I just thought with Chalmers playing we might put Hamilton in there for balance. Otoo and Chalmers both left footed. Though we have played both in midfield before. Anybody tell us who's in midfield?

Think folk need to chill out a bit. Not saying that we should ignore the few (influential fan) murmers but the club are still actively trying to sign Premiership players. I genuinely think there's fuk all to this. The owners could maybe cover our (alleged)loses quite easily? Could even be factored in as part of their long term plan.

Nobody on here has a clue about ours or Rovers finances in all truth. Just wishful thinking that each of our clubs are getting is wrong financially. Rovers clearly going for quick success and our owners are looking for something longer term. Time will tell how the two very different visions pan out.

If folk in the know have concerns then I hope these concerns are put to the board and the board give some honest answers in return. It gives me the fear a wee bit as it has an air history repeating itself before Masterton got outed. I feel this academy is going to bring more problems than answers to be honest. It's sound s like a money pit, when we don't really have much money. This is a project that could've been started if we reached the Premiership and we were a bit better off financially. We need to get the first team in a better postion before pumping money into a youth academy. Bigger wealthier clubs in Scotland are not exactly producing a prodcution line of great talent from their academies. I'm sure they will have better funded, further reaching set-ups than ours too.

Yeah. Dave McKay said we were after a striker. The plan at the start of the season was to go with a small squad but it's bitten us on the arse due to injuries, so they must've had a change of heart on the number of strikers we're running with.

We are looking to get more depth in the squad so I would say getting a championship level striker in the door isn't pointless. Its another option if we're going to keep losing players to injury. There's also not a lot of choice in the January window.

Jakubiak , Andy Tod, Breen, Matty Todd, Aaron Comrie, Benedictus and Kane Ritchie Hosler all out. Sam Fisher, Ewan Otoo and Lewis McCann should be back for us.

Rudden scored 12 for Falkirk in 31 games and scored 14 in 36 games for Partick in this division. Not bad return at this level. It's about as good as we can get in a January window.

Not sure why we would think he's shite. Got us promotion in his first season up against Falkirk for the title. Got us competitive in the league above despite the worst injury crisis possibly in the history of our club. The team is well organised, the attacking set-up could do with some work but willing to give him time to sort that out.

Just watch out for your dodgy owners though. They dropped Kelty like a stone when they lost interest there. History could well be repeated when there's a downturn in the garage convertion market.(bullshit) The foundations that your owners have built are very shakey. All or nothing short term investment normally ends in tears.

Good to hear that Fisher is back in contention tomorrow but a bit concerned how McCann seemed to be OK last week and is now 50/50 and feeling his hamstring again. I do question if our approach to these injuries.

Aye, it's just not worked out due to the horrific injury problems this season. There's definately potential with a near fit squad to get a promotion play off spot with the current group but I really hope we try stengthen further in the summer and start trying to complete with the top 3. If we get rid of United and get Livi coming down, there would be a great chance to put in a genuine promotion push for the first time since 2011. That's way to long for a club our size. For now though we need to cover some of these injuries with another couple signings and make sure we're in this division next season.

Yeah, Fisher is a good young player. I wasn't at Firhill that day but was widely agreed he was poor that in that match. Again definately not one of the worst. I do see Partick fans putting Pars players in their teams. Understandable when you've beaten us both games but we have much poorer players than Fisher and Jakubiak to be honest. Mehmet is merited though.

Surprised too. Been poor at this level again after good season in league 1.
