Certainly were in financial difficulty but the liquidation was a few seasons after that. Think Austin McCann got sent off and a penalty in first minute. I was there but too lazy to walk

Apologies it was Administration, just googled it and knew it was one of the 2 before that game got played.

Nope, don’t agree sorry. A ban is necessary if we want to set an example here. How many more times are our support going to get vilified in the press due to the actions of one or two individuals?

You get the Olaf Thom’s of this world thinking it’s no big deal.

If, and it’s extremely unlikely, the person contacts the club before he’s caught and shows genuine remorse, then perhaps a ban for the remainder of the season could suffice….

The thing with that is in the past what was acceptable or accepted isn't any longer, we all came out with sick jokes or done or said things when we were younger that we regret later in life as we got older but think back and say to ourselves why did I think that was funny it isn't,  or life has shown you a hand that echoes one of those jokes.

In this day and age and having had mental health issues myself, when you are in a good place in your mind and something or someone does something that messes that up it sets you back.  For what Ricey has been through with the club as a player and part of the coaching staff in the past he doesn't deserve that it's not like he has ever behaved like Higgy towards us.

I doubt anyone will come forward, but if the culprit is caught I do think they should make a face-to-face apology and ask for forgiveness from Ricey as a gesture of showing some remorse.

The only issue with Oliver was the lack of goals during his initial run as the no.9. That was the only criticism you could have around his game, but recently the goals have been coming and he deserves to be that starting striker.

He said when he signed he wasnt an out and out goalscorer though you cant hold that against him but the goals he has scored have been crucial.

On another note how good is it when we score or win seeing Henderson celebrate, you can see how much it means to him Kelty one was epic with his celebrations

The only one I'm on the fence with is Gary Oliver just because I reckon we could have got better quality in than him but lately he's been a lot better.

I think Oliver is a bit underrated by us, we don't look at the graft he puts in to bring others into play you only had to look at Alloa to see that, everyone said start Burrell and look what happened I think if we had the same line up as Kelty we could have got the 3 points but then your going down the whole if my auntie had baws argument.

for the first time in who knows how long we have a team, I would say there's none of them I would want to let go when the season ends.

I will say one thing though for me Player of the year would have to be McCann as it stands

That’s such an import insight into things, figuring out WHY things p***k you, trigger you, annoy you, frustrate you, etc. Those that haven’t worked that out are the people that fall into these deep depressive holes, just knowing what and why can help, you avoid, if not all, the worst.

Posted a few pages back things that help and work it out and adding to them

having a sense of purpose in life

it's not the fact you want to die, it's something inside you want to die

    exercise definitely helps (hillwalking especially)

find that inner child again just remembering what it was like to enjoy stuff and just have a laugh end of the day lifes too serious

Journalling and looking over what you've just written on how your feeling and same as a counsellor, gets things out there to analyse or identify as you say.

On the one on friend taking his life was more knowing that inner battle and have had that same discussion in the head

This is the thing about counseling that so many don’t understand/misunderstand. A good counselor doesn’t tell you how to fix things, instead they guide you through a journey to explore issues and determine solutions. The counselor may provide some tools (the talking pillow is an excellent example), but they are not like a doctor who sees you, examines you, and prescribes some medication. The great thing about the exploration is that it generates questions you have to answer yourself, and it’s that questioning that helps develop solutions going forward. A single question by a counselor I visited about a year ago has resulted in a massive change, because I was ignoring the matter, and when asked about it I simply couldn’t justify my behavior…other than as a literally self-harming refusal to see reality.

Totally agree with that I have been to 5 different counsellors and the best one I went to was at a veterans garden, helped me so much and I would say I am 90 per cent back to the old me I had a blip about a month back on account to a friend taking his life, found that journalling is also a big help in getting it out how your feeling what's affecting etc and reading it back to discover how and why that's affecting me.

As we all know, we hold the Bigot Brothers’ fans in disdain for jumping on buses to Glasgow to spew their hatred and to see their respective clubs hoover up nearly all the trophies going in Scotland, i.e. they are glory hunters.

Playing devil’s advocate here, maybe Stenny fans view our fans who live in Stenhousemuir / Larbert / Carron and go to watch Falkirk as glory hunters (please, don’t laugh). And as an extension of this, they have now come to hate all things Falkirk?

Or it could be they are just a*seholes, Just putting it out there .. lol

Still a bit disappointed with last nights result and overall performance. That said last season I’d have been happy with a draw but now I’m not, that shows to me how far we have come in a short space of time.

Looking forward to Darvel now and a wee break from league duty!

I get you, last night felt like a defeat more than a draw, refereeing has been shocking and as for injury time the last few games its almost like they aren't blowing the final whistle till its a draw see Montrose, Kelty and last night

  9. Another take on the Burrell starting could look at, we know teams are going to try and bully us i.e. Montrose and Kelly and we seem to have learned from that now but still puts in they will try the same tactics but the longer Burrell is on the more chance he has of being marked and injured and agree with the  Oliver as a workhorse to bring others into play and knacker the opposition out and Burrell as impact to kill them off, do you then risk injuring the player and a term on the sideline when his goals have been crucial by playing him from the start or use as an impact sub to kill teams off.  Its a tough call but agree he does deserve to start but at least we have a bit of depth in the squad now.

  10. First 20 mins we started off good then we let ourselves get bullied, Austin with his diving was terrible and how the f*ck higgy stayed on the park I don't know (anyone see him try to head butt mcginn and mcginn do the same back to him.  My own thoughts are with Kelty game plan try to bully the game press the referee for any decision going, ref loses control of the game and frustrate play and decisions. scenes with the 2 goals and reaction of the team. running over to celebrate with the fans absolutely amazing got to be going back to the play off games for a buzz like that with the team.

The reality was that there was animosity before last December.
However for the good of the club the protagonists involved clearly have a relationship that is now working for the good of the club.
It seems like others now on the outside are a little sore. It is almost as if they want the fans to fail in running the club so they - whoever they are - can get back in the door.

That's been pretty obvious every now and again you see the posts whenever someone has a bit of ITK info folk have a moan at leaks in fact they point out any mistake given by the new regime and in all honesty the new regime has got more right than they have wrong so the contrast is pretty much night and day.  Obviously someone upset at losing their boardroom hospitality because one of their mates was part of the old guard.

What are the chances of us being picked for the telly? Viaplay have the first two picks so they’ll presumably take the OF. Then BBC have to pick two other matches.

Ross spoke about that on Falkirk daft i think given Darvel have just done a giant killing act its going to be a given they will be given a TV game as folk will be wondering if they can cause another upset.
