  1. Trust it to be us in this situation. Could literally just be us. What a farce.
  2. It meant he couldn’t change the squad as best as he might have done. Had to keep players who were probably past their sell by dates simply because there was no one better on their wages.
  3. The reason we ended up signing dross like Alex Harris in Houston’s last season was because he was promised extra funds a few months prior to the summer and yet when the summer came his budget was reduced rather than extended. He was just another who was sold down the river by the board without a paddle. As BPM says, if we have Houston the money we gave the two muppets after him we wouldn’t be where we are just now.
  4. Spot on Marsh. That team would (and did) run through brick walls for us.
  5. Actually makes you more depressed than ever about our current state of affairs. Makes you realise just how good we were not that long ago. The fact we didn’t even realise at the time is worse.
  6. He’d be getting the bullet anyway, he’s awful.
  7. There has to be some thought put into this rationally. The season either continues at some point or it’s totally wrote off completely. Bad enough for the likes of us (Falkirk) possibly missing out on a chance of promotion but it must be 10x worse being in a relegation place and being told sorry you aren’t getting a chance of getting yourself out of it. There’s already going to be huge financial setbacks from this period of no games without the added financial pressure of relegation too.
  8. I think the season has to finish, whether the season is extended and pre-season is cut short or we play Saturday - Wednesday for a month or so then so be it. Imagine being stuck in this division through no fault of our own.
  9. One thing is for sure, if we don’t go up M & M won’t be here and the January window will be their failure. I know it’s stating the obvious but it really is that simple.
  10. We conceded the same amount in 54 minutes on Saturday as we had for the full of 2020 against a Clyde team on a poor run of form. Anything is possible.
  11. I wouldn’t pick a back 3 myself, but more thinking along the lines of our managers who seem to not mind using the 3 at the back and especially by Miller’s comments pre-Clyde.
  12. I said yesterday it wouldn’t surprise me if we go with a back 3 on Tuesday.
  13. Is the Stark’s Park pitch Astro? Can’t remember if they changed to AstroTurf or not. Trying to suss if this game will be in doubt over the next 48 hours.
  14. Without getting into the political side of things, If we had signed Goodwillie we’d have pissed this league.
  15. Trying to distract myself from that awful 90 minutes today. When was the last time we scored in stoppage time at the end of both halves in the same game?
  16. I hope I never see McMillan again for a long time. Longridge should have been on earlier, that was a farce.
  17. Another game where we never looked like conceding. Made hard work of that for 60 mins but we had a good few chances to score before we eventually did. Dixon was excellent again. Always said he was one of McKinnon’s best signings last January and was made scapegoat by a few of our fans, although his form did dip a bit.
  18. Stonewall handball from Diakamona at the first hitting of the post. Unfortunately Beaton not the linesman could see it.
  19. I expected a doing before KO and I’ve came away gutted. Hearts created nothing apart from the penalty and the odd chances towards the end when we were pushing for an equaliser. Todd should have scored first half and then obviously the 3 strikes could easily go in on another day. Really need to take confidence from that and use it in the league. Hope some of them players are not regulars for Hearts or they are in serious bother.
  20. Back in our hands really. Win against East Fife and it’s back to a point.
  21. Counter attack needs to be spot on tonight. Hearts through players forward like they are losing and if we can break quickly and effectively we can hurt them. Give them nothing.
  22. Well not really no, because of the state of the pitch anything could have happened. A knock down from a long ball, I’d be confident out of everyone bar McManus Longridge would have had the technique made to shoot from outside the box, he has one of the best crosses in the team we didn’t deliver many wary crosses yesterday which allowed Stranraer to maintain their shape. LL can provide a spark in an instance without having to dribble the ball and take people on.
  23. First time Miller and McCracken got things wrong. At half time yesterday I said they got it spot on by starting McMillan rather than Sammon as everyone could see because of the pitch the ball would be in the air a lot more as you simply could get it down and play on that park. However, why Hall and Longridge didn’t start is baffling. Even then, it seem to take an age for them to make a sub. We simply can’t afford to drop too many more points now. Last year we were relegated with too many draws, this year we could stay down with too many draws.
