Yeah. Sadly we don't have the midfield to get away with playing a four there. And 3-5-2 is absolute murder.

You're 100% correct, though, and that's become apparent for us in the space of a couple of games.

I would take an Erwin/ Brophy front 2 in a shot for Killie, both intelligent players. Erwin gets a sore time but with the correct coaching there is a player there.

Yes, your extended stay in the diddy league did coincide with the AIDS pandemic as a matter of fact.  However, I'm not sure the two events were related , youse just happened to be quite shit.  Nowadays you manage that while staying in the top league though, so kudos to Killie, some solid progress.

Only asked a question, you seem a bit touchy. You would think you would be happy with your unusual lofty heights this season, your wage cuts and signing policies of spending money.

What I will say is that Celtic have had to field a very weakened team in their last two fixtures. St Mirren and Kilmarnock can play full strength sides next month v Motherwell and Hamilton. They should have said we cannot fulfil the fixtures and taken their token fine..

I am fairly certain there will be no responses on the above....incoming....

Get over it clown, shoe on the other foot and you would welcome the decision of 3-0 forfeits.

Whitehall is a very average player, but unlike Brophy or Kabamba it looks like he has a knack of making our other players play better when he's in the team. Right now as we don't have proper goal scoring striker, he's the best option we have.

I don’t ever like singling out players and would like to take this positive , I’ll be hoping for the best.

Their game was postponed after the Scottish Government intervened after one of their players acted like a complete dick. As much as I love to stick the boot into them, the club itself didn’t breach any covid protocols during that period (that we are aware of).

The situations simply cannot be treated the same way for them to receive the same punishment St Mirren and Killie did unless they have a game postponed.

If you want to make the case for a comparable punishment to be dished out, such as a points deduction, then I certainly won’t object. I’m simply saying the situations are different.

    Another old filth love in

While I entirely agree that Celtic have acted inappropriately and deserve to be investigated, I don’t think you can compare the situation unless Celtic’s actions result in a postponement.

St Mirren and Kilmarnock have not been deducted points, they’ve forfeited the right to compete for those points due to the matches being postponed.

The only way Celtic will suffer a comparable sanction is if their game tomorrow is postponed due to coronavirus.

Ahh, Rangers/Celtic same team different colours.

Of course they won’t. It should mean our and Killie’s appeal is successful though. It’s either that or punish them proportionately and we all know there’s no chance of that happening. Celtic are much too big a club to get a sanction like the one given to us.

They haven’t a chance of winning the league so this might be the year of a token gesture punishment.

Conor Sammon was a very poor footballer and was still a great player for us who we ended up getting a big fee for.

Eremenko had a knack of making shite players look good, unfortunately Whitehall doesn’t have Eremenko. Not picking on the guy but I just can’t see a player there and remember he has been there for months and hasn’t had a look in.

You must have been watching a different game from me. Whitehall is objectively a very poor footballer, but he does exactly what we need from a striker in terms of constantly holding the ball up, playing on the shoulder and being a decent threat in the air. He is like a big vacuum that draws defenders towards him and leaves space for the likes of Kiltie, Burke and McKenzie. I think we have been a million miles better since he came into the team.

“Very poor footballer “ mmm, that bodes well. Watched the same game and was very pleased with the team performance but I’m sorry all I see with Whitehall is a lower level player, hopefully proved wrong and time will tell.

Vital three points today for the stripes. While we should have held on (pun intended with the goalkeeping error last week) for the win against St. Mirren this was a must-win game. Kiltie was the standout by a mile, played well and took his goals brilliantly. I'm still not convinced by Whitehall as a striker, we don't have a lot of quality up top. Mulumbu was also excellent and it was nice to see us make what's probably a record 4 (four!) subs under Dyer's reign. We'll be doing well if we can get anything off Hibs next weekend.

If we are relying on Whitehall for the rest of the season I’m afraid I’m worried. He was like a man down and a decent striker would have worked the Accies defence.

I think one of the soundest pieces of business St. Mirren could do would be to add a reputable attacking coach.

We don't have one and someone who is well drilled in attacking movement, link up play and attacking set pieces would be as good as a new signing. We definitely have enough talent there in an attacking sense with Obika, McGrath, Durmus, McAllister and Brophy coming in but we still seem very disjointed going forward at times.

A coach who could implement some ideas and dedicated attacking drills would be a good addition.

Another day and different finances definitely, if we could have kept Kris Boyd ( not the *** one)  in some capacity what a difference it would have made, at the moment we have very few coaching staff

Weirdly, 'I ran' is something he rarely says after a match.

Hmm. There are reservations (possibly just my own) about the ability of our coaching staff to get the best out of forward players.

I would imagine he’ll have a better chance at you guys, if he wants to learn by all accounts rather huffy. As I said I think there is a player there but gets to a stage the player has to do his bit.

  13. Brophy is a player who is crying out to be coached, makes poor choices in games and his head goes down very quickly but in saying that I think there is a player there. By all accounts fell out with one of the management team which could be a reason for lack of game time. Great memories of his goals against the hvns but can’t say I’m overly bothered about him leaving more bothered about my own teams lack of forward planning.

Hopefully the appeal goes our way, because we will be guaranteed another 3 points with the rearranged fixture.

Never in all my years watching Killie have we been guaranteed any points, when we think that we always fall on our face, remember that Welsh mob.

Please let me have my moment
