Could try to go for a sale with a loan back clause? That way he gets more first team football and time to develop and continue to acclimatise to a more physical brand of football ahead of a step up. If I recall correctly he was only contracted for a year, so pretty inevitable.

What? lol. We literally have a squad of 25 players (-2 on loan), which is the standard squad size for leagues that have teams register a squad before their seasons start. Maybe if he didn't keep on kids that he has no interest in fielding in a critical season?

We're missing players trying to move into space. Might as well run with the ball at these guys, it looks like the best way to make some chances imo

I'm of the "if they're good enough they're old enough" school of thought. If they aren't good enough for the first team then why bring them in? Strength in depth is of limited value if the strength isn't sufficient to win games, and given that It's a short season, time is a luxury that no team can afford if you don't want to be playing in league 1 next season.

Who will proceed to sit on the bench behind last seasons squad making everyone wonder why they were recruited.

Hopefully by the time this game rolls around, Murray will have discovered that the object of the game is to score goals at the opposing team's end and has some did some work on attacking movement.

If we can't beat a Partick team who play that badly, better not get too excited for this season.

Very physical game I thought, don't have any complaints, everyone committed themselves well and I think even McKay has found a niche that works well beyond long throw ins. There's a little spark of being able to beat guys 1 on 1 going forward that still seems to be "almost but not quite", but I suppose it is league 1. 1 down, only 26 to go!
