  1. Yorks average attendance last season was just over 5000. If challenging at the top I would expect that to rise to around 7000. The owners are aiming for the championship which is doable given the size of the city these days.
  2. I’ve been on the forum a long time, come from Yorkshire originally so keep in touch, and don’t make things up. It is from a reliable source who has been right about every other signing and stated he’s having a medical today but I don’t work for the club. It’s up to everyone to believe it or not but time will tell.
  3. Yep, new billionaire owners. Already paid money for four players this summer including a six figure fee. Said to be another six figure fee. Have also put in a big money offer for Andrew Dallas. It’s from a credible source.
  4. Well if they want to waste money on an appeal they have no chance of winning.
  5. Looking at that I’m going to say the outrage was slightly over the top a bit like the challenge.
  6. Anyone that’s watched VAR in operation down south should not be surprised at the red card, as I mentioned in another post and as you point out players should remove their arms because if a ball is kicked against one it’s going to be a penalty if in the area. Football is no longer a contact sport and we are going to see many further red cards we would not have seen in the past. The rage is going to hit new levels but it won’t change a thing.
  7. It is what it is, you can rage away all you like it’s not going to change anything. VAR will change football up here the same way it has down south, you can’t tackle, defenders can’t have arms, you’re offside by a centimetre.
  8. Not sure why there is so much outrage over the red card, football is no longer a contact sport, it’s been like that for a good while. The decision was correct by the letter of the law in the modern game which is why it stood after review, an appeal would be pointless. People might not like it but that’s the way it is.
  9. It’s Tony “I came for the football” Watt, who cares.
  10. Surely the reason is that County are a small club with a limited catchment area. Not having a go here but it’s a club playing a level high than it’s natural level that’s been well funded.
  11. The thing I hated most about Alexander was trying to shut up shop and hang on when we scored a goal and seeing that as sustainable.
  12. Sadly that applies to everyone outside the old firm these days. Let’s not kid ourselves anyone else is making a difference.
