I’m sure the klaxon will be out in no time at all. Confident that duffy has got plans for players to bring in. Considering we’ve let half our squad leave to teams in around us. Part of me wants to be all positive cos last time i tore into the club/board pulled a blinder with the season ticket offer. The other half of me bricking it in case we have a start to the season like last season with 1 or 2 bodies on the bench. All we can do is wait and see what happens. Ive decided a positive outlook is the only way to get through this closed season without having a break down [emoji23][emoji23]

I hold my hands up and admit i was over critical of the board over the past week. I just felt felt the lack of noise from the club was them trying to shut us out. I understand this wasn’t the case. I’ve just seen the new plan in place for the season tickets which I think is absolutely brilliant. I wasn’t going to be able to renew my ticket because I’m getting married in September but I’ll now be able to renew mine. I suppose it means the club knows it will be getting a steady stream of some kind of income at least every month.

Well I must have missed these 4 occasions, but never the less here we are. Again in a transfer window and from what I can gather through the very limited ( reliable ) info we have from the club, know one knows what’s going on. Is duffy staying ? Is he going ? Do we have money, don’t we have money ? All the time players who we could be trying to sign or at least speak to are being snapped up all around us. Even clubs in lower leagues have done more business than us and I’m sure they will have more financial restrictions than us. Just seems from an outside perception that only the inner sanctum know what’s going on and are unwilling to let us know. If it’s good bad or indifferent the lack of communication from the club is infuriating. But they are not shy at coming forward and asking us to cough up cash for ST?? I think it works both ways, if I knew what was going on i would be more inclined to renew my season ticket but at the moment, sadly that won’t be the case. People saying “ you should be helping your club out” I will ( if needed ) all they have to do is come and be honest with us and tell what is actually going instead of us all moaning and bitching at each other on here. All I’m asking for is for a bit of transparency from the club as to what is actually going on, that is all.

I said it a few weeks ago, we are going to end up with panic buys and emergency loans deals. Why season after season are we almost surprised that players are going to be leaving and the window is going to be open. It’s not like it creeps up on the club and surprise !!! We can all see where we need to strengthen so surely this should be getting looked at in the run up to the window opening?? Surely the board and those making the decision (whoever that may be) can see that’s the most logical way to approach things ??. To me it just seems to be that no one knows what is going on or if they do they are just unwilling to tell us anything. But yet are asking us to fork out 250 quid for a ST. A bit of transparency from the club would be nice. But it’s not going to change with all the wee cliques and groups in the club. IMO that’s where most of the issues arise but that’s just me. Until this whole farcical situation changes I’m not putting another penny into the club, all in all last season I must have spent about 500 quid on ST, kit and away games. That won’t be happening this season. Don’t particularly like moaning about this stuff ( unlike some others who love a moan mostly the classic FB crew ) but im pretty fed up being in this situation every year .

I’ve heard that we are but it’s not going to be a custom kit like last seasons it will be an off the rail job with our badge and sponsor on it. 2nd hand info so don’t take my word on it.

My god !! The last 3 pages of this thread is like “ I know more about the laws of companies than you do” This is all hear say and people reading far to much into ridiculous rumours. It’s 2 weeks since the season ended and apparently we are going bust !! Really ??? Let’s just see how things pan out instead of arguing about the legality of who owns the club and who can tell the directors what to do. People getting there knickers in a twist when we don’t actually know any actual hard facts about what is happening.

IMO Duffy is just going to wait and see how other clubs situations turns out before making his mind. If all the talk of financial doom and gloom is correct I can’t see him sticking about, which I feel is a shame. But if we don’t have the funds there isn’t much we can do. I do fear that we will end up loosing our better performers if they are left waiting by the club as they will have caught the eye of others on our league and perhaps a few championship teams. I hope the situation isn’t a long drawn out affair and we end up with a panic buys and poor loan deals. I feel that we are kind of being held to ransom by duffy until he gets a better offer.

No doubt we’ll piss about like the majority of years and end up with a load of duds like usually happens. It’s so frustrating. The open window doesn’t just spring open and surprise clubs it happens every year at the same time. So why does it always seem or feel as though we are running around at the last minute clutching at straws ??. I would love to see us get our squad sorted early on and let who ever the manager is get his message across to the players in pre season of how he wants them to play. But only time will tell I suppose, but I wonder how many times a certain member of this forum will refresh his Dumbarton football club website feed this summer [emoji23][emoji85].

IMO (not that it’s worth anything) i wouldn’t keep Gal either, yes he “tries” but sometimes he just looks like he’s putting in so much effort and still looks like he’s running through tar. Can’t argue that his finishing has slightly improved but he still can’t judge the flight of a ball. If it goes over shoulder height he’s lost it. As for the keeper situation, Adam reminds me of the monk from mean machine. A loose canon just looking for a fight. Plus he’s injury prone and his distribution is questionable at best. I would like to see a keeper who has a good proven track record in this league or from one of the lower teams in the championship come in. But let’s be realistic, in terms of finances are we going to be able to completely revamp the team in one summer transfer window ? I hope we can but i doubt it will a complete transformation.
