Agree with this tbh. If we’re not talking finances, resolutions etc. there’s no reason why this shouldn’t be open to all fans. I’m a member, but I don’t feel like there’s any reason why I should have access to updates before season ticket holders or folk who pay per match. Will be people who were at Peterhead and Cove away who this meeting isn’t open to.

    Yep

What about the committee? They seem to be getting off lightly here. They're still officially running the club. Dempster (and the commercial team) are doing all the work the committee used to do and any suggestions / decisions that she makes are signed off by the President & his committee. I also wouldn't blame the guy who has been funding everything since January 2020 when it comes to recruitment. He has made the money available to bring in any player we want ( well, any that want to play full time in league 1) but the committee apparently decided not to go down that route this season with all the weird talk of "consolidation"......plus building the foundations for the future etc (which of course is important)

That still doesn't explain of course why Beuker didn't bring in any strikers in the January window (I'm assuming he was in charge of that) Maybe he's underestimated the standard of the league and thought the loanees would stroll it or he's relied on agents for info on these players. Either way, it's pretty obvious that none of the players brought in are proper strikers.

Fair point. Not being a member I was not aware that the committee actually had any role to play other than nominal. I still see no place for that structure but that is maybe another argument. Perhaps more open communication from anyone within the club could clarify this point. If indeed it was a committee decision and not Dempster/Haughey to go for "consolidation" then all my criticism would be targeted at them. Nonetheless I still stand by my comment that we as a club have suffered from gross mismanagement this season and the sooner a structure of command is established the better.

...unless you believe the daily Mirror!!

His success has not gone unnoticed either, with reports in the last few days claiming Scottish League One team Queen of the South are ready to lure Coyle - who was born in Scotland but picked up one cap for the Republic of Ireland as a player - back to Britain.

Probably got their "Queen's" mixed up.

The issue here is the recruitment. The players are either (1) too similar or (2) not good enough. Far too many loan players as well.

But no point booing and having a go at the players. I heard the usual suspects yesterday - quite sad really. The team don't pick fhemselves. Save your anger for those who are responsible for assembling (or more accurately cobbling together) this team.

And having said all that we are still in driving seat for play offs. 3 points (effectively 4) ahead of Falkirk .  They must be doing some things right.

So let's not chuck the towel in quite yet. If we get Murray or other injured players back soon (a big if I know) a lot can change

Fair point to mention those responsible. I was shocked at the apparent lack of commitment yesterday. It begs the question whether they are being coached (by Beuker) to play that casual style although his comments at the end did not leave any room for interpretation. The main culprits to my mind are Dempster and Haughey who totally screwed up the managerial appointment and inexcusably wasted a recruitment window when we knew we had no fit strikers ( and Bob McHugh ). It seems their policy of youth youth youth preceded any desire to gain promotion. The players are who we have been left with by total mismanagement of the club.

A week's a long time in football is this the Luca Connell who got a double at Dumbarton last week?! Liam Brown not at his best yesterday no idea how he got MoM but you seriously telling me he's a luxury you'd dispense with?

No, but we do need someone of more experience to organise and direct them. I would not judge any player on one or two specific games but over a season. In my opinion we have not had value for money from these two over this season. Your suggestion of Canice Carroll is one who was in my thoughts when I posted earlier.

Our inability to have players run in behind and play balls into the space kills us imo. Everything is in front of the opposition defence and it’s so easy to read. So predictable. We very very rarely have runners in behind from midfield or up top. The only one to do it yesterday was Charlie Fox on one occasion ffs. Hard when they sit deep but there’s plenty of opportunities wasted. East Fife had an extremely high back line a few weeks ago and we hardly made an attempt to play a ball into space with runners. Defenders don’t like running toward their own goal!

This idea of “total football” is grand but we need to find more ways to win football matches.

I honestly think we’re worse than before Ellis departed. We’re lucky Falkirk are poor.

Thanks for that Darcy. Feckin screamer.

Spot on. I see no improvement from Ellis era. Brown and Connell are becoming luxuries. We need an experienced hard grafting midfielder. Dare I say Scott Brown type. Maybe doughnuts and Irn Bru will toughen them up!

Prepared to forgive all, if it is him. Starting to look like the only plausible explanation for the nothingness.

As you say that would excuse the lack of communication re the coach appointment and possibly some of the January recruitment debacle but we could and should have been better informed about the construction of Lesser and more recently the pitch decision.
