Hilarious amount of Hibees greeting about the late throw in on Twitter. If I were them, I simply wouldn’t have let County move halfway up the pitch, put a terrible cross in and let the ball trundle over the line with seconds to go. However, that’s just me.

I’m happier to see Randall return to the squad than I am to see anybody else. Hopefully we will finally have a bit of niggle in the centre of the park again.

I thought yesterday was the second black mark against Don Cowie’s name. The first one coming against St Mirren, where I reckon he lost us the game by setting us up the way we did second half and almost waiting for them to score. The exact same thing happened yesterday and whilst I’m not gunning for him, he certainly has to take a lot of the blame.

Warning: Heads Gone Incoming… It was quite obvious we set up to take a point from the game. Wickens made a great save in the first half, but other than that nothing really occurred and Cowie was probably quite happy. It was therefore mortifying to see Wickens gift Hibs a goal in the fashion he did. At that point, the team looked genuinely confused at whether or not to take the reins and have a go or continue what we were doing. This left our defence at sea (far more than usual). Reid was just leaving Boyle completely to run free at Leak who was 5 minutes away from being sent off. James Brown looks a shadow of the player he was at the start of the season. Efete is just not cut out for the league. Today was also the day I finally lost my patience with Jordan White. I’m sick fed of up of going to bat by saying he works hard and wins flick ons. If I wanted a striker who can do that I’d just go and get a Ross Maciver or Matty Aitken. Christ, they’ve probably got the same technical ability as White so may as well have a crack. I mentioned last week about how Brophy was excellent against Livi. That was a flash in the pan. He still looks incredibly unfit. Loturi was as busy as ever but slows the game down by taking 6 touches every time he receives it. I actually thought Sheaf was okay and looks like he’s improving. King was anonymous. Khela showed glimpses when he came on and I’d start him in the reverse. To be quite honest, you could pick any of them out and label them not good enough but we’ve been doing that all season; so what’s the point? Today is the day that I’ve accepted we will be finishing 11th position at max as I can’t see us amassing by anymore than 10 points between now and the end of the season. It’s brutal, but we just have to prepare for the playoffs now, in my opinion. FWIW, and this is no sour grapes at all as I generally have a bit of a soft spot, but I was surprised at how ordinary Hibs were. Very predictable. Yet we let them put 2 past us and dominate the game with relative ease.

These Friday Championship games never fail to make you laugh. Just utter nonsense week in, week out.

That Buckie - Brechin game on the 27th should be an absolute corker.

I can’t get my head around Ayina’s defending for the equaliser. He has to be far longer with his initial clearance, and then I have no reason as to why he would hesitate to just clear his lines when the balls rolling towards his own goal. Woeful defending.

I thought we were pretty muck there tonight. Could see that Saints goal coming all second half. Take the point and run, though, because St Mirren are a far better side than us. I didn’t think they were great tonight and they still battered us for the last half hour.

I saw him absolutely pissed out his farter in Johnny Foxes just a few weeks back there. Good man, I say.

I believe I owe Eamonn Brophy an apology. I slated him for his lack of motivation to get fit over Adams’ tenure. He was exceptional in the first half on Saturday and if we play that front 3 going forward towards the end of the season, we will score goals.

What a win that is for The Lilywhites. Brilliant.

I see the newly formed Supporters Club are offering £5 tickets for the away bus to Hibs. Whilst I encourage anybody trying to get bums on seats, I feel for the Black Isle Supporters Club who have supported the club by putting on hundreds of buses over the years - often with little-to-no help in terms of advertising from the club. I don’t understand why the two couldn’t have worked in tandem with each other?

IIRC, we have a pretty decent record in this type of game over the past couple seasons. By this type of game, I mean relegation 6 pointers. Good results against United last season when it was needed, beating Hamilton at home to send them down when we could’ve gone bottom, winning on the last day when needed away at Motherwell. I know you can’t really look at these games as dependents because the squad has changed 10 fold since then, but it gives me cause for optimism. I’d expect us to line up like this: Wickens Brown-Efete-Leak-Ayina-Reid Sheaf-Loturi-King Murray-Brophy I don’t like the team at all, but Don’s playing the cards he’s been dealt. Murray and Brophy would cause problems for any defence in the league, and I’d be disappointed if one of them doesn’t get on the scoresheet today. The midfield is what worries me as per; it’s so lightweight. I actually thought King was okay in his few appearances thus far, so him coming back would be a bonus. I think there’ll be goals in the game today; going to stick my neck on the line and say 3-2 County.

Hearing some murmurs that Dhanda is not fit for tomorrow. Whilst it would be a blow, I feel like will need a highly combative midfield and him not playing maybe isn’t the end of the world.

Was good to see Snakebite play well again last night. He has been churning out results in PC1-4 and he has not been changing his darts every leg. Coincidence? I think not.
