I have worked in the same industry since leaving school at 16. In that time I have spent 1 year in the office. It was a fucking harrowing experience despite being surrounded by like minded people, merely seconded to an office enviroment for a short duration. 9 to 5, 5 days a week in an office is an atrocious existence. Disagree. It depends "when". I left school at 17, straight into an office. Council. So ashtray on desk, pub most lunchtimes and a 3 hour pub lunch on payday. Now, I couldn't work in one, but back then it was pretty damn good.
