  1. Listening to The Guardian football podcast & they were discussing Mike Ashley at Newcastle and how he does & says what he wants as he doesn't care what the fans think of him. He knows their dumb fans will buy their season tickets regardless and he basically just laughs at them treating them with complete contempt. These aren't my words , this is what was said on the pod. I can see parallels.
  2. Still can't look at that god awful graphic without thinking someone has chucked all Falkirk landmarks in a skip. So I have added the skip and this will be on all my literature, stationary and merchandise moving forward. Ladies & gentlemen i give you - "Falkirk In A Skip" by HVH.
  3. Said at the time that unless the BOD issue an official statement correcting the accusation and apologizing for what they had claimed then this would then go down as factual. Heard them discussing racism in football on BBC Sportsound & Tom English used Falkirk as an example of racist supporters. No one outside of Falkirk knows it did not happen which is a shocking situation. Above all else this was the BOD's biggest crime for me and a mealy mouthed low key apology from Lang to a handful of people is basically an insult.
  4. I would say it's been designed by a female so that the red logo ties in with the red socks , it's like when they buy a scarf to match their shoes. The "Landmarks In A Skip" graphic is abysmal and should be absolutely nowhere near our strip, sorry.
  5. Come on BPM , you should know EdiBairn's shit-talk by now. He makes these daft statements and when challenged for the evidence to back them up he completely ignores you. That's why no one takes him seriously. Bring back EdiBrain , he had more credibility
  6. Here he goes with this "unpaid volunteers" pish again. He's not even trying to hide it any more. EdiBairn now ramping up the rhetoric for his mates in the MSG & on the BoD to stay in place.
  7. Whatever we were paying him it was way too much. Pseudo hard man that could barely play football. Good riddance, and lets all forget he actually was with us.
  8. Note he doesn't say anything about the current lot going or new owners coming in - merely that "ownership issues resolved ASAP" , which could well mean the status quo. This is the start of it on the back of recent feel good signings. This guy has always been a BOD patsy - I recall his "Margaret is just an unpaid volunteer, leave her alone" mantra from his EdiBairn days.
  9. Great solidarity Bairns in not renewing season tickets at this stage to get these buggers out. Unfortunately EdiBairn, LondonBairn & LatapyBairn have all renewed ..................oh wait that's only one ST.
  10. BREAKING NEWS : I can confirm Craig Campbell & family are now in a safe house (not Denny). Can I please ask all non-threatening Falkirk fans to join me in praying for them. #whatafuckingjoke #statement
  11. Just a thought but do you think with the transfer window about to open and Will Vaulks a certainty to be sold by Rotherham that the BOD are holding out for a probable 7 figure sum to come our way as a result of the move - which would therefore improve the worth of the club and by extension the money they can get for their shares? And that this is the real reason for their constant delays? Cynical old me.
  12. He's obviously good at the Foundation stuff and raising investment in the business world. But who on earth let him decide on the football strategy of the club with no experience, or indeed the day to day running of a football club's affairs - this over and above everything else is what lost him his job as he completely failed at it. The club was relegated to the 3rd tier and the divide between the club and fans has never been greater, and there is no riding that out.
  13. Correct, but the problem is these statements get picked up by the media who report it as fact. If the BOD don't detract or apologize then the mud sticks forever more. I recall Tom English on Radio Scotland quoting a list of examples of fan racism in football and included Falkirk fans for the Dennon Lewis fiasco. I heard Lang admitted they got that wrong at a fans meeting but that's not good enough , it had to be a public statement to correct the one they stupidly rushed to put out with zero evidence. Lang, Campbell & the rest are incompetent - that's not a threat but a fact.
  14. Some questions/observations as a result of that shocking car crash of a statement : Why is MR signing the statements when he recently announced he's had enough & was out? If there was verbal abuse "of a threatening level" & risking "himself & his family" - why is this not a police matter? If No.2 is real and it is a police matter then they should not be commenting on it , they've just made the same mistake again as they did with the jumping the gun racism fake news statement. If Craig Campbell is such a hot shot off the pitch pulling in all that investment, who's decision was it to let him be directly involved in the football strategy where he has no expertise and which clearly got us relegated? The real reason I can see he has gone is that we simply cannot afford a CEO on his wage in League 1, which is obviously a result of our relegation - their fault not ours - yet we get the blame, an absolute disgrace and it displays a complete contempt (and perhaps hatred) of the fans.
  15. We would you look at that - an informative club statement AND AN APOLOGY! Well done Partick Thistle "Kris Doolan was the player whose departure has been most keenly felt by everyone associated with Thistle. I want to address this directly. The Manager made a decision not to offer a contract extension to Kris – as Gary will be judged on the performance of the team, he has to be allowed to make the decision as to who he wants in it. The Board supported that decision. Where we – the Club, not the Manager – got it wrong was in how we handled the timing of making the announcement. There was no intention to be disrespectful to Kris but that’s not how it looked to you or how it felt to him. And for that I apologise unreservedly. Lessons have been learned and we will do better in the future". An acknowledgement they got it wrong and an apology ........and this over one player, albeit a PTFC legend. Imagine if they had dumped a whole academy of kids & staff at Xmas who only found out from the Daily Record, threatened to sue some fans over a copyright that they let run out, publicly condemned some supporter as a racist before any police investigation and then the whole fan base by association, cost the club approx 100K in fines & compensation for a new management team due to their shabby handling of it all - I bet it wouldn't be a wall of silence. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/statement-from-the-chairman-on-the-2018-19-season/
  16. Is everything supposed to be ludicrously out of proportion? The Falkirk Wheel sticking out looks like a giant version of one of those can openers you made at metalwork at school ! And it's also like someone has thrown all of Falkirk's landmarks into a massive skip - how very poetically relevant !
  17. Leeds operated with a small squad last season and frequently had to promote from the U23 squad to replace a horrendous injury list. Bielsa signed only 2 players last summer but took them from a 15th place finish to 3rd in his first season. The prize money if promoted is huge but you don't get that unless you go up and the TV money from Sky in the Championship is really poor compared to the EPL. Unless you have parachute payments from the EPL you have to operate within FFP rules apart from the clubs I mentioned in above post who are either reckless or cheating. Weirdly the 3 best run clubs in terms of income v players wages last season were Norwich , Sheff U & Leeds - & that is how they finished in the league.
  18. The current owner bought back the stadium & the Thorpe Arch training ground. from 3rd parties. I have read he has invested 100M into the club , albeit not really on the playing squad as Leeds now operate within the FFP requirements. Unlike Villa who have a wage bill of 90M and which they will have to drop by 30M if they don't go up , or Derby who are a basket case of a club & their owner bought their stadium off themselves at twice the value to balance the books. The English Championship will be an interesting watch next season now that the FFP is finally being enforced. Swansea , Villa/Derby , Sheff Weds, Birmingham (again) all on dodgy ground.
  19. That 1975 European Cup Final Leeds lost to Bayern Munich was a travesty. The Leeds fans to this day still sing about being "Champions of Europe" and the match referee later admitted to taking a bribe to ensure Bayern won the match. Watch Peter Lorimer's "goal" that was chopped off and the denied penalty for starters of how bent that match was. A bit like Killie's win against us in the '97 match but much, much worse. That was just incompetence but the Leeds match was corrupt. You could also add Leeds getting to the Champions League semi final under David O'Leary - what a team that was! They are miles bigger then Burnley........Jesus!
  20. In 2000 when Leeds signed Rio Ferdinand for 18M it was a British transfer record and the World's most expensive defender. This was before TV money got silly. So close to a World record but not quite to Syd Puddefoot level.
  21. I really don't get it when the Scottish diddy clubs celebrate qualifying for the Europa League as if they have won a trophy. All that ever happens is that they are eliminated after one round to some minnows from Eastern Europe or Benelux (including what happened to us) , way before the actual tournament begins and they actually make a loss from the whole "adventure". Killie will be no different, another on the list of European embarrassments. Good luck though.
  22. Fair point , almost as many as there is Kiwis.
  23. To add to his crime, I just want to point out that this is a double negative.
