No but he can play all across the front, would probably learn a load off Moff and could be a potential diamond in the roughYes but not as our main striker1 -
Are up you 6ft plus and can hold a ball up if so stand by the phone we might need you lolI’m naturally left footed. I’ve never asked for a game with Ayr United though.0 -
McGinty will start as he's naturally left footed

I'm actually surprised McCall has not been sniffing around Murdoch, hopefully he can find his pre injury form again this seasonMurdoch won't start, might even be away by the end of transfer window, Moffat and McKenzie I wouldn't think will start either, 2 strikers, 2 attacking mids possibly who can play wide another centre mid plus back up keeper, what mix of signings, loans (Burnley) I don't know ,however I think one striker will be our signing and will be our main outlay.

McAdams has changed his banner on twitter to a photo of him and Steven Kelly so that's us guaranteed to bringing the wee man back in.

I'm happy at that

Any one know if the story about Ayr scouting both Andy Robertson and Gordon Pope and choosing Pope as the better prospect is true or is just urban legend

I think you hit the nail on the head a bit there with Hopkin, I think he wants to be a manager but does not need to be one, do the players all love him as he is one of the boys and he can tell them stories of Chelsea days and playoff final winners, only time will tell but this will be his last chance to make it as a manager if he fails with us he won't get another gig.The truth -- for us, as much as for Ayr -- is that two exceptional signings can completely change the way a squad looks. I have to say that, although I'd have taken Todorov, I don't think he falls into that category. And you would be settling down to watching a long, long season of McGinty knocking it long to him (that'll probably happen anyway, even if your centre-forward is 5' 6"). If Moffat is going to play, surely he's better with quick, mobile players running off him?
I think you guys are reacting to the -- admittedly sair -- fact that Dunfermline have taken him as a squad option, whereas he would have been the main man at Ayr. This is going to happen to Ayr, Morton, QoS all summer; get used to it.
The thing that would really worry me about Hopkin is -- and this is just a hunch on my part, nothing itk -- that he gives the distinct impression of not being totally committed to this football manager thing. Everything fell into place for him at Livingston, but at Bradford and us, when it got really gnarly, I saw a guy who thought 'I don't need this' (he is reputed to be fairly wealthy).
It might turn (see 'two great signings', above), but I'll be surprised if he lasts the season... Enter the Duff...

I'm not that fussed about Toderov he's had one purple patch at the end of last season apart from that he's been pretty bang average, if we are paying a grand a week for a striker hopefully we can get someone better.

I'm beginning to hope any striker we get in now is an unknown and we can at least live in hope for a few weeks we have found a diamond in the rough, the thought of a striker who's been round half the clubs in the championship and averages about 5 goals a season gives me the fear.

The difference is McCall could talk a player up until you believed that he was a superstar and let's remember for every Shankland there was a Kris Doolan both Kerr and Hopkin are more door character's and don't translate as well in camera would I like a bit more information to excite me for the coming season yes but if there is nothing to say it's a bit of a waste of time a half hour sit down interview.

This, get that it brings in a lot of money to the club but the majority of folks nowadays don't work Monday to Friday and makes no sense to buy a season ticket.Season ticket holders aren't the only fans we have.0 -

Nothing in the VOR about recruitment it's all about the Killie game

Difference is Dunfermline v Raith has been a regular game over the last 30 years or so, we have only played Killie in the odd cup game here and there, I think there will be a novelty factor that folk will want to watch.Did the BBC show 4 Dunfermline v Raith games last season? I know they showed one or two but outwith the region I doubt there is heavy interest in an Ayr v Killie game. I think they may televise one each from Somerset and Rugby Park but I don’t think all 4 will be on BBC. Maybe Sky will pick one up if they’re at a loss of things to show0 -
Out of interest did you guys offer him a deal or was he always away at the end of the season. He was always going to be leaving.0 -
When you look at the first weeks fixtures 100% going to be on the telly

First day of pre season tomorrow who's sitting in the car park to see any new faces heading in.

McAdams would make sense played with 2 of the central defenders we have already signed last season, seems a no brainer if he wants to come, if it's not him I'm still holding hope out for Doohan.

I think you might be right, knew it one of the ones from that eraI believe it was Cammy Duncan, not Henry Smith. Unless they both did it?0 -
Aye, not Hendry lolHenry Smith the goalie from around 96?0 -
Obviously not the same but Erickson collapsing at the Euros reminded me about IIRC Hendry Smith swallowing his tongue Infront of the Somerset Rd end
