I think expectations are so low for you guys right now amongst the wider media world that it won't take much for them to be scribbling down the 'redemption' story arc and facts won't get in their way.
I don't think even the most optimistic of County fan can see us as anything but favourites to go down atm. Obviously, hope we stay up but if we do, that is a success

In that interview he said that the side who started the season wouldn't be the same side a few weeks later. It was always planned to sign players late on. A very odd strategy, which has now really come back to bite the club on the arse.
Makes no sense at all. How can you expect to sign players after a season has started? We've missed the window now where English teams would still be on holiday so now there's gonna be more teams after the same players.
It's also not as if we are starting our season massively early. The PL down south starts 2 weeks after us so you'd expect all clubs would be up and running with the squads they want around the same time our season starts. The closer the season gets, the greater the worry

We all went into this summer saying the clubs needs a massive rebuild and we got the start of that when we released all the out of contract players but we have only made 2 permanent signings. We desperately need to sign more players, and not just loanees.

Getting knocked out of a cup without kicking a ball. It's a shame but hopefully all the players/staff affected can fully recover ASAP.

Who is that in the first Ross County photo? Boy needs a good meal.
Coll Donaldson. He seems to change look every 6 months.

There's a home game (against Dundee) scheduled for Sunday, meant to be shown live on TV too
Could be a Jordan Slew situation where we dont know who half the team are when team news comes out and they play in a kit we have never seen before

But they are still cheats and I got the accurate info direct from the Killie secretary
Now that you've explained where you got your information from, I am much less surprised that this was allowed to happen

Any chance of a home kit or new signings in the next couple days? Or are we in a complete shutdown until Friday?

Can I shock you? I like it.That away kit is oustandingly bad.
Although, I am pretty sure the home kit must've got lost in the post for them to announce all the other kits and not the home one0 -
We are definitely getting a new kit as we have a new supplier (Joma) and the club have released all the new leisure wear in the last couple weeks. Are there teams not changing their strip this year?
Start of the season is two weeks away and it seems like a lot of teams have yet to make any announcements - Dundee Utd, Livingston, Ross County, St Mirren etc.
New kits have been notably absent which raises a question as to why they haven't been announced yet. Cynical folk might say that the club is still massively unorganised and the kits haven't arrived yet, but that's purely speculation.0 -
Seems to be of a slightly better standard than our usual English buys ie he plays Championship/ League 1 rather than League 2/ Conference

The Scourie team has had players from Lochinver and Ullapool. The reality is, anyone good enough to play at NCL level from the West already play for teams based in the East. There would have been no advantage having the team in Ullapool and, as the coach and majority of the players who have played are based in Scourie/KLB/Durness, basing the team in Ullapool would be logistically silly.

Basing the new club in Ullapool rather than Scourie might have helped though
Why? Saves an hour of driving each way for the KLB ones you're on about by being in Scourie instead. And the team has still had players from Lochinver, Gairloch and Ullapool. Being based in Ullapool would just mean more travel for most players for "home" games

I’m surprised they didn’t try something in Ullapool with a few of the old KLB boys
That is pretty much what the Scourie team is

Are the club not even trying anymore? Thats just the same statement as last night with more flowerly pish around it. Avoiding all the difficult questions along with the racist elephant in the room

We've now drawn Hearts and Cove 3 out of the last 4 seasons. Time to re-think how they draw the group stage I think.

It is tremendous that almost a decade later, after winning 3 cups in that time, that this still gets under St Johnstone fans' skin.

A shame if Midge is away. Was obviously on a decline but would've liked to see him stay as a squad player and come on as an impact sub. Draper, meh. Mckay is probably actually the best player out of the 3 of them but him being released doesn't shock me. He'll do well at a Raith/Dunfermline next season. Wonder if we will get a list today/tomorrow about who's staying or going.

The whole thing today has scunnered me. I'm struggling to know how to feel about it.
Living in Glasgow, I don't get to home games very often anyway but I will be thinking more before going to away ones, when we are allowed to return and will likely go to a Pollok game instead. Certainly not totally turning my back on the club, but will be supporting from a further distance for the next wee while, at least. Have also cancelled my Staggies Army membership as it was something I did as a donation to the club and I certainly don't want to be donating to the club when we haven't explained why we have appointed Mackay, ahead of equally qualified individuals, without the chequered (being kind) past

Officially confirmed. Fucking hell.
https://www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk/news-items/malky-mackay-appointed-managerf**k sake. Even that statement is a fucking abominantion.
"In appointing Malky, the club feel that we have an individual who has vast experience, essential leadership skills and strong knowledge of the game. As well as being a respected figure throughout football with extensive contacts that will be essential in developing the next chapter of our club."

You would think so. If your SLO is speaking to the board I'd suggest there's a fair chance that Malky Mackay won't be the next Ross County manager.
The problem is, that would be logical.
