  1. If we Lose to Killie next weekend there will be no prelimanry f**k all for you. Nice send off for Jordan Jones.
  2. What is embarrassing is someone who never attends Ibrox preaching to those that do. Song book was perfectly acceptable. The noise when we sang Derrys Walls ... unbelievbale Rangers support were excellent today as were the Celtic fans. Backed their teams 100% for going on 90 minutes.
  3. You looked FlyBhoy. I know you looked What a difference it makes to the atmosphere having only 800 (still too many) Celtic supporters in the stadium A-L-T-O-G-E-T-H-E-R......... N-O-W.................................. Loudest i have heard in any football stadium in many many years.
  4. 6'3'' and 14 stone is not overweight. He ll see me not problem. Remember second stairway in from the Main Stand. You know you ll be looking up when we score. Build up has been pretty tame for this one but certainly feeling it now
  5. Cheers for the £49. When we score the winner just look up to the Copland rear. Very top of the second stairway in from the Main Stand side. That big guy dancing about is me.
  6. Really? I think that might be true among the more 'sensible' Celtic supporters but Lawwell is more interested in appeasing the more 'traditional' Celtic supporters. Lennon ticks all the boxes, Irish , Roman Catholic, Republican, and will be on at best half what Rodgers was getting. That might not be what you want to hear or believe but from the outside looking in it looks like a done deal to me. Now if Rangers were to pump Celtic heavily today (unlikely) or if Hearts win the Scottish Cup (unlikely) then there might be a rethink.
  7. Souness had a choice as manager. He had to split up Derek Ferguson and Ian Durrant as they were as bad as each other. Derek Ferguson openly admits Souness made the correct call in keeping Ian Durrant and letting him go. Fergie had a similar choice at United with Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs. Fergie ditched the promising Lee Sharpe and kept Giggs who went on to be one of the greatest ever United players Both managers made the correct call
  8. Of course i have a great deal of sympathy for John Kennedy but you simply cannot compare the two. JK never showed anywhere near the same potential as Durrant. They were light years apart in terms of that. I met Durrant in the District Bar* one day. He was wearing a pair of shorts and you could see the marks left by the surgery. He has scars from ankle to the top of his leg on both sides of his leg. They must have had to open the whole leg up. I believe Durrant was one of the first to have this kind of surgery * The District is not one of my usual pre / post match haunts. Shit hole of a pub that attracts the worst of the more traditional Rangers support
  9. Alex McLeish won the domestic treble while making a profit in the transfer market and slashing Rangers wage bill. Manager of the year went to free spending Martin O Neil whose Celtic team won the square root of f**k all that season. POTY went to Larsson that season who also won absolutely nothing on the field. Walter Smith won a domestic treble yet manager of the year went a lower league manager that season. Possibly Raith Rovers manager?? These awards are not relatively meaningless as i generously said in earlier post. They are absolutely meaningless
  10. And the season is not over yet. Still time for it to be surpassed.
  11. John Collins only won 1 Scottish Cup with Celtic? I find that incredible considering the team he played in Anyway Durrants trophy haul far outshines the mediocre career (according to Wiki) that Collins had. Becoming a first team regular at Rangers is far more difficult than becoming a first team regular at Hibs Was Collins debut goal against Bulgaria? Only Scotland game i have actually attended and i am sure he scored from a Brian McLair cross. Me and my mate left shortly after that and went for a pint. As far as PFA awards go . Listening to the phone in i was reminded Mark Fucking Warburton and his magic hat won Manager of the year so i wouldn't put too much value on those relatively meaning less awards ETA...As you say above this is only my opinion and it is not fact. You are entitled to believe John Collins , Kevin Thomson or even Ian Murray were better young players than Ian Durrant. It is all about opinions....
  12. If he wasn't at Ibrox i don't see that being much of an issue
  13. Souness is without doubt one of the best Scottish players of my lifetime. Hard as nails and could be a dirty b*****d at times. Hurlock was a thug. A completely talentless thug. Graham Roberts was a bully and a thug. Gregor Stevens was another thug who i had no time for. Pretty sure he was given a 6 month ban for breaking a players leg in a 'Friendly'. Kilmarnock player maybe? Willie Johnstone suffered from the most severe case of 'Wee man syndrome' and his stamp on John McMaster at Aberdeen is probably the most cowardly assault i have seen from a Rangers player. I would have been happy if he had never kicked another ball for Rangers after that. No revisionism at all. I will call out any Rangers player who lets themselves down. John Collins was a very good player but that is never going to change the fact that Durrant was the best young player this country has produced in many many years. The fact he came back to have the career he did shows what a player he was and could have been so much better
  14. 'Better than average' 'Paul McStay' 'Decent career'. I take it you never actually saw the young pre injury Durrant play? By quite some considerable distance the best young player i have seen in Scottish football. It could be argued that his injury was the only reason he stayed at Rangers as he was destined to go right to the top of the game but alas some below average hammer thrower brought his career to a shuddering stop. It's OK disliking Durrant. It's perfectly understandable to actually hate Rangers Football Club but what is not OK is to try and make light or justify taunting a 'challenge' where a player has deliberately set out to seriously injure another fellow professional. It was sickening regardless of who the player was or which team he played for.
  15. As meaningless an Old Firm game as i can remember. Rangers win and win convincingly then Celtic may look elsewhere for a manager and that is something we certainly don't want happening. I cant see Rangers being allowed to get overly physical the way they did before the winter break when we were right in their faces.
  16. Magee, replace the name Durrant with Kennedy & you can see the point that is being made. Durrant was never the same player after that assault, even when he was doing well for us he was always at 80% Or Jim Duffy. I was there the day he done himself. He was a very under rated player and it was terrible that his career was cut short
  17. I am not offended in the slightest. Your post does make you look like a raging Tit though
  18. He was never the same player after that challenge. Anybody that mocks a player after being injured like that , regardless of who they are or who they play for , is simply not a football fan and has obviously never played the game before.
  19. There is a poster on here who's user name is 'Durrantskneeisjelly' and you don't bat an eyelid yet have a go at some imaginary bigotry. I am taking it you are Scottish and support the Scottish International football team? That user is mocking an injury that robbed this country of one of its finest players in years. Of course this is acceptable as long as he doesn't mention religion or race. FFS!
  20. Doddos are extinct. I ll let another fill in the obvious 'Joke' You are nothing if not entertaining
  21. Not easy to get tickets to see Rangers these days and still a waiting list for season tickets.
