  1. Please for the sake of mine & every other Caley fans sanity get a striker that can actually score in the Championship Mckay isn't past it quite yet but he can't do it on his own he struggles without decent support which Wotherspoon was providing. Brooks just isn't ready yet. He's got potential but he won't fulfil it this season he needs a loan spell in league 1 or 2. He looks a lost boy in some games.... I used to think Samuels could step up after Mckay but I've given up. He had a purple patch when we first got him but he's always injured these days. He's very inconsistent as well. Some games he's decent some games he's rank rotten. He's got speed though which is always helpful in the Championship but he's certainly not a capable, consistent finisher. Sheridan is past it I won't be surprised if he retires after he's done with us. Good delivery from Harper & Sheridan couldn't even get it on target. I don't think he's done on Monday like Wotherspoon I think he's with us till end of this month cause he signed at the end of October a week or two after we signed Wotherspoon. I was off the impression their contracts ran out at the start of this month but Wotherspoons contract runs out on Monday which is 3 months after we signed him. This is why I think we got Sheridan for another game or 2.. especially if we can't sign another striker quick enough. Lodovica is just hopeless probably one of the worst strikers I've ever seen and now that he's injured we won't be able to offload him till the summer..... no doubt if he wasn't injured he probably would've joined the departures yesterday.
  2. Imagine being on the side of a guy who was shagging his team mates other half while he was grieving for his father. That's proper John Terry behaviour right there.
  3. Was hoping he'd be away to Livingston, Dundee or back to St Johnstone. Not ideal he's signed for another club in the Championship. A replacement for him is crucial. Him n Mckay were our main sources of goals now we have to rely on 35 year old Billy to score.
  4. This is why I stuck up for them a lot when they were getting stick from fans. I can't remember them saying or tweeting anything too negative about Gardiner or the club they were literally accused of kissing ass but they've somehow been banned from speaking to players & staff which is just insane. No wonder they were a bit reluctant to ask the hard questions. Absolutely disgusting way to treat fans especially fans that are trying to provide a service to the support. I personally really like the podcast listen to it quite a lot the interviews with players n staff was a good insight into the club. We now have to rely on the P&J or the Inverness Courier back pages for a club that desperately needs to engage with their fans more it's a baffling decision.
  5. Totally agree with you there's been a few times in the last few matches that I've been looking for him when we're on the attack and he's offering support instead of being in the box it's like he's playing as a false nine.
  6. Both teams weren't exactly amazing today.... Morton had chances on the break most notably the Muirhead sitter. Our best and only clear cut chance was the Billy Mckay effort that was well saved by the Morton keeper. Morton certainly a lot better then they were a month ago Lewis Strapp returning has been a big boost for them & the team seem to be finally getting a grip. Morton did well off the ball and made it hard for us to break them down fairly defensive at times but that's to be expected especially away from home. We didn't really offer much in the final third and we were wasteful with the possession we had. Wotherspoon will be out for at least 10 days now with a hamstring injury and it's likely that could be the last time we see him in a Caley Shirt January is a big month for us.
  7. Carson is back in training after dealing with some family issues. Needs to get sharpness back would say he's a real possibility for tomorrow. Doran & Samuels are also back in training. Mcgregor is back training part time. Only long term injury we seem to have now is Big Harry Lodovica who is having on-going problems with his ankle ligaments and will be out for a "few months" Can't say I'm gutted about that only issue I have is that we're probably stuck with him now till his contract runs out in the Sunmer which means any wages he's on won't get freed up next month to help get new players in.....
  8. Just cause Kris Doolan has the personality of a fish he's lost 3 games out of 12 in charge hardly a "shit load". We had 1 point when he took charge now we have 17 so that's why he gets our vote
  9. Maybe if we didn't have such a crap start to the season but I reckon no one is stopping UTD. Play offs is definitely achievable though
  10. On the Robbo subject I just can't hate him for taking a wage that none of us would've turned down. He had a tough few years there lockdown losing his sister, getting a hip replacement. Can't blame him for wanting to take a job in the background and if it paid over £90k a year he'd be a mug to turn it down. As for the BBC shenigans I gotta laugh at it man, yes he probably should've shown more support and attended more games but at the same time it obviously wasn't in his job description to watch us play every week. It's like being mad at someone for having 2 jobs all the work he's done for the club and fans just turned on him. Don't get mad at him get mad at the people who hired a "head coach" who couldn't scout. Get mad at the people who decided to keep Dodds even when Robbo was telling them Dodds isn't good enough to manage us. Plenty of times I saw him at mid-week games mostly friendlies that even I couldn't be bothered attending like the Inverness cup win against Clach. The board was just so vague as they normally are over his job and that's where a lot of the animosity came from. Saying all that I'm glad he's gone as we cleary don't need a "Sporting director" now that Dodds is away it frees up space in the payroll budget and it keeps fans happy. He hasn't lost any respect from me and he's still a legend in my eyes I wish him all the best.
  11. Samuels is also frustratingly inconsistent . Hasn't been the same player since 2021/22 . Lodoivica is just hopeless god knows why we signed him. Maybe once Sheridan gets more sharp and fit he can help Billy out. Luckily we have Shaw and Wotherspoon to contribute but we need more then that.
  12. Only game in the league in which we scored more then 1 goals was the 3-2 away win over Arbroath. Every other time has been in the cups 2-1 home win over Bonnyrig, 3-2 home lose to Airdrie and a 4-2 away defeat to Arbroath in the Challenge Cup.
  13. There are similarities but White was nowhere near as bad as Lodovica. At least White can score at this level & in the top flight, I would be surprised if Lodovica scores more then 5 goals this season let alone 16 or even 10.
  14. Duffy is horrendous at CB just keep him at RB. The fact that Dodds thought he was our replacement for Deas is insane. Devine seems to only perform well when he has a competent partner in CB (Warren, Meekings, Broadfoot, Deas etc etc) when he's playing with centre backs like Delaney or Duffy he struggles it's almost likes he's exposed too much. Udjur and Boyes are a much better pairing no doubt about it Devine can offer cover. Keep Duffy and Delaney away from Central Defence no matter what. Totally agree with all those players get them to f**k. Got a soft spot for Hyde cause he's one of our own but he's cleary not cut out for this level
  15. I thought quite a few people knew knew this I'm not making it up that's why we had Ryan Barret for just over a month (Thank f**k!) Even tho he was an emergency signing he was so crap we didn't offer an extension. A few fans knew if we signed Wotherspoon we could only offer him a short term deal till January cause for some reason clubs can't sign players after September on a long term deal. I don't know why that is but apparently its the rules.. this was said weeks before he even signed so it ain't getting plucked out of thin air Does anyone honestly think we've offered him a 3 month contract over fitness and finances?. A player of his calibre? If we signed him in the Summer or September pretty sure he would've been on a 1 year contract at least. We just gotta hope he signs an extension, plays well and stays fit. End of the day we'll see how he gets on.
  16. After the loan window closes (End of September) clubs can only sign a free agent on a short term deal till January. He should hopefully sign an extension till end of season when the new year arrives.
  17. Riddled with the cold felt a bit better today was tempted to attend Big Duncs 1st home game looked out the window & thought "f**k that". Probably one the best decisions of my life
  18. Aye Ferguson definitely made a mistake there... you could tell that even 3 goals ahead we still looked a bit nervous at the back and those changes did not help things. Our weakest link is our defence especially with the likes of Davidson and Delenay on. Inviting too much pressure on our defence isn't a wise idea right now...
  19. Great win today against the in form team of the league. We were actually ruthless for a change and took the chances given to us can't help but feel a few weeks ago we would've lost or drawn that. Actually playing from the back and we looked threatening again going forward. Seems Ferguson has made an impact already. I'm praying that it continues. Only issue i have which has been our main issue this season we still can't hold onto a lead..... lucky that we scored 3 or that would've been likely more points dropped. Big Duncs park the bus tactics let us down a bit in the 2nd half along with our subs. Nevermind we got our first league win of the season! And we should savour it next few weeks is massive for us. Partick Thistle at home then Morton away if we get at least 3 points I'll be happy 4-6 points would be just the ticket 🎟
  20. Well said last time Morton were in the top flight Stock, Aitken & Waterman were dominating the charts & Inverness still had 3 teams
  21. That appears to be the case. I honestly didn't expect it to go on anything else. I think some fans were expecting investment in the sqaud gotta say that was a bit naive....
  22. I think we got up to £1.5m for it all together. Definitely no less then a million. Makes sense both OF teams made the Semis plus Falkirk who have a decent following & obviously Celtic had THOUSANDS of fans at the final plus we got all our fairweather and Casual fans out for 2 games all though nowhere to be seen now can hardly say I blame them..... You also get a fair chunk of coin nowadays from television rights hence why you get like half a million for winning the League Cup. For teams outside the Old Firm that's quite a lot of money.
  23. Some of them are a bit too "positive" but it's easy to say shit on twitter and Facebook when the most interaction an average fan will have with club staff outside of football is seeing them in Morrisons or Costa. Whereas Journalists and other media outlets actually have to interact with them and speak to the likes of Gardiner by email, face to face or on the phone. Gardiner is in control of our media so i understand why certain people gotta watch what they say about him and the club.
  24. Exactly this is why I laugh at people who crictize the pod guys for "kissing ass" if they start crictizing Gardiner and being too negative he's probably never gonna agree to an interview again and he'll probably make life hard for them in terms of speaking to players interacting with the club etc he just seems like that kind of individual.
