  1. Coming from you... priceless. Seeing your racist mate this weekend ? See how that association works out for you. Chump
  2. Continually ... I've contacted them once to alert them to your racist mates post - and twice after that to query their lack of action. 3 posts in about 15 years ! and how would you know this ? ... unless they came running to you ( a total breach of confidence on their part) and you in turn have busted the .org mods for what they are. Excellent Bob.
  3. and you're allowing your beef to spill over onto this forum now. Get it to f**k... nobody on here is interested. Or are you too thick to realise that. Ripped apart by Toby btw... savaged by a dead sheep indeed...
  4. Absolutely. Largston and his mates, with the assistance of their 'sock puppet accounts' have pretty much ruined Morton.org with this pish. And now he's started on here. It must be one of the only football forums on Scotland where blatantly racist posts can go unpunished (Largston's mate being a regular offender) . Not long before there is some external scrutiny of that cesspit.
  5. Again he's another who has his sights set higher, but the evidence so far is that he can run riot at League one level - as he did for us, but he's not proven at a higher level
  6. Can understand the lack of enthusiasm for Bollan. I wonder how the paper can report he's the 'front runner' ? Who the feck could be trailing behind him ? (Dick Campbell seems to be a non runner ) I think i'd be happier to see Danny Lennon as one of the favourites - but he'd be reluctant to apply if he's already been passed over (twice ? As I've mentioned in a previous post -managers are a bit of a lottery...maybe Bollan would do just fine for you. On the subject of players who'd do a job in league one... I was thinking that Lawrence Shankland would probably do very well. He obviously has higher aspirations but he's already failed to impress at St Mirren and Morton. I think there's a very good L1 player in there and if he can motivate himself - who knows ? He could yet end up at Dumbarton or another championship side and would no doubt come back to haunt us
  7. You don't sound like a supercilious wee dick, much. While you maybe watching from the 'box seats' now, you don't seem to recall us being perilously close to being out of the game altogether , then scrambling about the third division (not to mention getting pumped by 5/6 goals off 'shan' outfits such as Ayr Utd) For one so interested in history, I'd have thought you'd be more wary of grave dancing. and for the record, I'm not on the verge of tears (or scrambling for fkn relevance)
  8. Agree with Dunning about Scullion -although he should have gone earlier (when Duffy clearly had no intention of giving him game time) But I wish him well and would be very interested to see how he goes if given a genuine chance.
  9. Can understand the fans anger there really. Fair enough bb - I've only read the last hundred pages or so I still believe that getting a manager isn't an exact science unless he the candidate has outed himself like yogi.
  10. While Locke and Hughes appointments bow look like terrible business by Drysdale (I don't know much else about his stewardship tbh) Was there much of an outcry or scepticism on the part of the fans at the time, and before it all went 'tits' ? I ask this because Dougie Rae at Morton has been slammed for the managers he employed and their subsequent underperforming/ failure. On the face of it none of them attracted much criticism at the time (oddly enough I believe Duffy might have been the most controversial signing for some fans - and it took him some time to get their backing) My point is that managerial appointments are a bit of a lottery ( many thought Murray looked like a good appointment at St Mirren eg) and we fans all have 20/20 hindsight. I'm not defending Drysdale btw and Yogi has done himself no favours to say the least. I do hope that you get lucky with your next appointment - and the least you can hope for is a 'man manager' who doesn't burn the players publicly when things aren't working.
  11. He's literally feckin everywhere, is Tam O'Ware. Maybe we should do a song
  12. I think McCluskey is a decent acquisition for any league 1 team. His attitude on the park is all that counts... he's a grafter who should get a few goals for Alloa.
  13. Fairly optimistic about this. He'll be playing in a much better team and get better service. A wee sprinkling of the magic' Duffydust' and the boy will do fine at Scapa. Good signing imo.
  14. I think it's a big ask to get anything at Tannadice. Recently St Mirren and Raith games have been barren ground for us. Throw in Queens and Falkirk games too I would hope we could get something from Ayr at Scapa... but we know that they're not an easy option either. I'm probably being a knickerwetter but I believe we're doooomed !
  15. While I'm enjoying the Cup run etc, I'm struggling to see how we'll cope with our forthcoming league games. I don't think I'm a pessimist by nature but I doubt we have the depth/ experience/quality to gather enough points to keep us away from the danger zone. So in fairness, I think it's inevitable that Dougie and JD will become the focus of attention in the coming weeks/months. I hope i'm wrong... but we need to strengthen to survive.
  16. Tam is a fans favourite imo... and he's potentially alienating himself on the basis of a few fannies in the support. As Alibi suggests ...by supporting Morton we have mainly rejected any association with the OF and their sectarian baggage. Like all supports - we have our quota of roasters... no more or less than any other team in Scotland. If you want to tar us all with the same brush Tam, carry on son - but you will be the eventual loser. I give you this advice because you are still one of my favourite players and will always support you when wearing the real hoops.
  17. What a difference a couple of games makes. Just when you think Duffy is potentially fighting for his job (despite the chairmans ringing endorsement after the Ayr game) He comes up with a league win and continues our remarkable League Cup campaign. I know that Dunfermline and Dundee Utd are in poor shape just now but the results came at the right time for JD. I still think he has it all to do in the league and that we have a threadbare/inexperienced squad who could struggle in the upcoming fixtures. Gunning looks like a very good signing who, despite only being 25 could have a strong influence on the team. Good luck to us over the next couple of weeks. I think we're going to need it.
  18. Actually, quite a lot of us like Duffy as a person and would be happy to see him succeed however the 'no defeats' argument isn't going to cut it in this (or any other league) We need wins and we've got none, having played mainly bottom end teams. The upcoming fixtures don't look promising (to say the least) We'll have to wait and see how long Dougie is prepared to wait n see. He's slow to pull the trigger, so JD doesn't have to worry too much just now. But please allow the rest of us to do so
  19. The fact that he couldn't tempt any of these players to stay at the club and got so many knockbacks (did he really say 15 strikers ) indicates to me that there was a lack of financial commitment/ambition on the part of the club. They can come out and say we bid for Denny/Luca etc but if the terms weren't competitive then they were wasting their time (and ours ,it appears) I'm not sure if 'the brothers' largesse has been evident recently. My own view is that they are keeping their powder dry and letting nature take it's course. As I said previously , I seriously doubt that Duffy is sitting on a chest of money, having decided to gamble with the young team playing (and no established striker) He just isn't that stupid. I actually feel a bit sorry for Duffy but as manager, it's his head that's going to roll.
  20. Aye, it's a pity that the new media friendly Morton occurs at a time of slow news/no news days. ... haud the front page... the kitman's been called up for Scotland. The only hope is that the winds of change are beginning to take effect at Scapa. As things stand -it's all rather dull.
