  1. Quite happy we're back to league action on Saturday. I'm sure the cup games are fun when you can have a proper run at it. It was more a chance to get players minutes than anything else. I'd love 6 points from the next 2 fixtures considering December looks trickier on paper. Cowden and Annan away are usually tough but even more so in the winter months. We're all aware what Edi City offer so 6 points from the next 2 would shape us up nicely for the December battles. I expect a comfortable 3-0 display for the Spiders. Good luck Queen's.
  2. Yeah. I’m not sure what Muir worked as before but it must be fantastic to only focus on football and not worry about another job. He’ll find a new level of fitness and match sharpness too you’d think. I seen on the highlights him and Grant having a shout at each other towards the end of the game. I love when players can act like that to win a game. Playing with a new bunch of professionals hasn’t fazed Willie at all.
  3. Forgot to say, Willie Muir has had a massive part to play in the shut out. He’s had a decent amount of shots on target over the 4 games. Good keepers make saves look easy with their positioning and Willie done that a few times again yesterday. For me, he’s heading to a new level this year. Looks very assured. I thought Bell would walk in but I can’t see Willie being dropped.
  4. Ross MacLean is having a big impact so far this season. Lyon done well with his finish too. Not conceding in 4 games is some achievement. We do slow down in an attacking sense when we go ahead which is very boring but at least we aren't conceding any. It was boring in the second half but we did get 3 points. I'd rather be boring and win than exciting and draw/lose. The results are looking sweet but I'm struggling to get excited when I'm watching from home. Heart breaking if we win this league and can't attend any party. Really happy for the players though. I'm starting to build an attachment to the group. The Elgin stream was fairly poor. The camera would often be looking at the opposite end of the pitch C'mon Elgin, Sh!te! "Top of the league and yer no"
  5. Interesting no one fancies a QP win. Away to Elgin is a tough fixture tbh but I fancy us. I think Stranraer are in a false position and will get a few wins at home soon. Stirling might be more comfortable but I’ll go with a draw. Annan 2 - 0 Rovers Brechin 2 - 2 Stirling Elgin 0 - 1 QP Stenny 1 - 3 Edi City Stranraer 2- 1 Cowdenbeath
  6. C’mon, it was black and white Sambas I had on. Glasgow’s famous coloured hoops.
  7. McLean done so well to go past 2 men and have the composure to finish. Couldn’t ask for more from the bench.
  8. Wow, some memory. What colour trainers did I wear that day. Let’s see how good you really are.
  9. I’d love to know the last time QP had 3 clean sheets from the opening 3 games....
  10. I agree. There’s no excuses if we don’t win this league imo. Can’t moan about depth after chucking loads of players too!
  11. I thought the commentary was quite good mate. The streaming service was awful. They should be charging £2.99 max.
  12. Absolutely buzzin with 3 points and the view from top of the table is nice. However, we’ll need to improve so much if we want to compete all season. I can see a horrible trend of wins at Hampden and horrible displays away from home. It’s still early but we’ll see. Robson has shown a lot more at fullback than Doyle. Grant looked solid today but I don’t have full confidence in Kilday yet. Gillespie has looked very good in every game. What a save from Muir to deny Orr. Seriously top goalkeeping. Overall, I don’t have too much praise because the game was quite flat. I’m worried this will be the way away from home. Need a lot more urgency and bite to start winning convincingly. Before our goal I had my post written out about sacking the manager, the players and a full on hate speech for the committee. I’ll wait to slaver pish until we don’t win. Happy Halloween and top of the table day. We shaaaaal not be moved....
  13. Can’t believe the stream. Heads sore watching this. Mine isn’t even playing
  14. Anyone else unable to login? When I click the link it reads Internal Server Error
  15. A View From the Terrace on BBC iPlayer - Season 3: Episode 3 - has a bit on QP entering the new era. Start at 37 mins in.
  16. This one was on the eyes of the away firm. Gutted to not have the day out. 3 points would be magic heading into the Elgin game next week. Elgin put 4 past Stranraer so I’m hoping we can get a couple and keep it tight at the back. I’m not sure what to expect but I’ll say another 2-0 QP win this week. Stranraer did get something from Annan away which has been a fairly hard task in recent years. Going in with optimism but might be a tough one.
  17. Murray hasn’t played any minutes. He’s been training with the first team though. I think if he does play on Saturday it’ll be from the bench. Don’t worry though, plenty of others to be scared of. Buffalo Bill is in town.
  18. I think you’ll find he’s never in the wrong. #Justice4Cox
  19. Just to have a wee moan (constructive criticism) I could hear breathing through the game. Apologies if Darth Vader was the third man.
  20. The highlights when the ball is out of play is very professional. Stirling had a similar set up. Not sure if that’s a third-party operating that or QP guys but it’s excellent.
  21. Happy with that. Still not conceded in the league and 3 points on the board. We didn’t have a pretty second half but got the job done. Done the nasty side when we made mistakes and took bookings in the middle of the park to break up play. Winners do that. I don’t think we’ll concede much this year which is comforting. Personally happy to see Galt with the arm band when he’s on. There’s loyalty in the game and he’s been at the club much longer than the newbies. Feels right. I thought he had a great first half too. Lost count how many time’s Longridge won the ball back in the middle of the park. Excellent to see. Excellent commentary. Got the balance between banter and football spot on. Crocker and Provan should be concerned. First win of the season and here’s to many more. Well done Queen’s.
  22. Agree with this. I’ve yet to see patterns, link up play or a style. They’re mature and physically in shape so compete well but I’ve yet to see any quality. Bob McHugh has scored goals at Championship level but I’m not sure what his strengths are yet. Sal for example was very good in the air and had a good shot. He didn’t have notable pace or fancy chasing men down constantly. I think we could all see how to get the best from him. I’m not sure what McHugh does well yet. He’s not been given much to be fair. I think he hit the net last week but was offside? I’m happy Slater is back in but worry we’re dependant on 1 or 2 players already for creativity and goals... Hopefully plenty positives from Saturday. All due respect, this is one of the easier games in the league. I’ll have a proper greet and a moan if we’re pish.
  23. Test event worked fine. Simple to access too. Questionable timing and notice for the average 9-5 workers mind you. Watched the highlights again. How we never scored a couple chances. Fancy a 3-0 on Saturday.
