  1. Obviously gutted by the result and how it unfolded. Strangely happy by the performance. Guess that's the capability you get to win games at the death with the players you have available and the money you can spend. Both beat us I know but Rangers and Celtic fans must be capable of being honest enough to admit, by their expectations and standards, that they are both incredibly poor teams at the moment.
  2. Another game leaving feeling positive but gutted at the same time. Boys so deserved something today with the effort and skill they put into the game. Such poor rangers and Celtic team's so should have taken something from both games. Hope the person in the Cooper that was being given CPR is ok, so sorry to see that and them being ok the only thing that matters tonight.
  3. Totally, we've all done it mate but sometimes a bit of radio silence is good for all concerned.
  4. Mental how this has evolved following a dodgy tackle in a cup game. Never really thought about or cared about St.Mirren in any shape or form. Just felt they were a similar club to our own, existing in a town/city on the periphery of Glasgow with fans with the ability to not fall into the usual following of the old firm. Hopefully it will go back to that soon enough, as it's getting more than a bit dull now.
  5. Fair play to St.Mirren. No real complaints, you can claim to be the better team, or play the better football but there is only one stat that really matters... Strange feeling losing a game but not feeling too dispondant, and I'm actually looking forward to the rest of the season and getting our first choice 11 starting once they are all back from injury as see what this team are fully capable of. As others have said very similar to the make up of the team and style of play we witnessed under Robinson. He took us to two cup finals. So he definitely is doing something right and will have learned from previous mistakes, as all decent managers should do. Really liked Robinson and was sorry to see him go, but had ran out of ideas so was best for both parties, and I felt he left in the best possible terms. Enjoy the ride. Doesn't happen to clubs like ours too often or last very long, the realist's amoungst us are always aware that it is only a matter of time until normal service is resumed.
  6. Used to play in goals at the old Watsonvile blaes park where the new ASDA is. Nothing like diving about on a frozen near concrete surface, the pain of the toed ball getting smacked off of you, and to add to the experience staving your finger trying to catch the fucker mouldmaster when it was fired at you. Yeah good times....Watsonville also had a nice sprinkling of smashed buckie bottles to avoid as well. Scrubbling out of the grazes was essential given that combo afterwards.
  7. I guess like any one of us in our working life's you gain experience, learn from your mistakes and put that into practice when given another opportunity. Think the big thing has been him coming into the club at a fortunate time for us and being readiliy available to take over from Hammell when he had us in freefall. Kettlewell would at least have been aware of what we had, what the issues were and have enought managerial experience to know in his own mind how he might fix it rather than someone else coming in cold.
  8. Seems like the latest diversionary tactic from a dead desperate Tory Westminster government imo.
  9. Absolutely love that you are on another match thread and you're still obsessed with us.
  10. Yeah the challenge where he goes in on the defender, fouls him, and knackers himself at the same time the ref awarding a foul to the defender. Possibly the worst example of whataboutery on here for a while.
  11. Well we did have another forward option.... Hopefully he has some other options up his sleeve but can't really see where they are going to come from and not sure many clubs are going to be keen to loan someone to us given what happened to the last one. But agree we are in an incredibly poor position especially up front with around 50% of our new signings crocked, no big surprise given the injury record of some of our signings. But hey I don't want you guys losing too much sleep or worrying about us too much.
  12. Agree, he'll go back to what worked in the first game and what worked last season. Minus any real forward threat to come off the bench since Mika has been crocked. Mad how your optimism can go backwards so much following one poor game. In my book SK was entitled to try something a bit different in this game with the league, and remaining in it, being the main focus. As it is every year, at least at the start of the season. He hasn't done much wrong so far so still have massive faith in the guy. Time for the forwards we have to step up and also to get some pace back in the team especially with the full backs. Hopefully he is still looking to get some others in as well, especially a body to replace Mika. I'm guessing that he will go back to his parent club to recover?
  13. St Mirren thread is a touch entertaining, incredibly rattled and obsessed.
  14. St Mirren fans are going out of their way to defend Dunne in order to not be labelled/linked with being "that" type of team. Which I don't think they are to be clear. But Dunne knows exactly what he is doing no editing of the tackle is going to make that any different. He gets away with it with only a booking we have our most potent striker out for months by the looks of it. If they shoe was on the other foot they would rightly be feckin raging, forgive us while we are rightly feckin raging.
  15. If only he had tackled him in slow motion he might not be out for months.
  16. Agree with you here, his focus will be the league and he has to be able to try something different and introduce some of the new guys at some point and this was it. Didn't work out so will have infomed him in competitive game what he needs to work on. Just had to happen in front of an incredible away support. I always get the fears when we take a big support to an away cup game.
