  1. Maybe hes not an idiot per se. He comes across as one when he speaks about the football side. Have Dallison and Harrison shown us what they’re made of after all the reactionary shite yet?
  2. League 1 has 7 subs, the same as the championship
  3. The MSG won’t be making anything from the sale
  4. We will have 7 subs available for the first league game
  5. The Board have given Ray a substantial budget, including personal funds. Ray was given a choice of signing 18 average players or 10 quality ones, and he’s rightly taken the quality route.
  6. The BoD can’t publicly broadcast details of confidential negotiations that are ongoing with multiple parties as they are commercially sensitive.
  7. Yeah its almost like he is trying to make things fit a narrative eh.... What I’m saying is that even if Livingston brought 500(which they didn’t), the attendance is exactly the same as last year.
  8. No, ideally the BoD would have informed them directly. However, I’m not sure why the fans group seem to believe they were entitled to exclusivity when they weren’t told that.
  9. 400 up on the league cup attendance last year
  10. It’s not rocket science that other parties will start expressing interest once they see someone in takeover negotiations. The BoD are one their way out over the next few months in any case, whether they’ll be replaced by BtB or someone else. Thankfully, the vast majority of fans understand that takeover processes take time, as shown by the crowd today 400 up on this stage last year. Whether 50 people boycott or don’t will not make any difference to an ongoing takeover negotiation.
  11. Happy to discuss the statement. While interesting, it didn’t really tell us much new information. I actually think the BtB bid may well be the best way forward at this stage. However, it seems naive at best to think that the BoD shouldn’t even consider other offers that may well be serious and positive for the club. They may not be, but the club are right to have a look, and that is a process that unfortunately takes time. It is also naive to assume you have preferred bidder status when this hasn’t even been confirmed verbally by the party selling, never mind in writing. I hope the BtB proposal can be progressed if the other bids are not suitable, as I think it is in the best interests of everyone involved. However, the BoD are duty bound to investigate all options on the table, and the other bids on the table may well have something to offer the football club, which is what matters most in all of this.
  12. Much better once Johnstone came on. Also great to see an attendance of 2121, which is significantly higher than last season. The vast majority of fans clearly not observing any boycott.
  13. Difficult to make judgements against a premier league team, but have to say a few concerning signs so far. Midfield weak as water and very limited quality going forward.
  14. Falkirk should be a premier league football club, and top six should not be beyond us. We had 5000 fans at the bottom of the championship last season and we’d be getting significantly more in the top 6 of the premier league.
  15. Our directors don’t receive any payment from the club, so lower season ticket sales will have absolutely no impact on them.
  16. I’m not sure how not buying season tickets to reduce the income of people who are unpaid volunteers will really be effective, but people have to make that decision for themselves.
  17. Purely making a factual observation as to the number of season tickets we’ve sold. People are perfectly entitled not to renew for whatever reason they wish but the fact is the vast majority have renewed.
  18. We’re sitting at over 2000 sold at the moment, and I think we’ll end with between 2300-2500. Very little reduction really from last season.
  19. Hippolyte on trial at Bradford City. Bit of a shame as I think he’d have torn apart league 1.
  20. Toshney is more than adequate for a back up place in league 1 and has the bonus of covering two positions. Not sure who people expect us to get to sit on the bench in the third tier. I couldn’t care less if it’s an old pals act. Far rather that than Ray signing players he hasn’t a clue about. We saw how that worked out last year.
  21. With is building an entire team from scratch, it will take time for Ray to get them to gel and play together. There should be no panicking until the end of October at least even if we’re not firing on all cylinders.
  22. Conor Sammon has played over 150 games in the top tiers of English football including 31 appearances in the Premier League. He is an absolutely outstanding signing for this level and will get 30 goals IMO. I can’t see us bringing in many more big names and we’ll now be looking for loan signings and prospects to pad out the bench.
  23. Ray has signed some quality attacking talent in Tidser, Connolly and Telfer, added to the talent Maclean offers. However, his first priority will rightly be keeping it tight at the back and not conceding silly goals. 4-2-3-1 of perfect for this as it allows us to go to a midfield 5 when defending. We also have the option of playing Tidser deeper alongside McShane and Gomis in a 4-5-1 in away games against the likes of Raith and Airdrie.
