  1. Apologies. Still would have expected something from the Rovers on our way forward though.
  2. Where did 5 off the apprentices come from ? Fife Elite. Maybe not our own Academy but positive that the management team will still be looking CAS teams and local youth set ups for prospects.
  3. It's been common knowledge for a few months now. Bill Clark had an article in the program well before Christmas about this. Heard nothing since.
  4. Received similar email. Strange as I didn't even enter the ballot. Someone trying to cause mischief methinks.
  5. Standby my initial comment that it was a Board Decision. People will only tell you their own opinions and what they want you to hear/believe. Nice to know that BOD are aware of the furore the pricing structure has caused. Will it make any difference? Not one jot. Unfortunately.
  6. Happy with Liam Dick slightly underwhelmed with Aiden Connolly and only time will tell. Regards Season Tickets. Think it's a Massive OG. Wouldn't lay the blame solely with JS as he is only one man. So the majority of our BOD must have thought it was acceptable and justified. Great for the under 16 fan base but one helluva kick in the teeth to the rest. Only my opinion and could be wrong.
  7. Combine that with £50k from James Anderson, cash raised from " Donate a Ticket", sponsors, Raith TV, season tickets and all the various fundraising activities by groups and individuals. I would expect the club to better financially than it has been for many a year. Thanks to one and all.
  8. Obviously more " au fait " with the rules than our previous Board Member.
  9. Bad craic I agree. But what fans need to realise is that a football club is a business. Probably bracketed in the entertainment business. With that in mind they will do whatever suits their budget and business model. BOD are only there for a short period ,compared to the longevity of your club, and should/must make decisions to assure the club survives. If bumping players or adding £2 on PPV is the answer so be it. I would hope that decisions , like these ,are not taken lightly and no feasible alternative was available. With that said I will be taking my usual seat on Saturday to watch the Fife Derby. On my comfy chair in my living room.
  10. As mere minions we will never fully know what happens deep within San Starko. Unfortunately returning usually never works out. Hope it does this time but history is never usually wrong.
  11. That'll be that then. Coronavirus – Joint Response Group Update Sunday September 27th 2020 The club received an update from the SPFL Joint Response Group on Thursday 23rd September, and would like to share the content with supporters: “The Joint Response Group (JRG) has held initial discussions on the implications for Scottish football of yesterday’s announcement that the return of supporters has been postponed and, consequently, that no further fan pilot events will be considered until the national outlook for Covid-19 improves significantly. Significantly, the Minister for Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing, Joe FitzPatrick MSP, has confirmed to us that he has written to the UK Minister for Sport and Civil Society seeking urgent discussions regarding a package of financial recovery for sport, accessible to Scotland. The Minister also expressed the gratitude of the Scottish Government for the efforts that Scottish football has made in playing its part in the national effort to tackle the pandemic. The JRG would like to put on record our thanks to all clubs who have played their part by adhering to the strictest measures to combat Covid-19, despite the enormous financial toll it has inflicted on them. The game in Scotland depends on ticket revenue far more than the vast majority of professional leagues across Europe. We usually see over five million supporters per season attending Scottish league matches – with 43% of all revenue generated via gate receipts. The prospect of that vital income being lost for the majority of the season – far less in its entirety – could be catastrophic for many of our clubs. We are committed to working with government to avert that crisis. Rod Petrie, Scottish FA President and chair of the JRG, said: “We understand the challenges and decisions facing the Scottish Government and society as a whole and Scottish football will continue to play its part in helping the country overcome the pandemic. “It is also incumbent on us to safeguard the futures of our football clubs, whilst at the same time respecting and adhering to public health guidelines. We welcome the correspondence from Scottish Government to the UK Minister for Sport and Civil Society and hope for a positive outcome for the national game and Scottish sport as whole.” Neil Doncaster, CEO of the SPFL, commented: “We are engaging with the Scottish Government to underline the existential threat to many of our clubs, and to the huge community, economic and sporting benefits they deliver, if this grave situation continues without meaningful public financial support. We therefore welcome the intervention of the Scottish Government in seeking urgent discussions with the UK Government about a package of financial recovery for Scottish sport.”
  12. It was only a friendly. Let's look at what you could have won.
  13. The last comment from the club re season tickets was on 15th August with 800 sold. Think last year was just over 900. According to stats average home attendance last season was 1838. So would think income would be roughly 50/50. IIRC the football club get nothing from pitch hires. It all goes to SPP. Would also assume less income from advertising.
  14. The aftermath that followed. ROVER 'N' OUT FOR DJ GORDY; Club fire announcer Byline: By Jack Mathieson RAITH ROVERS' stadium announcer says he was sacked - after slagging them off with his playlist. DJ Gordon Adamson played Leave Right Now when Division One's bottom dogs lost again on Saturday. The volunteer put on the Will Young song as the Fife club's fans called for the head of boss Claude Anelka. Then he slapped on Trouble by Pink as he saw directors react with fury. The maintenance worker said: 'I was told my role had been terminated.' Anelka took over as the Kirkcaldy club's director of football in May. On Saturday, his managerless side lost 2-1 to Queen of the South - their ninth defeat this season. Gordon, of Dalgety Bay, insisted humour was a key part of the job. He said: 'Last season, when things were going badly, I got stick for playing Status Quo's Down Down. 'I play I've Got A Brand New Combine Harvester when certain teams visit. But maybe I let my heart rule my head on Saturday.' Club secretary Eric Drysdale denied Gordon had been axed. He said: 'A director was upset with him but that's as far as it went. There's no question of him being sacked. 'I have been trying to contact him all day to clear up any misunderstanding.' PLAY LIST1. Closest Thing to Crazy Katie Melua2. Leave Right Now Will Young 3. Trouble Pink
  15. Probably minimum order on each size. Hopefully another " pre order batch" is on it's way.
  16. If things continue and football does return it maybe along these lines.
  17. Last I knew he was a property surveyor with a local estate agent. That was a couple of years ago.
  18. IIRC it was the compensation that Alloa wanted for Jack Ross that proved to be the stumbling block. Not ITK but would have assumed it to be substantial as Mike Mulraney is a very astute business man. My memory may be wrong.
  19. Just listened to BC interview on Kingdom FM. He thinks we have the backbone of a Championship club with only 3 or 4 players required and also thinks we're not now talking about going into administration but it won't be easy. Good news mibbes aye mibbes naw.
  20. IIRC everyone apart from two personnel have been furloughed. Almost positive that government money is paid June/July but maybe wrong. The administration comment is worrying, considering this is the first time that comment has been made, and hopefully doesn't have a negative effect on the fund raising by the club and the individuals who have been doing what they can. Hopefully BC has been misquoted. Only time will tell.
  21. Listening to Radio Scotland just now. It would appear Dundee, via their secretary, have dropped a bollock. Shades of Queen of the South methinks.
