Just listened to the McGlynn interview from the Rock sport podcast. Really impressed with it and good to hear the only job he would have left his job at Celtic for was Raith. Also seems really confident of getting 2 or 3 more signings in before Friday which is bound to help. However my one concern is from the comment, as soon as the job came up he threw his CV in. If that was the case and as much as I’m all for giving the cat the chance, why did it take the board 3 weeks to make the appointment? As soon as his CV was through he should have been in the door. Our current situation could have been so much better and he wouldn’t have been scrambling around with a few days of the transfer window trying to wheel and deal to get a few players over the line.

You can say that about everyone we’ve signed tho, Nisbet clearly wasn’t great last season neither was Gillespie but prob our 2 best players this year so far.

If Davo done us all a favour and just announced his retirement then his wage could be better spent elsewhere

Am I right in saying a trialing can be selected in the match day squad in league 1? If so I’m surprised Gary Irvine hasn’t need brought in on trial to at least have a look at him and add an extra player to the squad. Screaming out for a RB and last I heard he was screaming out for a club.

Yea I agree, if the budget only allows us to bring in 1 more player then it has to be a LB. Get Murray back into CB with Bene and get Davo back on the bench.

Back to the discussion on the LB/CB situation, if the LB is to be McHattie once he gets back to fitness. I know he had his critics last year and rightly so, however I still believe dropping down a division he may actually do quite well. With McHattie being a recognised LB this would allow Murray to partner Bene in the CB position. Going by Murray's performance against United on sat I think he handled himself really well and believe he would be more effective at CB (which would also get Davo out of there ++++)

Yeah completely agree. it is one thing giving a player or a referee a hard time if they are having a bad game etc but there is absolutely no excuse to target someone because of a disability or race. No place in the game for these types of fans IMO.
