Back in the day, my old da’ used to say ‘Listens’ in relation to the record shop Listen that was famously located at the bottom of Renfield St, and across from Paisley Abbey. (Happening to be in the Paisley one on a St Mirren matchday is the reason I am a St Mirren fan, and a story told on the appropriate P&B thread). Anyway, I was always in them, always carrying vinyl in a Listen bag. Every time. Every single time… ‘Is that you been in that Listens again?’… Without fail. I eventually gave up correcting him. Should have got my own back by sticking a superfluous ‘s’ on every word of his memorial brick at The SMiSAS Stadiums.
Cheap and Nasty!

Young Josh Jack who used to be on our books has a dad (Alan) who played for us briefly - or was certainly on our books. By all accounts, most notably Alan's, Josh was a better player.

Aye, but does it have breatheable micro-mesh moisture-wicking under-arm panels and clima-cool technology woven into the fabric?
Gie’s the lowdown Drooper.
If you wear it to bed you'll wake up smelling like a burst stank!

Seems there is a Robert Street in Port Glasgow.

County are dreadful. Going down with a whimper.

Looked more like a dive than a foul.

Well it was Chic Young on the radio who announced it.
I did say to my dad that it probably meant that he was leaving.
God knows, but I would be very pleasantly surprised if were to stay.

Looks like Main is signing a new deal.
Not with us, seemingly.

It might not do Jim any harm to consider an assistant manager position somewhere if anything is available. Stay in the game, keep learning, but not in the full glare.
I think he has many of the attributes to be successful (wtf do I know, right enough), but always struck me as a bit stubborn and slow to recognise when things weren't working out as planned. Perhaps a bit naive? There is no substitute for experience, but another front line position might be too much of a gamble for him just now.

A grumpy old man did tell you this is far from over
Let's be honest, this is just SMiSA chucking a bone. I wouldn't be getting too excited about it.

Indeed, and I understand that is the primary reason for his limited game time.
Unacceptable.

Scott Arfield needs to accept he is balding. Until then it is a no from me. I am sick of seeing people, read footballers, desperately cling to a barnet that is not there.
I agree. It is undignified behaviour, and I refuse to accept the club being diminished by association.

Pretty significant moment for SMISA that a candidate who stated that they had:
"put my SMISA board application forward on the basis I wish to remove them (the Kibble directors)"
...has failed to be elected.
(and that is despite everything that's been in the press the past 2 weeks.)
Time to move on.
Indeed.
Quite the hill to die on, right enough....

The club doesn't need this public spat going on. This is a crucial time of the season when results matter and we are looking to bring in potential targets.
Wtf does Wardrop hope to gain from airing this in the media?.
He should now conduct his business properly and stop this public farce
The club will also be looking to attract commercial sponsors, and this pantomime will be a very unwelcome distraction and could serve to put off potential backers from signing up.

I'm totally bored by the entire situation.
No surprise the cooncil are making a rip roaring James Hunt of it too.
I voted against The Kibble getting involved, so I'm not really bothered whether they remain or they get ousted.
If you look around at most other clubs, there's always some sort of issue doing the rounds, which opposition fans couldn't give a toss about, much like our current situation.
The only reason anyone outside the club is aware of the current situation, is because a petulant little nobody, who has displayed levels of self-aggrandisement previously unbeknown to humankind, has gone crying to the press.
My major worry is that Robinson and/or Lasley get an offer from elsewhere, look at children arguing in the playground, and eff off to the aforementioned elsewhere.
I'm thoroughly bored reading the guy's name now.
Gie's a signing....

Mr St Mirren.?
That's toe-curling stuff.
He is becoming that jobbie (yes, that is how it is spelled) that just refuses to be flushed.
