  1.

When you consider where we were at the start of the season. I remember walking out the Hamilton game thinking we were well and truly back and ready to take on all comers!

Fast forward not even 9 months and I fear for the future.

The clubs only method of communication now appears to be Diamond Dave intermittently posting on here (apologies Dave if I’m wrongly assuming you have links to the club).

  2. It seems the Supporters Trust board contacted a journalist from a local newspaper and tried to get him to do a hatchet job on the club.  The club were tipped off hence the reason a line has been drawn here with the ST.  I'd do the exact same. How can the club work with a a group who are trying to trash it in the media? If this is proven to be the case (and I believe it can be) then the Supporters Trust board need to have a serious look at themselves and resignations should follow.
Idiotic doesn't even begin to cover it.

This is a big allegation to be making against a Trust who have always done right by the club in my eyes. Can I ask how you are so certain it can be proven? Do you have inside information? It’s certainly written as if you do.

The club have been absolutely silent on a number of things since the exodus began. Looking at the statement made at the time of the consortium taking over (which was on Facebook last night), at least(?) half of those listed have moved on. I find it hard to believe that all those gone are somehow in the wrong while the few that are left are completely in the right. The numbers are too alarming for that to be the case. And the ongoing (visible to all) situation with the club and Trust seems to be reflective of the conflict we’ve seen happen in the Board room and of how things are handled.

This is a worrying situation we find ourselves in. The season will likely be put to be bed on the park at the weekend (at both ends of the table), I dread to think how many home supporters will be there to see us play in the last home game of the season. None of this is great timing with season tickets needing sold shortly.

  3. Confirmed on Facebook that our Commercial Manager has departed. Dougy has left big shoes to fill.

My concern would be how many sponsors are there because of him. It doesn’t look like Mr Hetherington makes a lot of friends far less keeps any. Carrying a substantial wage bill, due to the sh1te we have signed on longer term deals and can’t get rid of, into next season without maintaining our existing income could be an issue I’d imagine.

Of course let’s wait and and see what happens. The mention though that part of the reason is down to his involvement with the Supporters Trust is a worry though. Sounds like the club are drawing a line here (which ties in with binning Back Onside as the charity partner to go with their own one... well, themselves effectively!)

  4. A win would have saved us from automatic relegation with 9 points left to play for Next three games Can't see it!
A real prospect now is either automatic relegation (which they richly deserve) or a play off they can'twin.

Brechin and Stenhousemuir play each other the last game of the season and as both have a much worse goal difference than us (would need a 17 or 25 goal swing) we won’t get automatically relegated.

Can’t rule a relegation play off out yet however the chances of either of them winning their 3 remaining games are slim regardless of what we do. Seasons over for me.
  5. Anybody hear any rumours on Saturday about Stuart Millar being appointed Director of Football? It was being talked about at half time. I think he’s been in a similar role at Stranraer until recently (also an ex-player).

With a full time manager already in place, not sure how it’ll work at a club our size. If true, I’m sure the club will be forthcoming with a communication shortly (as ever...)

  6. It’s clear Murray is hampered by what he’s inherited . He doesn’t have the players to rip it up and start again so has settled for making us hard to score against with the hope of nicking a goal or two where we can. Having said that, the players are underperforming for me. They’re obviously not great but some of the displays since the Celtic game (and the run we were on before that) have been embarrassingly bad.
