And I totally get how boys don't want to panic and want to be super positive but just as you might find knicker wetting too early annoying, pretending something isn't bad that is, is pretty grim too. It's great that people want to support the squad. We're all Falkirk. Whilst these lads are ours we should be behind them during the games. Hate booing at matches.. helps no one. Doesn't mean you can't review after the games and have the fear at some skill levels.

I don't really see how anyone could say we weren't tbh. Fair enough, might be one or two individuals who showed flashes, but collectively it was dross. Doesn't mean season's over or we won't win next week but all you can say so far from the LC and league game is that we look poor and must get a lot better. I think we will. But that has to be optimism rather than based on anything concrete.

I think the obvious thing for me is that the last time we won this league I knew after 2 games that it was in the bag. We just looked so much better than the others. That's not this team. It's not a title winning squad. Might get pelters for that as it's so early season, but it just isn't. Not hugely surprised by that tbh given the big turnover of staff. Could definitely still nick into the playoffs though.

I get the feeling every week we're going to get 1 or 2 WTF selections that leave you scratching your napper...

I'd worryingly say Kidd's currently our best option at RB. Not convinced by McGhee there at all.

A lot depends on how we play this season. If we're utterly fucking pish to watch Hartley might well be emptied. If we lose out in the playoffs or don't even make them but play some decent stuff I'm fine with him getting another season if he wants it. If you ignore Ayr, QoS, Alloa, Morton Two of DU, County, ICT, Mutants, Thistle and us aren't making the playoffs or winning the league. Not sure why we'd be expected to be any better than the above teams. Reaching the playoffs would be a decent effort with a completely new squad cobbled together. No that such what ifs matter anyway, as we're going to Ron Jeremy this league

I was thinking the same thing. Given that even if PH has had a good summer, 4 or 5 of the signings will be duds or bang average, this might be a two season job. Spend next summer ditching the failures and building on a spine of the successes.
