What is the 60/40 split anyway?

The semi final gates. The proceeds are - 40% to the home team and 60% to the SJFA. The explanation & justification for this being that they are allowing the participating clubs an extra game and that they'll make £5k from hospitality or they don't run their clubs professionally enough

Which clubs (not supporters on a forum) have said they dont want promotion? What people seem to forget is that this is only the 3rd full season of the WOSFL. The issue of not having a licensed champion is partly down to the SFA closing new Licence applications and the fact that the main licensed contenders shat the bed this year. Beith are top having lost 3 of their best players!!

Let's hope you don't shite any beds this weekend then or your season's looking pretty keech itself

But it wont be the final. It very much looks like both semi finals should be very well attended. Whoever gets to the final I reckon will be at least 3,000 at Cumbernauld -although St Mirren Park / Rugby Park would have been a far better option this season with teams involved in my opinion.

Most grass pitches will be getting relaid or money spent on them at that time of year. Rugby Park still an option I guess. However given West Regionnow based at Broadwood and the stadium presumably competitively priced for these games, I'm thinking most will be there now

    Yes they are.

So presumably a West Juniors - if sanctioned - could compete in pyramid ? Say at tier 9 downwards and have access to West leagues ? Albeit given numbers and possible reconfiguration it may be necessary to streamline the tiers a bit.

If it ever got to the stage where the SJFA were boasting about a crowd of 627 at a Final, then I'd say it time to pack up.

But hey, that's what we're all supposed to aspire towards.

Playing in the Lowland League Cup Final in front of 627, aye that get's the juices flowing.

You think there weren't CLC or SLC finals that got those kind of crowds at a final ? But hey we don't know what club you support so neither do we know whether you'd be bringing the 600 or the 27. Well done to all clubs that make a final I say

I guess it being a knock-out cup then drawing all away games is always a risk, whether the draw is done per round or done "tennis style".  Also, League Cup matches at any level rarely share gates, aren't they generally treated the same as league games?

Not heard much bitching about the competition at all really.

SSCC is only cup we've ever played in where there's been no share to away team *. Obviously this no longer case but it beggars belief that there's no gate share for final.

*I'll caveat that by saying that there was officially no share. Of course there are other instances where we've played as Juniors where the actual share given, bore no relation to the numbers turning up and income generated.

  7. I'll refrain from suggesting that's my bloomin point. Junior Cup traditions trumping the need to have everyone finish the season at the same time? St Cadocs, Darvel and Talbot - all in with a chance of winning the league and games still not scheduled. All @Kennie needs to do is confirm all games will be scheduled for completion on or before 11th May or actually schedule them.

It only causes heartache for Bankies. So that's a good enough reason for keeping it.

Nice to have yet another "Scotland" fan who's only recently shown up but disappointingly seems to have a dislike of the Bankies.

ETA - 9 months is recent

A club cannot gain or retain its Scottish FA Licence if it is not playing in a pyramid league. Licensed clubs sign a declaration of commitment to the pyramid.

Aren't the East and North Juniors still part of the pyramid ?

Have to admit I giggled at that as well

if your chainman was given the chance to be winded and dined with Scotland, Him, the committee and fans would want him to go. So I think missing a Clydebank game now and then was in the best interest so I cant see a Bankies game, or any other clubs game being moved to accommodate something like this

Any games that are scheduled up against a Scotland game are subject to a request for s change in kick off if relevant. That's for benefit of fans nit Matt. No idea if he's invited to Hampden or not

No games for a month probably due to the fact you got knocked out all the cups early doors.

We were forced to play Benburb in October to use a Saturday. No need as both clubs were up on games and Bens had hospitality booked for original date. Game later in April - Arthurlie - brought forward to March due to Junior semis. If you were 4 weeks idle before playing final 2 league games, you'd not be pleased. He needs to do better
