Releghitti away to Killie on loan, sadly it’s only for 7 days, hopefully extended for the season
Really hope he doesn’t have to come on today

That's what I thought but have seen people say it's a 2 game ban due to the amount of bookings he's had
Don’t think so. Sure it’s 6 yellows before you’re suspended and even counting the Morton game as two yellows only puts him on four for the season according to a quick Google search.

Does anyone know if Sibbald is still suspended for the Dunfermline game or was it just a 1 game ban he got?
Should just have been the 1 game ban as was for two bookings

No listened to it today but will never forget the tears from Gardiner when Utd got promoted during the covid season. Bitter h*n arsehole.

A good all round game for us but sadly lacking up front, the loss of Wotherspoon was telling and we definitely need a couple of front men in this week, pleased with the team and if we had had a striker we would have walked that game, Dundee United looked very much like a mid table team last night and it seems the early league performances are well behind them, some of their fans on this thread moaning they are missing a couple of players through injury but I can't see that would have made a difference, Watt looked like he just finished a pint of lager and a bag of crisps and then turned out for his pub team.
But what is it with Shaw as we could have done with some of the brilliance he showed last season, best we drop him now.
Whilst I agree we didn’t look good at all, I think having Gallagher, Docherty, Sibbald and Moult available (plus Wotherspoon when he signs) will make quite a difference. They are arguably our 5 best players!
ICT passed it about quite well (certainly better than us) but never really looked like scoring, McKay was coming back too deep into an already crowded midfield and you never had much threat in our penalty box as a result. Imagine Dunc will be signing at least one new attacker this window. They won’t get relegated but think making the play offs will be beyond them this season.

Very fortunate 3 points. Walton and Holt basically won that game for us. Middleton was absolutely brutal until he put one on a plate for Watt…
There was very little on our bench and hopefully having a two week break will allow some players to get themselves fit. Tillson looks like he’s done his hamstring too.

Wotherspoon is so it looks like him and Greive.
some bad news is we might look to bring in a defender and Gallagher is sidelined for roughly 5 weeks.
Is Moult ok for Friday?

Yeah think they’re decent additions for where we’re at. Would like a solid centre half in with Gallagher out though.

Ross County want 115,000 for Simon Murray.
No chance we should pay that!

Any news on Gallagher and McMann injuries?

Sam Nicholson released. Looks like it was him we have offered a deal too. Can’t imagine we are the only team in for him so will be interesting to see who gets him.
Heard St Johnstone want him as well. Also rumour of Danny Wilson ex hearts and rangers

Heard we have offered a contract to a winger playing in America. No clue on a name but it’s none of our ex players but has played in Scotland before, don’t have the energy to start digging Also seen someone on Facebook saying the Simon Murray rumours were “nonsense” This isn’t true heard he’s desperate to come. Also heard wotherspoon is being considered but injury’s dependent.
no clue if any are done but certainly talks on going.
Any news on Gallagher’s apparent injury?

Without 3 or 4 signings of players better than what we currently have we’re not going up. Zero creativity and strikers who look like they’ve no idea how to finish. That chance for Moult when Fotheringham headed it down should be a striker’s bread and butter.
To have no other striker in the squad (bar a 16 year old boy) is ridiculous, even more so when you consider we all pointed this issue out last season.
We need to bring players in in January and quickly. Looking at the bench tonight before the game I could have told you what the subs would be and pretty much when they’d happen. So fucking predictable it’s unreal.

If Doc, Watt and Glass are out then there’s probably only 1 change to starting line up from last week so not too severe… though Tillson is a downgrade on Docherty.

Sadly for us that person is correct. Both out for few weeks. Young Declan also not been seen at training for a few days.
Rumours on Twitter of Fotheringham and McMann also being doubtful……
WTF

Couple of bad injuries this week. Not great I am predicting a very weak bench tomorrow
Ffs, first choice players?

United will continue to say we are in a position to do something if the right player is available and then do nothing other than recall Miller Thomson from his loan (see last January and Kai Fotheringham).

Not arsed about going out but that was a stinking performance. Players strolling about from first minute. Glass put in one of the worst performances I’ve seen from a Utd player, absolutely terrible.

Moult’s booking was a joke. Though Grimshaw probably should have been booked and can’t argue with the yellow cards for Gallagher and Tillson.

The Mehmet sub was at half time (which wouldn’t count as a stoppage) and we made subs at 4 stoppages during the game. We made 5 subs, all at different times (after 22, 45, 55, 60 and 75 mins) I genuinely don’t think that’s supposed to be allowed?
Surely the concussion rule should be that a concussion sub doesn’t count as one of your stoppages, rather than allowing you an extra stoppage if it’s made at half time?
Yeah fair point, feck knows then?

Genuinely think the ref just wasn’t keeping track/doesn’t know the rules. Unless the ruling on subs changed this season, the last sub shouldn’t have been allowed, as we had used 3 stoppages to bring on McCann, Todd and Jakubiak.
A concussion sub (mehmet) means you get an extra substitution so assume that was it?

Good 3 points without playing particularly well. Mochrie made us better. McMann deserved man of the match. Missed a few good chances and to be honest the Pars keepers at fault for both our goals . Think we just about deserved that.

Just saw replay of Holt’s goal, an absolute bullet header. What a signing he’s been.

We didn’t play great but took our chances and once second went in we saw it out very comfortably to be honest. Walton was good, Sibbald second half was excellent and Kai took his goals well. Everyone else put a shift in and it was job done. Moult well rested for Saturday is a bonus. Hoping Docherty isn’t out for long.
