  1. We’d be as well locking the doors if we’re going to go down that road. We should be doing everything possible to get navk up at the first attempt. Very few part time players are going to be of the quality required and a club with out support shouldn’t need to resort to it.
  2. We don’t need 3 centre halfs who won’t be required for the majority of the game. It will rightly be a 4 man defence next season.
  3. Passion is good if it’s backed up by quality. We’d be as well getting 11 guys out the stand to play if it’s our only measure for players.
  4. Probably similar to Mitchell and Ray is looking to see if he can get better quality in before offering him a deal. I’d be quite happy to see him go. He can’t play at left back and hopefully we can get better for left wing.
  5. And yet Lewis Kidd already horsed despite the uncertainty eh..... He’s signed a pre contract elsewhere I believe
  6. I think withholding ST money at this stage is only harming the club. The board are clearly open to offers and negotiations are ongoing but they can’t just ‘resign’ which some people are wanting until that is sorted. All a boycott of season tickets will do is mean we have poorer quality players next season and less budget for any new owner to work with.
  7. Disappointing if it’s been handled poorly and bizarre that he wasn’t on the release list issued. But in all honesty, I’d have been disappointed to have him as first choice next season. Played alright for 2 games under Alex Smith and then seemed to become better the longer he didn’t play. Wasn’t much better than Fasan in terms of mistakes.
  8. In all honesty, I don’t think there’s any statement in the world the board could make that would satisfy some supporters short of resignation(which isn’t possible when there is no buyer). But I’m not sure why an unpaid volunteer seems to be taking all the flak when we have a paid CEO getting off Scot free.
  9. We produced a maximum of 7 or 8 first team players in 10 years when we had a leading academy. How many were we going to produce with a downsized version that wouldn’t attract the same players? Very few would be my guess.
  10. I actually think season ticket sales won’t be affected that much if the signings are alright. There will be 100 or so who won’t renew due to the ownership situation but the majority will prioritise supporting the team IMO. Craig Campbell will be the individual who will put many off, so hopefully he’ll be off.
  11. The fan ownership proposal isn’t designed to buy the whole club
  12. Hopefully he can start by contributing his wage towards it then
  13. There are people in any industry who are better at their job than others you could bring in. It’s like saying any footballer you sign with x years experience will be just as good as any other.
  14. Kieran Koszary has completely transformed the commercial operation at the club from quite frankly a disaster to bringing in significant sums. It doesn’t matter whether we’re advertising Pepe’s chicken or Lamborghini, it’s money coming in to the club. It will be difficult to keep him but to suggest he should be ‘ripped out’ is bonkers when he brings in far more than he costs.
  15. I believe he’s already signed elsewhere. Not everyone who hasn’t been named will be offered a new deal- McKee surely won’t be.
  16. The Herald saying a further statement is expected shortly. Probably an update on the American takeover. Staff like Craig Campbell and Kieran Koszary will also be away I suspect.
  17. Bringing in part time Arbroath players as a ‘quick fix’ is the last thing we should be doing. Changing the whole squad every 6 months doesn’t work and has to stop. We need to be looking to bring in players who are capable of developing and competing in the championship next year, augmented by some more experienced faces.
  18. Who the vast majority of fans wanted at the time and had a good track record.
  19. It’s 99.9% Hartley’s fault. How a team does on the pitch is largely up to the quality of players signed. He signed 16 and not a single one is good enough. The board have made decisions(like appointing him) that were wrong in hindsight and Mackinnon’s tactics have been negative(largely due to a lack of quality) but the buck has to stop with him for signing so many players and every one being miles below the level required. People can say the board shouldn’t have sanctioned it or whatever but there’d have been rightful uproar if Margaret Lang and Craig Campbell had said ‘no, you can’t have the captain of the Chelsea under 21 team’.
  20. None of them that we'll though 115 appearances in the championship would beg to differ. He’ll go to Ayr to replace Smith IMO
  21. That was the maximum figure that would have been achieved with every single add on like 50 first team appearances, international caps, Norwich winning the champions league, 1000 league goals etc which were never met. The actual transfer fee was nothing like £1 million.
  22. I’m purely going off the rumour that the clause is 25% and the figures suggested for sales at the time. If we say Fulton, McGrandles and Kingsley went for around £400,000 each which is probably generous, you then have Gallagher for a rumoured £200k and Biabi and Blair probably less.
  23. Kidd will be playing championship football next season if he doesn’t sign for us. He also has the advantage of playing 3 positions.
