No way that both HL and LL champions should ever win straight promotion - say all the best teams end up in LL and it’s standard is higher than HL then that would not be equitable.  You would need surely either 1st LL v 2nd H L and 2nd LL v 1st HL play offs to produce two winners or better still a group competition between all 4.  Either that or Tier 5 becomes a National League

It’s not equitable at the moment? How many teams in the pyramid  are vying to get into the LL compared to the HL? We now also nearly had a scenario which would have seen Brechin come to the LL. There is no equity about it, the LL will have all the best teams in it shortly.

That’s fair enough but The Rose were still in with a chance of winning the League.

The club awarded the League still had to play away to BSC who held them to a draw in Fife, home to Cumbernauld Colts the only team to beat them in the League this season, and also had to come and visit NDP.  Can’t help but think it’s an unjust decision. If The Rose were unable to win the League  when play was suspended then I would not have had a problem.

    C’mon The Rose

It’s not the pools panel mate.

This is the worry - it's abundantly clear some teams still clearly DON'T want to move, and things may have been better had there been some sort of rump West Region for those teams to remain in.

With 63 teams to take into consideration, it's clear that one size does not fit all, and it may have been better if the new league had been comprised of willing and enthusiastic entrants without a substratum of clubs who will have to all intents and purposes been dragged there by their heels.

As far as I can see this has been the issue with the SJFA’s stance here. I could be wrong, but the new league was set up on an application basis to allow only the teams who wanted to move the opportunity, and allow teams who wanted to stay that chance as well? However, the “all in or nothing at all” approach has sent out the wrong message in my opinion.

Yip, the post you have deleted was pretty much word for word the same as the text I received earlier buddy. Wasn’t from him though. Burnie man posted on another thread somebody else saying there is no promotion or relegation. Must say probably wishful thinking on his part.

Yeah was sent the screenshot,  and realised I was duplicating what you had. Seems to have a bit of legs this one.

Been told from a reliable source that Scottish football will stop until September. League standings will be final, there will  be no closed door games due to Insurance’s not covering the risks of catching the virus from playing. The league cup will not run next season but the Scottish cup will start in September.

Yip, everyone has read Gavin Wallace on Twitter tonight. 😀

Your right Burnie Man. Maybe missed out on the full meaning of your post. Apologies!!! Maybe it's, because I'm no posting on here 8 to 12 hours every day you like you ya sad individual emoji849.png

Who are you comment on any individual, or how long they spend on here? You don’t ken their circumstances or what their life is like.

Regardless, everything should be kept civil.

John Sludden was a great manager, great guy but was told that if there was a player he wanted, not to worry about the cost, just to ask our sponsor and the money would be sorted out. He never did ask for finances, though so didn't help himself.

Maybe not a bad policy when you look at what we have spent the money on this year. Admittedly some good signings, but some horrific ones as well.

Who has done a better job at the shire in recent history?

The fact we made a final was special. We are not worldbeaters. We are not Brazil. Get your expectations in order please

Sludden was a far superior manager, and if he had the resources these 2 have had, would have made a better job of it.

Whilst Andy will rightly be looked upon as a club legend, he should be nowhere near the dugout in a managerial sense.

i have loved Del both as a player and a manager (less so), but he is dragged down by Andy’s antics.

They have a hugely lower chance of getting it playing football than in their workplace, on the train or bus, in a pub or in a cinema, none of which are being shut down.

It's worth noting that the SFA have taken this decision without any expert advice and not on the advice of the governments. They've done it in response to public clamour.

Yeah, we all read Twitter bud.

I assume you'll be picketing your local pub for staying open at this time of national crisis?

As long as they have toilet rolls I will stand by them. As Tammy Wynette said “stand by your pan”

This recent situation is a temporary blip, the progress made by  Kelty Hearts and the excellent investments made by the management of the club will reap great rewards into the future. Deans vision and commitment is unrivalled and I’m sure he and the club will reap great rewards. Well done guys, just be patient and it will all come right.

Great to hear from you Dean. 😂
