Norn Iron bow out of the Women’s Euro 2022 tournament. A spirited effort but going down to a strong English side. Some impressive finishing from the ‘Lionesses’ , racing into a 4-0 lead. Kelsie Burrows with an unfortunate own goal, diverting a low cross over the stranded Jackie Burns completing a 5-0 scoreline for the home side in Southampton. Still a number of positives to take out of their tournament performances however; for a side that only went full time together at the start of this year.

Disappointing after the first legs, but still 2 teams left in Europe.
Credit to Linfield coming through that, honestly thought they might come unstuck over 2 legs against TNS.
A different prospect all together next week I guess in FK Bodo/Glimt, comfortable winners over Celtic in both games; in last season’s ECL.
First leg at Windsor next Tuesday 19th @19:30.0 -
Decent fee for Bassey (if that’s correct), perhaps due to Ajax being a club that don’t usually agree to sell on clauses. Shame to lose a player like that from the game up here, but almost inevitable after the season he had last term. He’ll do well there, no question.

Crus’ through in the Conference League but Cliftonville and Larne both stumble and fall.

Some strike that, from Jamie Mulgrew!

Love the Motherwell home top. Bradford City (Bobby Campbell) late 70’s early 80’s.

Naked greed continues to blight the modern game. Despite returning to the riches of the English Premiership, Fulham FC have set their Category (A) game ticket prices at £100.00. How can an ordinary working family afford that ffs!!?[emoji15]

Cliftonville lost, too, 2-1 to DAC. I suppose all 4 have a chance of progressing if they don't do anything stupid in the home leg.
Crus also going down 2-1 in Gibraltar to Bruno’s Magpies ( what a great name). Jordan Forsythe pulling one back after trailing 2-0. Something to take back to the Shore Road next Thursday.

NI Women 2 down already to Norway.
Went down 1-4 to the Norwegians, a side with pace and control right across the park. Still an enjoyable watch and a cracking turnout/support over in Southampton!

Carrick Rangers sign Larne midfielder Andrew Mitchell on loan for 12 months. Happy with that COYA!

Disappointing for the Blues but not a disaster, sounded like a deserved win for the home side though. Larne drew 0-0 out in Gibraltar.

European action - Linfield are off to Shropshire to play The New Saints in their Champions League first leg qualifier.
Declan McManus (TNS) will be a familiar name to some Scottish fans having played for 8 different clubs before heading south.
The Oswestry side will make it a tough gig for Linfield tonight, a draw would be very decent to take back to Windsor on the 13th.0 -

Just seen the catch that dismissed Kohli. That’s outrageous from Root.
Great anticipation and reflexes or a lack of confidence in Billings taking it cleanly!?[emoji23]0 -

Really enjoyed the first two days with hopefully some cracking golf to come this weekend. Even St Andrew’s blighted by these f*ckin ars*holes with their inane screaming off the tee though, and ‘get in the hole’ shouts on the green. Everyone enjoys a good crowd atmosphere, but do we really have to put up with this shite, mainly imported from ‘over the pond’.
