  1. My fatalist problems apart, ye have to then remember why AJ got the job in the first place, post Gus. Work with no money and make it happen. Ok was the seaside league, but he does seem to get the best out of a team when his resources are limited. Fair play.
  2. In a little more than 24 hours ineptitude and failings on the field will be back in focus. The disgrace and disgust generated by this episode will not dim. I am so enraged by the egocentric disregard and disconnect, would quit my mercenary business life and head home to start a new club called Queen of the South Wanderers.
  3. I feel Plamy Cammy's pain. 1969 was my first game a Palmerston. 2020 may have been my last. Little did I know that the comment about plucky amateurs would be as close to the bone. And as for my comment about being hyper critical of the board. Ye made yer bed. And at a time when poverty is pleaded. No mark pro's worse than part timers and ensconced at the bottom of the league is bad enough. But top of the league in the bad decision category. Pixies did a song called 'Where is my mind'. Time to replace Queens of the South' as the run out song.
  4. Definition. Is being on the border not in the region of the border? Someone tell me he is in Hawick and verdict can be pronounced. Ah ken ma ain back yaird.
  5. Dumfries and Galloway isn't The Borders. It's not even up for debate. So you don't cross a border driving from Langholm to Penton and Carlisle?
  6. Yes he can. Order order we are the border. D&G is on the border. It is, he is, he came, he watched. We vomited. Hopefully this is all a ruse and he was really blagging an invite to watch his hometown team in his adopted home.
  7. Really unfortunate timing that Mr H registered FIRST TACTICAL PROJECTS LIMITED in August. Employ the tactical experts to get us out off this mess please. AJ was a hedged bet two years too early. Mr Galloway does not compute. Unless it is part of a plan to ensure significant funds can be realised. IMHO this will not end well and compound a really bad situation. My view is that we are in reactionary cost management syndrome, thrashing around without a strategic or tactical plan. Putting it up to be shot down. Let us have the debate. The club has limited credibility in the local area. My interpretation is that the Celtic, Rangers and yes, even Carlisle fans from D&G think it is a 'wee' club with no ambition and gan nowhere. To quote a fellow supporter the cup final will be 'as good as it ever gets for us'. Anybody that operates on a business platform has a plan. One year, five year, ten year. GN had target point acquisitions for example. Do I know there is no PIP, evidential. Were the kids in place for AJ first time round? Yes. Are they now? Don't know. Are we the next Cowdenbeath? Who knows. Will QOS survive financially? Probably. Will they ever achieve more than lower mediocrity again? I find i seriously frustrating that the answer is probably not. Ever decreasing circles. On the plus side, as a hired Nomad, I have to travel again and leave the dross on the field behind. If nothing changes, you have my complete empathy and sympathy.
  8. More than a new manager needed. And not trying to be hyper critical of board members. But from top to bottom, a re-evaluation needed. Belief, investment and more importantly credibility. Where is the five year plan? Where is any plan? If the club is being operated on a sustainable business platform then any business must have a plan. Or face going backwards. The club should have a PIP (performance improvement plan). What we have is the plucky amateur approach of it will be ok one day . Which is disappointing. Oh and going backwards.
  9. It is sad. Mr H has so many other business and new start interests, does ask question about focus. Who am I to know. Other than to say my view is a return to the 1980's beckon.
  10. One more goal, certainly sir. AJ is in the entertainment industry. Anything to please. Over to AJ to do f**k all and reduce local interest from the local community as Queen of the Sh**e live on. On the positive side........no there isn't one.
  11. Groundhog day. Both chairmen, sorry chair persons names began with an H. For Honkin.
  12. No shots, no clue. One league win in a calendar year. Straw poll, how do we think this will end? Dundee win or QOS win. Am putting my house and my kids houses on this one!
  13. Comment accepted. The idea that Queens would finish second bottom!! We have a second choice goalkeeper, left back and striker signed, why would i even consider this after the roaring success of the last two year. Trends!
  14. Was just looking at the league table., Not that I am underwhelmed or worried about signings of course. But I would take this. HOME AWAY POS. 15. The current squad is a master stroke. Seven players needed on a field. Keep the management team furloughed, hope to have every game abandoned due to lack of players, make a claim to split the points for every game because we have Stephen Dobbie who would have scored a hattrick at least anyway if we had a team and we could just survive!! There is light at the end of the tunnel.
  16. I believe a contract was offered, but he declined, so left by mutual agreement. Who knows what the BOD decision will be post season. But if it happens, another year of GN in the seaside league may be the straw.
  17. Unfortunately a resignation won't happen. Said it before, no understanding of limitations. And wouldn't hold out for the sack. What happened to the last guy that took us down?
  18. As an inspiring leader, been wondering what GN says in his team talks. This is the conversation I have in my mind between him and the players. Not that I am becoming increasingly cynical you understand. GN 'Alan sit tight on the line. Daza Dicey sit deep. Marsh, Merce sit in. Ky, Doylie, Wils, Andy sit tight. Lyndon, sit in the hole. Dobs, sit anywhere. Won't make much difference. Jack, Conor, Grathy, Guiry, sit doon.' Team' What you doin gaffer' GN' Am sittin on ma hands until its too late'.
  19. It wasn't as good as legend says. Being a nomad and watching local footie, I remember being at a game where he fielded 8 defenders against a (then) second division team in the cup. Lost 1-0 thanks to an 85th minute goal!!! Sound familiar?!
