Come On Ye Mo - Montrose FC 2018/19
Cyril replied to A Username With Mo In It's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Really don't know why clubs agree to these silly clauses. -
I'm looking at it from a Kelty perspective, Dalziel has been a brilliant player for them, really prolific, for whatever reason Sheerin didn't show this.
-
From the games I have seen at Kelty, he is simply not as good as Dalziel and Cargill, I would describe him as 1 in 3 type striker in that for every 3 chances he got he missed 2. And Douglas has huge potential so it was the correct decision to offload him as would also command a decent wage.

New clubs in the East of Scotland

Fully aware of that, I just think common sense could've came in, even if LTHV lose a few players they will be far stronger than Hawick. No big deal, it is what it is -

Absolutely brilliant work last night from the East of Scotland league. I feel they have made an error in making Hawick top seed in place of LTHV as Conference B now looks very very strong and A doesn't. -

I wouldn't imagine they would "draw" it It will be done a bit more professionally than that, I actually think the picture which has been circulated looks reasonable and fair, will be a great battle for top 5 places in all 3 leagues. -

There's no way Armadale will apply, take one look at their twitter account, weeks and weeks of meltdowns. -

They've already said its definitely 3 leagues of 13, so that pretty much means every team has been accepted plus 2 who haven't went public, believed to be Sauchie and Oakley -

Very interested to see the make up of the 13 team leagues, thinking it has to be fair, with a bit of flexibility towards travelling and a levelling out of teams with floodlights. Any idea when we will find this out? -
Kelty Hearts lowland league quest
Cyril replied to Kelheart's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Kelty will be top 4, I am pretty sure of it. I watched them a few times last year and I think they will need cover defensively, if anything happens to O'Neil or Carstairs they are short. Maybe a season too far for Conrad and Leighton also. -

Currently still 36 official? -

Think they blew it opening it up until the 31st May, they should've closed the door when they got to 32 teams. Maybe got a bit greedy and were waiting for Linlithgow and Bo'ness. Nobody really wants to be in a 10 / 12 team league. -

If there are more than 36 teams then the two parallel leagues probably wouldn't work -

Major U-turn from Oakley, heard a few of their committee guys slating the teams moving when I was at a game a few weeks ago. -
My mistake, 31 officially accepted for now with several meetings planned over the next few days before the deadline. Anything over 36 gives them a problem.
-
So at the moment, they EOS have 32 teams, if it rises to 36 by Thursday it will be two leagues of 18 and I would imagine 4 out of the 7 clubs "supposedly" having meetings will apply. Anymore than 36 teams will present them with a problem.
-
Does it really have to be pointed out ONCE AGAIN that teams like Blackburn are currently travelling to Kirriemuir which is not any difference.
-
Not sure the point you are trying to make? So what if there are clubs that have applied from the lower leagues? The last two super league champions have decided to move which tells a story in itself.

They don't seem to be included in the new East Junior South League so they must've withdrawn already. -

We can safely say that Dunbar and Craigroyston have been accepted in then.? -
Kelty Hearts lowland league quest
Cyril replied to Kelheart's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
Interesting to see how many new signings Kelty will make, they have a very settled squad and most if not all are capable of playing in the lowland league. I could see 2 or 3 additions max particularly at the back. -
Good signing for Shire, Ross will score goals
-
Its not impossible to grasp, I just don't agree with it
-
If Preston Athletic or Tynecastle suddenly decided they wanted to become junior clubs, they wouldnt be placed into the Super league they would be asked to join the bottom league and work their way up so why should it be different going the other way? I am amazed that Linlithogw, Boness, Broxburn, Newtongrange, Penicuik and the likes haven't made the move but they must have their reasons and that has to be respected.

I believe they were seeding it but also taking into consideration the amount of teams that have floodlights are split between both leagues (which makes sense) and also making sure 1 team didn't have excessive travelling.
