  1. Agreed. Think Loy is really good. McFadden is a cliche-filled monotone bore who’s as thick as f**k.
  2. Fucking delicious. GIRFUY Hemming you cretinous little c**t.
  3. Scumarnock fans repeatedly singing a Celtic song like a broken record. Embarrassing.
  4. Sounds about right. There’s only so many games you can give him the benefit of the doubt in certain aspects.
  5. That was utterly fucking grim. The signings he has made and he sticks with the same hopeless lineup of McGinty in defence and Muirhead in midfield. Get Aero into centre half and get McGinty in the fucking bucket. We persevere with him at the back and we’ve no chance of beating the drop. When he puts Bryden on, who has shown next to nothing YET (he’s not had much game time or service) ahead of Tomi, it tells you all you need to know about that situation. Ever since Tomi had that shouting match with the fans in Dumfries, he’s taken the huff and not kicked a ball. Mark McKenzie gives his all and I love that. He will chase everything and work his arse off, but he’s never a footballer at this level. I think everyone is really willing LB to do well, but there’s really been nothing to give any hope whatsoever over the piece since he’s arrived. Hopefully he will take the deadwood out and his new signings can breathe a bit of life into us and drag us over the line. Our lack of goals is a serious worry now, we are so defensive until we go behind. Every game. Agree with a few others that we need to put 2 up top. It’s not working with 1 AT ALL. One positive is that Ashford looks a great signing from what he’s shown so far.
  6. That was one of the most excruciating games I have ever watched. Defensively we were never troubled but going forward, jesus christ we were bloody awful. Last season it actually scared me how blunt we look without Moffat. He’s in his 30’s now and his position and role is very hard to play 90 minutes every week. There’s just no player in the team that offers what he does in that final third with his link up play, passing and movement. And although that was a two bob cup game, it just reinforces it. We look to have an excellent player in almost every position but the problem is if any position has an injury, the replacement looks nowhere near as good. Possibly only right back with Geggan/Smith and centre half with Bell for either Rose/Adams but other than that any injury to our first choice 11 would weaken us. That’s where we are but it’s definitely worrying and shows we don’t have strength in depth. We’ve got cover for all positions now but that’s all it is.
  7. Belladrum was 2-4 so it’s passed. I have searched for music and events in Inverness on Aug 11 and I just can’t find anything at all. Is it really just a case that 3 Premier Inns in Inverness are fully booked because it’s a Saturday in August and it’s simply tourists? If so that’s damn impressive for the city....
  8. Is there a festival on in Inverness on Saturday? Reading on an Ayr page someone going on about all the hotels being booked out for a festival. Although when I search I can’t find anything listed for Inverness on 11th August....
  9. I’d tell Dundee to go and f**k themselves. I realise £250,000 is a lot of money but Shankland will be the difference between having a great shot at staying up and most likely going back down. I full realise we will do well to keep him past January but honestly it’s not worth selling him for less than £500,000 (I don’t mean he’s worth that, I just mean that when he’s as important to us as he is, better off keeping him than selling him).
  10. The Albion keeper did get absolute dogs abuse. The amount of times that “fat c***” was shouted at him was staggering. Saying it once in the heat of the moment if something significant happens then I’m sure most people can turn a blind eye but I can understand other people getting upset at the same fans shouting it over and over when there are kids with them. Just no need.
  11. So what was the fighting about between our own fans on Saturday then? Why does no one want to say?
  12. The midfielders and forwards who have signed are excellent news. But let’s not be kidded here, unless we add a minimum of 3 defenders of real quality, including a right back and left back, we are going to be in big trouble at the back next season. Last season we so often relied on outscoring teams to paper over the cracks and get away with it.... that’s not going to work this season.
  13. I thought Cairney was very good at times last season. Problem is that he didn’t do it often enough but no doubt he was the one who looked most likely to make something happen on occasion.
  14. I’m genuinely not bothered either way. Probably slightly prefer Alloa but out of the 4 teams in the PO’s I just wanted Raith not to win so I’m content enough.
  15. Mixed feelings. Don’t like Utd but would rather not have them in the Championship. Although it matters not the result from that semi final as neither will get past Partick.
  16. Am I the only one who thinks that Doc’s challenge was brilliant, takes the ball and was never a red card? Remember being incensed at the time at the game.
  17. Seen them mention their new plastic pitch for next season. That’d be the biggest nightmare for me if Ayr went down that road. I hate them so much and don’t think they have any place in professional football. Horrible stuff.
  18. Staying up next season should be the only priority for us. That would provide a solid foundation to build on and slowly establish us as a Championship team which in turn would let us gradually increase the quality of the squad as we go. Of course don’t fear teams but we need to be sensible and plan right now. It was the massive lack of squad quality that done us last time and we need to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
  19. Yeah it is a better away day. I’m personally just thinking that Livvy is a bit closer so would favour that since Ross County and ICT will be brutal long journeys as it is. Plus Livvy should be easier to get a result against you would think although not so sure after this season...
  20. Who would yous rather stayed in the Championship? Livingston or Dundee Utd? Advantage Livingston right now....
  21. It’s not heartless, it’s spot on. We need 6-10 players to have any kind of chance at survival and that’s just fact. I love this squad to bits for what they’ve achieved but as hard as it is, you can’t let sentiment cloud your objectives. That doesn’t mean however I want every one of them gone, we need to keep some kind of continuity and build from there. I think that often the step from League 1 to Championship can be underestimated. It’s colossal.
