Not having a fit Higgy starting to play alongside Williamson just doesn't make any sense to me. No sense at all. Higgy got pass marks for me yesterday.

For me he's always struggled to make the right substitutions at the right time, to effectively set out his team to match the opposition. He's tactically weak, no question about it. He does give a shit. He's a hard working guy and is a decent man but his weaknesses are fully understood by the fans now and have been for some time. To his credit he's pulled it round a few times now during his spell in charge and he has a decent enough eye for a player. He has some level of success with turning round the careers of a few players who weren't doing too great elsewhere. I'd even say when he gets it right we are decent to watch. He'll stick with a successful team formation, however when it goes wrong he really doesn't have any answers. It's like he'll keep fucking about with the team till we scrape a win. Baffling.

Think most of the reactionary stuff is purely down to the fact fitbaw fans are emotional. The feeling for their respective clubs runs deep. I believe it's that simple. That coupled with most having a some level of alcohol, allied to a pi$s poor performance means there will be an over reaction. I was due to go out last night to watch a bit of music. Told the wife I wasn't going, still frustrated and angry, but we did go out and I'm glad I did. However I did meet more Pars fans, all as pi$sed off as I was. Next Saturday is an away day for us in London. Estimates of numbers heading down are numbering in the hundreds. It's costing the club probably around £12k but we will recoup some of that as we get around £3.5k travelling expenses, £3K if we win and whatever our share of the gate receipt is. So it's a distraction and hopefully AJ makes an effort with the team selection and then somehow finds some level of tactical awareness during the week (doubt it). Early days but talking about reactionary, I think that for AJ's is a fundemental weakness.
