  1. Just stumbled across this on youtube. Lad reviewing the game from Saturday.
  2. Was watching highlights from last weekends efl games and seen they had a selection of teams who where aloud 1000 socially distanced fans into grounds. Surely ST holders should be aloud into scottish lower league stadia. You would imagine a large majority of the stadiums would in the lower leagues could comfortably accommodate ST holder numbers. In theory sons fans could enter and exit the stadium without using the internal part of the stadium as we could enter/exit using the gates at either end of the ground ? The only stumbling block to that would be access to toilets etc. Also seen non league teams down south which i imagine run on a similar budget / model to scottish lower leagues teams and stadia have crowds of up to 600 so why cant we have something similar.
  3. Has anyone got any info about the payment plan available for the ST doesn’t seem to be any info on the website. Cheers
  4. 1. Paul McGinn 2. Dom Thomas 3. Sam Wardrop
  5. I had this thought after the colts game. Do you think he would go if someone came in for him in January ? Seems weird looking towards the January window when this one is not even over. Trying to stay positive but in these pressing times its proving difficult. On a more positive note you guys should be seeing more on the social media front from the club including more from the facebook and instagram.
  6. I am of the strong opinion that Layne was steaming last night.
  7. I think the is that theBonnyrigg result came as more of a shock. The worrying thing about tonights game is i went to the game expecting to see a poor performance and was completely prepared to see us get schooled by an under 21 team. Negativity on my part i know but this is just what i have come to expect from this team even at this early point in the season.
  8. Was an absolutely shocking performance. Not once was Duffy up off his arse trying to put in any input into the game. He just sat on his wee chair away from the dug out and he just doesn’t look interested at all. I would genuinely not be surprised if there was a press release to say Jim has been sacked or that he has walked away. The squad he has built is an absolute fucking shambles. I refuse to believe that he has utilised the available budget to its fullest. He either doesn’t understand the value of a decent player or he has drastically under estimated the level of the player required to compete at this level. A manager of his “quality” should surely have some kind of idea of the level of player thats needed. Surely he must have some friends/fellow managers he could turn to for some kind of help with getting some half decent loan players in. If we don’t make some more signings or some loan deal of a superior quality to what we have then i can only see us heading one way and that down...very very quickly.
  9. I missed last weeks game due to my home stag do ( reasonable excuse i think ). Was kind of looking forward to a wee midweek late kick off this week but after that absolute butt fucking we took today. Im not looking forward to it so much. I’ll still be going down to see how bad we are for myself. Are we all coming to the agreement that we will most likely be playing in league 2 next season ?
  10. At least you got a bit of hope. the last 18 months has been one prolonged kick in the balls for us Sons fans....[emoji17]
  11. I am very much inclined to agree with you on the fact he has signed a bunch of utter ringers. I still cant get my head round the whole budget and duffy staying thing but thats by the by. I do think a manager of Duffys “calibre” should be more than able to build a better squad than he has. IF Duffy was to go. Who would you like to see come in ? and do you think anyone would be able to fix or want to be associated with this utter cluster f**k that has unfolded over the close season?
  12. Reading that connor sammon was doing step overs fills me with dread about how bad we actually were. Was the performance as poor as the one against Morton ? For those who had the misfortune of attending ??
  13. Been pretty silent on here lately. What are people thinking about tomorrow ?? Just seen Falkirk have sold 2200 season tickets as well.....[emoji102]
  14. That Zata by the way!! Big Duffy must have still been half pished from rewind festival when he offered him a deal. Watched him closely in the Motherwell game and he didn’t touch the ball for 27 mins. Thats no exaggeration. He spent that time running away from the ball, Until Quitongo just smashed the ball at him and it just bounced off him and that was his contribution for the first half. He is f**ckin hopeless..
  15. Dissappointed that it never worked out for Loy. If he was fit and playing under duffy i think he would have been a great addition. But thats that saga over with. Frees up some cash to bring in someone else hopefully..
  16. Thats optimistic .... [emoji57][emoji57]
  17. Do you know for a fact that he 100% ...??
  18. Whats everyone thoughts on the fact that DT has been at all of our pre season / cup games ?? Im probably clutching incredibly at straws but we can hope...
  19. I really think the club should be utilising social media a lot more. I know a few of the guys who sit near me are in discussion with the club/board to help out with this. Facebook instagram and twitter are literally free advertising. Taking a decent advertising poster be it for the ST offer or up coming games or the new kit launch and putting it onto all 3 of these portals would vastly increase the number of people who view and would then be maybe more enticed to come down and see the football. You can make these advertisements look really professional without a massive amount of time and effort being put into them. I would actually be quite interested in perhaps helping out with something like that. Its free for the club to do surely its a no brainer really.
  20. Its peoples mindset about the club. The amount of people who ask me “why do you have a dumbarton season ticket ? What do you go and watch that shite for? “ Its a mentality that surrounds the club from the local area. I think many people just associate us with being absolute whipping boys. Its a shame really but i think its a very difficult cycle for the club to break that perspective that the local area has of the team.
  21. The longevity of the club is the most important thing IMHO.
  22. If anything he brings some smouldering good looks to the changing room. #handsomelad [emoji23][emoji23]
  23. Hope they have a couple of fans. ( no pun intended ) #sweatbox
