I don't think any of our players would get a start for Darvel and at 5/1 the bookies are seldom wrong m8

    dont know what to expect at st rochs this saturday as they are a whole lot better than their results suggest , be another really tough game as they all are away from home but we look forward to it and hopefully can tighten up at the back as when we go forward we look a really good team and some of the football we play is a joy to watch
