Won't be Dan O'Reilly. Signed for Partick.
Get the feeling we'll be looking at young centre backs at a bigger club. Then try sign them at the end of the season if they are half decent at this level and unwanted at their club.
Really think we need to replace Bene's experience though. Not sure we can trust him to stay fit for the remainder of the season with the recurring injuries he's had.

I drove past Pitreave earlier. Initially, only the goalies were out. On my way back down 15 minutes later I could see one or two yellow tops but not a full squad. Wonder if today is more of a recovery day or something.
Probably all we have fit to train.

Totally scunnered with it all just now. The injury situation is a total farce. Think the situation has now caught up with us and heads are probably starting to go down now.
The board need to get the wallet out and fund the first team pronto. The running a small squad plan is out the window.

Not really about the three points tonight, just as long as all the Queens fans got home safely
Rovers fans making light of that now aye. Each to their own.

Hamstring injuries- McCann, Todd and Jakubiak
Calf injury- Comrie,
Thigh- Bene
Unknown, Summers(played with injury), Otoo, Andy Tod. Wighton(played with injury)
Unfortunate injuries- Fisher, KRH, Breen(always crocked anyway) Hamilton (face mask allowing him to play)
That's 5 confirmed muscle injuries with 4 unconfirmed reasons 4 unfortunate injuries that training or conditioning can't be blamed.
13 different injuries in a squad of 20. Then you have 7 fit players playing in different positions to cover injuries. i.e Owen Moffat playing left wing back tonight.
It's fukin hideous.

Totally expected with what's going on. Just got to hope the situation changes and we can get our team back at some point.

Winning a League One title with a full time squad when your competition was QotS and Falkirk - both teams who were absolute cluster fucks last season - isn't a massive achievement for the size of club Dunfermline are.
You watch 1-2 games aye expert?

No, I'm basing it on the likes of him signing strikers that don't score and handing out contracts to players like Mehmet (3 years FFS!) that just aren't near Championship level.
Only so long you can blame injuries before the buck stops with the manager. You've had a lot of bad luck, sure and tonight was always going to be difficult but you're accepting mediocrity right now IMO.
He won the league last year by a mile and had us in the playoffs with a bad injury position. Now we've gone from bad injury position to a ridiculous position and it starting to take effect. That's now another 2 new injures tonight.

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not sure the kids on the bench can really be worse than what any of our players have shown tonight. Makeshift back line, but that doesn’t explain everyone else’s performances.
Of coure it does? Moffat at left back, Edwards at centre back, Summer hobbling about injured the whole game.

Most people absolutely do not think McPake was harshly sacked. He was completely incompetent.
And unfortunately, as likeable guy as he is, he's highlighting that at Dunfermline right now regardless of injuries IMO.
Shows what clueless idiot you are are if you are looking at tonight at some kind of gauge to the job he's doing. To dismiss pretty much our full team injured?

The Comrie injury is the icing on the cake. Queens taking control now.

So now our makeshift back 3 who are not centre backs are getting injured one by one.
There are an awful lot of muscle problems now. calf, hamstring, thigh. Quite a few out with those now.

From memory Allan as played at a centre back when he was like 15 or something, we sent him to Benfica for a training camp years ago and I'm sure he said he'd used to play in defence.
That certainly would put us in the book of records for the smallest defence in the history of football.

Thats about as makeshift a Pars team you will get.
Trying to figure out a formation. Trying to work out the left centre back if that's 3-5-2. Possibly Edwards but then who would be left wing back?
Miller Fenton must be miles off it if he can't get a game tonight.

I actually like Comrie on the right of the back three but with a Bene type figure in the middle. Otoo, Hamilton, Comrie is too lightweight and I think that's part of the issue at set pieces.
Aye. It's the lightweight part that puts me off having him in the back three. I do also think he's regressed as a player over the last couple years.
He really doesn't have good core strength. I see wee strikers knocking him of the ball quite a bit in 50/50s

Robbie Mahon recalled by Motherwell from his loan at whatever the f**k Edinburgh cry themselves these days. Maybe worth another go.
Nah. Wouldn't add much. He didn't make much impact in league 1, so don't think he will be much use in the championship.

The injuries are just farcical. We've actual done pretty well to pick up the odd point here and there considering but it's just getting worse every week. At some point this is going to catch up with us. We should be looking at getting 3 in the door this transfer window. Bene and Todd are goosed. KRH will be a while. I think we were a CB sort even without injuries. Comrie is not the answer and Hamilton and Otoo should be further forward. in midfield.

At the game on Tuesday I got chatting to guy behind me who was mentioning Cardle training with the Pars and how well he was doing.Said McPake had said to him if we had money we would offer you a deal.Cardles reply I will play for nothing.
If its true I don't know why it hasn't happened.
Sounds like made up nonsense to me.

For what it's worth, I thought we were decent in general play like most other games, but we are struggling a set pieces.
The injury crisis is just incredible. Missing Bene at the back big time. The board need to spend in January to cover these injuries. Never seen anything like it. Two guys getting taken off every week. Up front we are so hesitant. Jakubiak was good but Wighton is a man down. It's like weekend at Bernie's carrying him through a game.

I sit in the Norrie. It was noticeable that just about every seat in the section nearest the flag was occupied. At the last home game it was a lot less busy. Maybe the guys who sit in there can confirm but there seems to be a squad who only turn up to the high profile games?
Aye, they seem to be happy paying a 50 quid season tickets for the big games. Total dickheads throwing flares on the pitch when we score tae. Slows the game down when we are on the front foot. The aresholes in that video are cowards. Kicking a young lad on the ground whilst on his own is embarrassing.

If we are willing to accept daft release clauses like 75k for our young players, then there is no point going down the selling youth route. Money like that is not going to remotely cover the costs of nurturing these guys and running an academy.

Enjoyed all the comments after ten minutes from Pars fans about how abysmal we were, worst they've seen etc. Time for some self reflection lads...
Still you couldn't beat an injury ravaged team with half an hour to go. Maybe you need to reflect.

Would be interesting to see how we could've done this season with half a team injured at any given point this season. Unreal that we are 4th considering the unreal amount of injuries.

Aye, Ashcroft coming back would fit the bill perfectly.
In terms of Celtic B- They have a 20 year old centre half called Dane Murray. Made his debut in the Champion League a couple years ago. Was injured for 12 months last season but back again this season.
