Well said mate ️ Exactly what I was thinking. Them games against Ayr & Airdrie at home and away to Morton & Partick they were just ripping teams apart. Mikey even mentions it on Twitter and they pay each other great compliments, It’s so gutting and frustrating we couldn’t t see more as them 2 together for the run in would have been such a huge boost for helping us stay in the Championship. Hylton goes on to say AFC are very lucky to have McKenna us fans should look forward to his return to help climb us back up the table

What’s abody’s thoughts on Hylton’s departure? I am absolutely gutted as thought he was fantastic for us and a very exciting player to watch like in the same way when Bobby Linn got the ball you always expected something to happen when he got the ball ️ Some great performances, Assists and goals (Some crackers) For me it feels a flat way to bow out with what happened in that last game and considering the injury crisis we have. I would have thought he would have wanted to make it up to the fans by helping keep us up, End in style and seek that well deserved full time move away in the Summer.

Judging by the end of the Raith game it certainly looked like Jay & Hylton had made up. I am sure his contract runs until the 27th so depending on his injury the Morton away game would be his last after the Ayr double header ️ From what I’ve been hearing McIntyre has offered him another 6 month deal until the end of the season and views him as a very important player in our bid to retain our Championship status, I certainly would welcome this as he has been fantastic for us aside that infamous incident and would give us such a massive confidence boost as exciting attacking players like him are hard to find. With McKenna back next month would be awesome to see that relationship clicking again If he does move on then it should be too a good quality Championship side/SPL side as he is that good, Would be disappointed and shocked to see him go too someone like Hamilton as that would be such a downgrade for someone of his quality. Fingers crossed he stays as would be a sad way to bow out after what happened and the injury, Would love to see him bow out on a high, Help Keep us in the Championship and get his big Full Time move in the Summer to a decent club.

️ I am positive it will all come good again once the injured players start to return week by week and we add to the squad but as @1320Lichtiesaid it’s these next 6 games that will go a long way to shaping and defining our season. We have just played the top 3 in the space of a week during a tough time but from next week we go again against the teams around us ️ Huge double header Vrs a struggling Ayr side so that is massive. Raith Vrs United for the Title Partick in limbo 4th-10th Could finish in any combination When we have our full team back we are more than capable of beating anyone in this league so we just need to stop panicking and keep the faith as I have seen enough from Jim and the way we are playing to see we can definitely stay up ️ It’s a real shame as this huge injury list is so unprecedented and making his job even tougher so that’s why it’s so important we keep the faith and don’t give up hope yet.

Yeah I am just hoping Big Jim can convince him to stay until the end of the Season ️ Obviously Saturday’s incident was unacceptable and disappointing but at the end of the day it’s ironically mainly because of them 2 we still find ourselves in a great position to kick on in 2024 under the new era and achieve our main objectives set out by the board. Ultimately Jim will have his own views and plans and players he wants to bring in so we will just have to see what happens.

Hopefully if him and Bird can settle their differences he will be with us until the end of the season then look for a Full time club in the Summer as he has been a massive player for us and so influential. He was building up such an awesome partnership with McKenna so when he is back in February that can start clicking again ️

Not even 2 months ago we absolutely battered and dominated Thistle. 3-0 going on 5 or 6 that day in what was arguably our performance of the season so far. They had no clue how to handle us yet yesterday we do the complete opposite and make them look half decent. Yesterday for me was a carbon copy of the Inverness game. If you don’t defend properly and you give away cheap goals no matter how good your midfield or attacking players are you will really struggle to win a football match. We seem to be a lot better on the road these days and the atmosphere is much better also which is a bit worrying for our Home Form and Season ticket holders. It’s maybe a blessing in disguise the next 5 are away from home ️

Long term bud I have absolutely no doubt it will be Stewart Petrie ️ Wouldn't be surprised if both clubs already have a gentleman’s agreement on it

Fantastic character shown by us today which I feel will stand us in great stead for the rest of the season. We have been magnificent of late so despite gifting them a 3-0 head start with the exciting quality we have I felt it was never over and we fully deserved at least a point in the end. Night and day from last season where we would have simply lost 3-0 and went out on a whimper. This team for me is on par with the team of 2 years ago and today it reminded me of that 3-3 comeback against Raith from that same Season. Today though despite playing really well we just gave ourselves too much to do in the end after 3 uncharacteristic defensive errors. Onwards & upwards as they say it’s going to be another rollercoaster of a season ️

Should be a very exciting game between 2 excellent teams who like to play great football and who are both on a great run Up until last season similar to Morton we had a superb record against Thistle which for me was a fantastic achievement as for me they have always been a top of the championship/premiership team. I would possibly go as far as to say they could easily win the league this year as imo are much better than United and a swindling Queens Park outfit. Partick fans have always been complimentary about Arbroath and always have good respectful things to say about us so they will always have my vote This represents our toughest challenge to date though so would be fantastic to get something here and the way we have been playing I am confident we can ️
