How close was he to actually leaving last summer? I know we offered him what he was after but I always presumed he did that just to force your hand and give in to him. Not sure if we’d go back in for him this summer if he leaves.

Fairly close from what I've heard hence why it took so long to get the contract signed. He'd still do a job for Ayr The system we play just doesn't suit him he plays way too deep at times almost like a CAM. Should be up front as much as possible

Do you think you lads will be looking to keep Cammy after his loan spell is done?

If we get relegated no chance. I can't see a lot of players willing to stay even if we do stay up.  I can imagine our squad next season being filled with youth players & loanees cause that's all we can afford. We just want this season done then we can start to worry about the sqaud for next season

Billy Mckay pushed for a 2 year contract now rumours has it he wants gone by the Summer.  I totally believe it cause why would he want to stay another season? If he wants gone I can't see the likes of Cammy being to keen either.

I think I follow what you’re saying!. One would also have to ask why a talent like Adam Brookes is given about 20 mins playing time since Dunc took over and why Keith Bray was allowed to drift out. Why waste local young talent ?

He doesn't trust Mcgregor, Samuels, Bray or Brooks. He's a stubborn idiot who'd rather pick academy players with no professional experience.

Carson & Welsh were pretty much forced out by him. They were willing to stay till Summer but Dunc wanted his signings in & that meant they had to go.

He’s really not a very good footballer and it probably shows how desperate we are because I want to see him get a game. Mainly because he is fast and that is something we are desperately missing up front.

Totally agree Samuels can't hit a barn door some games but our passing at times is made for his pace who cares if all he can do is run with the ball if he can bring other players into the game by beating defenders then he's worth a shout in my opinion. He's not totally useless in front of goal either he can score the odd goal.

Dunc should be seeing this being such a great tactican & all. Why stick with slow strikers when our passing & style of play is screaming for some pace up front

Folk on Twitter saying Ferguson was shouting at the fans after the game? Any truth in that?

He came over to the fans at the bottom of the stand who were clearly pissed off & he got told where to go by a few. His attitude then changed completely where he started shouting back going on about how we only lost cause we were down to 10 men. Nothing wrong with his tactics & decisions of course

What planet is this guy on? I get showing appreciation to the away support even after a lose but coming up to that section was just stupid. Especially with the run we're currently on & our current position in the league etc etc

You could cleary see they weren't happy so why the f**k would you walk up to them like a patronising c**t then act shocked when you get told a few home truths 🤦

I pretty much feel the same. His reaction at the end of the game today was weird. He seemed to be delighted with the point and I think he was expecting a bigger reaction from the fans.

Don’t get me wrong, going away to top of the league and getting a point is a good result but they were there for the taking and we didn’t seem to be playing to win the game. It seemed as though we were settling for the point and if a chance happened to come our way to win it then that would be a bonus, as opposed to actually giving it a proper go. We did have chances in the second half and towards the end of the game but nothing that was a clear cut goalscoring opportunity in my opinion.

We aren’t getting out of this by drawing games we need to win and it needs to start with Partick next weekend.

💯 he seems to be oblivious to our current situation. We need to play to win not just to avoid defeat. We need to create & convert way more chances.

The goal we scored sounded like a lucky one Walton should've done better with Pepples cross. Looks like it would've been another defeat had Duffy not been at the right place at the right time. Billy Mckay & Shaw only players apart from Wotherspoon to have scored over 3 goals this season. Alex Samuel scored 3 in one match against Raith that's it. Someone needs to step up & be a constant threat

  7. Should've been a great result today picking up a point away to a desperate top of the table Dundee Utd side but i can't help but feel miffed after that especially after results around us. Don't get me wrong I'll take it all day long but it's still frustrating.

Duncan Ferguson saying thats it's a great result is just pissing me off it's the same shit every week as long as we don’t lose he seems to be delighted well that ain't good enough for me. Draws with the odd win in a month won't get us out of the bottom 2. Maybe in previous seasons it would've worked but this season no.

Maybe if we actually won at home then we can celebrate a point away to Dundee Utd. But we're 3 points adrift & Ayr have a game in hand. Ayr are the only team now that I can see us realistically catching so we can't let them get too far ahead.

Next week against Partick is crucial anything less then a win & we are pretty much set for 9th.

Perhaps the fans should do something about the negligence and  'entrusting' officials, instead of giving it crocodile tears when some consequences occur years down the line.

Worry about your own club you're a Morton fan presumably from Greenock why do you care so much about Inverness? We don't want your pennies worth. We've tried our best to back the club anyway we can. It's not our fault that the board & now the Highland Council have shafted us big time.

I wouldn't wish this uncertainty on any club or their fans even if a couple of fans on P&B pissed me off so much that I'm still raging about it years later.

  9. Absolutely delighted with that result but I'm not holding my breath. It was the same after the Raith game we all got our hopes up & we were soon sent crashing back down to earth. We win at home next week against Airdrie then I'll start to get hopeful.

Need to start winning at home it's as simple as that. Next week's game is vital we have to make this win count. 1 defeat in our last 5 games isn't bad at all it's certainly a lot better then losing all the time just a shame most of the results were draws.

We just got to hope that this has finally given players the boost they need.

    A broken hand?

Bert Trautman played through a FA Cup Final with a broken neck.

    Just saying like.

Ok Kurt Angle 👍 he played the final  15 minutes with a broken neck & Man City were already 3-1 up. He didn't even know he had a broken neck till the next day when X-Ray's revealed the extent of the injury.

Alex Samuel is playing through a broken hand & stiches in his shin he's obviously not going to be 100% just saying like.

  11. 20 hours ago, MarkoRaj said:

Has Samuel not been fairly decent for you? Know he's been injured but he scored a few to start

Ex-player so pretty much a stick-on to score v us

He's been decent for us had a great game against Raith. Unfortunately he's been playing with a broken hand in recent games so that's obviously holding him back.

Plus this battery project appeal that has gone in may have been due to councillors being reminded of the clubs last major business venture.

When the Caley Thistle Concert Company went into liquidation creditors were left out of pocket, the settlement was 65%, so if you had invested £1000 you received £650, go higher at say hotel rooms, transport and hospitality at £10,000 then your loss would be significant.

Possibly a lot of Chinese whispering at play.

Yeah that concert fiasco has painted the club in a bad light with many businesses in town so no doubt that's played a part in this.

It’s absolutely not an investment. You have to be a complete lunatic to think putting money in a football club would see you end up with a profit.

I don’t think it is particularly fair to say they don’t care either. They clearly do care and are willing to lose hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to keep the club going. The main issue is that they don’t have a clue how to run a football club so decided to bring some one in to deal with it, which is actually very sensible, the problem being the man they employed to do that is Scot Gardiner.

Maybe I was bit too harsh on the directors without their money we'd be screwed im just finding it hard to trust the board was pretty angry last week as well. I'm sure one or 2 care otherwise what's the point  I just hope they're not getting fed lies or promises we can't keep by a certain someone in order to get their cash "If you invest such & such we'll repay you when the battery farm money comes in" I think we can all agree though that Scott Gardiner is a absolute charlatan con man & a lot of the issues lie with him.

  14. 2-0 up then 3-2 up & we fucking bottle it with poor defending from crosses & stupid mistakes. Reckless challenge from Shaw for the penalty that cost us dearly. Can't help but feel that's gonna bite us in the ass come the end of the season.

At least the game was actually entertaining & I suppose a draw is better then nothing against one of the top 3 teams. Most ICT fans would've happily taken a point but to throw that away is just frustrating. It's got all the signs of relegation. We can't hold onto a lead, we can't hold onto a draw & as soon as we go a goal down the heads drop & we struggle to get back into the game.

Next 2 games are crucial anything less then 4 points and we're in big trouble...

Why aren't Inverness CT able to operate as a business independently of Scot Gardiner's monorail scheme exactly?

Your club's future is in your own hands - you just don't want to run it off the back of your existing revenue base.

Not just the Highland council I'm crictising here Scott Gardiner is a charlatan as well. Our board have put us in this mess with stupid & selfish decisions over the years

Our board put all their eggs in one basket on this occasion and its backfiring on them.

Our clubs future is now in the hands of people who don't care both the board & now the Highland council. Ross Morrison maybe a fan but I doubt the likes of Scott Gardiner would care if we went bust or part time he would just move onto his next venture. Same with the directors pumping money into the club they just see it as an investment.

It's a massive shit show from both sides

  16. What a fucking shit show 👏 if the council stick with this U-turn there is gonna be legal actions taking place surely 🤦 this could go on for a while yet. Last thing the club needs is all this going on in the background.

Was a bold idea from the start but Gardiner & Co insisted on it & it looks it could very well backfire badly...

Not a good look on the council & it's not like they need any more scrutiny.

All in all its not just not fair on the fans our clubs future is literally in the hands of suits & pen pushers who don't care about us. All this uncertainty is not nice.

  17. In all fairness we get the odd Friday night game. YouTube highlights and a SPFL roundup mid week not an awful lot of coverage so if you're not watching ICT on a regular basis youre not really going to know how well we're actually playing. You're just going to look at the table & assume that we're doing good or bad.

We had 1 point before Ferguson came in so pundits are just gonna look at the points we have now & assume Big Dunc is doing a stellar job when in fact its been up & down since he came in & fans are now stating to get fed up with his horse shoe tactics.

  18. Jesus christ another defender.... please, please keep Boyes or Harper 🙏 would be gutted to see one of those 2 leave let alone both of them.

I honestly couldn't care about Duffy or Davidson let them go...

Would be sad to see Devine go he can still do a job for us plus he's been a good servant & he has experience which is essential in such a young squad.

Scouts from England were apparently looking at Harper recently so that's why I have a bad feeling about him...  if we can finish January with him & Boyes still on the books I'll be a happy man

  19. That's Davidson away then it's  obvious Dunc doesn't rate him. Boyes is staying otherwise he wouldn't have played last week in the cup game, same with Anderson. If people can remember back to our game against Cowdenbeath in November neither of our loan players were in the squad cause their parent clubs didn't want them being cup tied so the fact they played last week gives me the impression they're staying.

Devine won't be going we need his experience plus he's been pretty solid recently. Udjur is pretty decent at this level so can't see Dunc getting rid of him.

Duffy will probably stay for CB & RB cover. So that just leaves Davidson... neither the fans or the manager rate him & he's not had a lot of minutes under Ferguson. So aye reckon he'll be gone by end of the month.

Whether you think it's bait or not, you surely can't deny that it's evident of a struggle to maintain a big enough playing pool of players willing to relocate locally to sustain two full-time Highland football clubs? It also dilutes the notion of a "Highland derby" given how readily it happens.

You're making out we're exchanging players all the time🤣🤣 the odd player goes over the bridge.  It's either go to County or Inverness, go part time at Elgin or relocate down in the central belt. Where was this crap when Simon Murray played for both Dundee teams?
