  1. 7th June is slightly late considering the season begins late July. Craigroyston and Dunbar with late entries + possibly Vale of Leithen would leave an odd number of teams.
  2. Any further information on the make up of the two parallel leagues?
  3. Really struggling to understand this, going into the last few games of the season most teams in a league have something to play for and are meaningful, surely that creates interest therefore attendances may not dwindle.
  4. A lot of rumours floating around so impossible to tell unless someone knows the applicants for certain, Hill of Beath, Dundonald, Crossgates, Haddington and Easthouses have all announced nothing so far and the amateurs names mentioned seem to be guesses unless I am missing something? I had heard that St Andrews have definitely applied.
  5. Hearing that EOS Board/Committee have definitely said there will be no tier 7 for next season, both leagues will run parallel at tier 6. Looks like regional, seeded or perhaps a pre qualifying group cup as suggested.
  6. There are 3 options 1. Two regional leagues of 14 and the top 7 from each league form the EOS Premier for 2019/2020 and bottom 7s from each league form EOS first division. 2. Two leagues of 14 split up seeded on how they have finished this season. 3. The new applicants form a new league underneath the current EOS league forming a tier 7
  7. Ballast Bank is basically a public park, I am not sure how they would be allowed to play out of there. They must be looking at the astro in Dalgety Bay or perhaps fleetgrounds, Rosyth.
  8. If there has indeed been 12 applicants, that will leave 25 teams for next season unless Kelty or LTHV lose the play off (very unlikely), whatever way the leagues are set up, I think both leagues will be very competitive. I've seen Herriot Watt and Preston play this season and I think both looked around Premier / South Division standard, Burntisland I have also seen and I think they would struggle in the south division.
  9. Kelty were always going to hammer teams this season, theres no doubt they have a squad who could compete in the top half of the lowland league. There has been quite a bit disparity in results in the East juniors also, happens all the time at this level. Broxburn 8 Forfar West End 0, Musselburgh 7 Kirriemuir 0, Whitburn 2 Dalkeith 8, Harthill 10 Stoneyburn 1
  10. Kelty wanted to become a senior club, end of, their set up, forward thinking committee, support etc is all set up and geared to move to the SPFL. Not getting anymore than 2 or 3 fixtures and not being allowed to play games under floodlights is really an utter joke, staying junior offered absolutely nothing to them. Clubs like Blackburn and Dalkeith should be applauded for jumping the gun and being progressive, they probably have no chance of ever reaching the SPFL or even LL but they've weighed up the options and want to leave the juniors for their own reasons. If Lithgae and Boness stay junior because they are happy enough then so be it.
  11. Will be interesting to see how many Fife teams have applied to EOS, Hill of Beath are the only ones rumoured.
  12. I don't think the East of Scotland are going to come out on Monday and suddenly just reveal all the teams that have applied unless I am mistaken? It looks like Dalkieith are the only club who have made their intentions official
  13. If Kelty win promotion this season, they have pulled off an absolute master stroke, basically moving from Junior to tier 5 within a season. If they don't, I would imagine if all the rumours are true, the east of Scotland league will become far more competitive next season.
  14. Kind of makes a bit of a mockery of this season and teams now maybe don't know what they are playing for. I feel the SJFA should've looked at the Kelty situation and been far more prepared but heads buried in sand as usual.
  15. If 10 go it will be interesting who the actual 10 are and how the SJFA look at the East as a whole next season. It would leave 50 teams, Super league of 13 Premier league of 13 North 12 South 12
  16. The Charlie Nicholas is as poor an article as you will see, what an utter twat of a man. The young lad has obviously decided Scotland is who he wants to play for, McLeish has quite rightfully sought him out as he has playing at the very highest level and one of the worlds top managers rates him highly. Get behind the lad
