  1. Thanks for that, very pleased to see that. Need to go have some meetings with our community councillors before we would go further but have until the deadline to do so.
  2. If that’s correct, will need to keep researching, we would probs need a big influx of cash to be able to pay players if we went that way, but if players just played for free we would probably be able to sustain them etc and provide all necessary to compete. Wouldn’t be able to pay some of the money larger clubs do but in time wouldnt see it being impossible.
  3. That’s a very good idea I shall ask. Thanks for the response mate. Criteria isn’t far off for us to achieve it’s really just the cost and I’ve been told 2000 to apply at the moment but could be jumping to 20000 soon. If there’s truth in that would be a now or never situation.
  4. It’s not kirkliston and south queensferry mate and keeping to ourselves before we decide to go any further but if anyone here had any information regarding running of a semi professional club would be massively appreciated, we could apply and possibly get stuff with temporary fences and gates to ensure our pitch is private etc but would like to see what is all involved before making rash decisions.
  5. I had a look at it mate we’ve not got all that but have some and feel some is attainable within the next year or two. Was more someone involved at a club to tell us what entails being a senior team. Costs committee required etc. four of us just now and do a good job but get local crowds 50+ upwards to most home games which is on par or more than some current eos teams. We would like to be progressive but only if it’s viable for us. We’ve plenty sponsors all equipment, own pavilion pitch etc just be what is involved with actually running an eos team.
  6. Considering getting my amateur team involved in eos setup, does anyone here have any information that could help, won’t be overnight will be progressive but have a lot of good support from our village to start with.
  7. What’s the LEAFA SATS Scottish cup draws
  8. As long as Disney doesn’t have any personal agendas against players he competes against with Lauriston. As long as that doesn’t affect his picks I reckon he’ll have a very good squad.
  9. Wonder if any the teams from outside the prem will cause any upsets this weekend. Who we fancying ?
  10. Don’t know which way to call that, maybe tollcross steal the points
  11. Any games worth watching this weekend??
  12. Good to see mussy get their first points on the board I see. Also newcraighall bouncing back from Saturday to win 4-1 in friendly. Maybe both teams will carry this forward to this Saturday.
  13. Who’s all playing tonight? Who we fancying ?
  14. Where is offering prices for tomorrow’s conference games I can’t see them on mcbookie yet. Any ideas folk
  15. I said murieston would be one to watch out for. Some win they had yesterday.
  16. Honestly 4g is great for training but causes a lot of injuries. Far too many people I know have had their knees pack in or had no give and injured themselves on it, it’s a shame CP can’t play there but we should be trying to use the grass pitches than using these 4g ones. Plus boys probably paying 5/10 a week to play amateurs on a Saturday so would need to fork out another 10/15 on fuel with a trip to Grangemouth as most teams are from the Lothian and Edinburgh area not Falkirk and Grangemouth. I don’t think it’s unreasonable they can’t play home matches there.
  17. Any decent games worth watching tonight?
  18. Brutal, as soon as a team does well it just gets attacked. Fair play to CP they can only beat what’s in front of them and that was colville the Scottish cup winners. They’re a good addition to leafa with the quality they have.
  19. Honestly brutal some guys with amazing ability would rather play an Xbox or take gear every weekend than go kick a ball. Some of the best players I’ve ever played with can’t be arsed and it’s brutal. I think this season the prem and a few 2nd div clubs will be decent. Lothian vale will piss the league they’re in but doubt there will be much else in that division. I’m equally as buzzing to go watch the games myself this year!
  20. Good test against good opponents can only help for the season ahead.
  21. Serious shots fired here
  22. The 20s leagues not a bad standard to be fair. However as it’s a friendly could’ve had first team players playing and tollcross may have been short. If you look at edi United 20s last few results you’d doubt its the same team that got beaten off newcraighall. I’ve not seen anything for tonight either so I’m afraid I can’t help you there.
  23. Who u fancy for it![emoji23]
  24. Any big games this weekend worth taking in?
